Parmer Woods is such a nice, peaceful residence for my old friend. His space is clean and comfortable, with sunlight coming through the windows and pleasant temperatures. The staff is warm, friendly and welcoming. I’m so happy his family chose your facility.
June 2026
The friend I visited was well cared for and treated kindly. Staff were kind and helpful to me. My friend and her unit appeared clean. Loved the unusual bird cage and happy to see the therapy dog that visits weekly. Nice music for this population.
April 2026
Pleasant atmosphere, caring and attentive staff.

I wish I could recommend Parmer Woods, but unfortunately I can’t at this time. My mother has lived here for over two years, and while there are positives—the residents are friendly and the staff is responsive—the dining experience has become a serious and ongoing issue. When she first moved in, the food was fine. Over time, however, it has declined significantly. The quality, variety, flavor, and service of meals are consistently disappointing, especially at lunch and dinner. It has gotten so bad that my mother regularly skips those meals altogether. Breakfast is the exception: food is warm, arrives on time, and tastes good—likely because fewer residents are dining then. That contrast makes the problems at other meals even more noticeable. What’s most frustrating is that this isn’t a new or isolated complaint. Residents have repeatedly raised concerns about both the food and dining room service. Management has acknowledged these issues, yet nothing has improved. For a community like this, consistent, quality dining should be a basic expectation. Right now, it’s falling far short.

My older brother Mark is happy and so glad to be a resident here. He just recently moved in and is comfortable and feels at home.

Every time I turn around I'm more and more impressed with the staff, PA, and the PT folks. Always with a smile. Hat off to the chef, large portions and is good even for a picky eater like my mother.

My mom has been happy and has been in good shape here in Memory Care. My mother fights all of us in taking a bath, yet, between us all and my sister, we get her showered best we can. The staff is always pleasant and participating with the residents. My mother loves the food and the activities and she adores Ms. Dena and Bernard. I am thankful we found Parmer Woods for my mom.

Parmer Woods at North Austin is an excellent facility, all of the staff is so caring. Morgan is the best nurse to coordinate with and talk to. He is so kind, knowledgeable and advocates the best for all of his patients. So thankful for him! I would absolutely have my own loved ones live here.
May 2025
I had many restless nights prior to joining the Parmer Woods family. My loved one was determined to have independence but in reality, he needed help and a sense of community coming out of the isolation of COVID. We toured many places, from South Austin to North and there was no doubt, none felt as welcoming & energetic as Parmer Woods. Not too big, not too small, everyone is a familiar face. Whether it's a welcoming smile from Jennifer when you arrive, or a sweet hello from Bernie as he bounces between tasks, having this familiarity is important and it makes a tremendous difference for the residents. The transition from assisted living to memory care was seamless. This is a resource not available at all facilities and probably one of the most important things to consider. Brandy is phenomenal! She kept me informed, help bring me ease and was always ahead of any issue that may arise. Her guidance when it was time to make adjustments to therapies, medications, hospice etc was remarkable. Sherie is an angel on Earth. Every resident, and their family, are blessed to have such an incredible person caring for our loves. She sparked a personality in my loved one that had been buried for years, a smile and a laugh that never shined so bright. Ill be forever grateful for these ladies and every helping hand in the memory care side. Joe, Tori & Morgan are a great trio and always helped guide me and answer any and all questions about the the in & outs of everything, no question too big or too small. I would pick Parmer Woods all over again and will continue to recommend them for any family in need of their care.

Camber Ranch has been Awesome! Manager is kind and she always returns my calls and emails. The staff is just as helpful and patient as the manager. The property is beautiful and for the most part it’s always quite. Safety is a big issue for me and I feel safe here. Also, I love that every month there is a special activity for the renters. There’s many more benefits to renting here, like free coffee everyday. If you’re looking for a place, check Camber Ranch out. You may be happy you did.

Our loved one was a resident at Parmer Woods North Austin Memory Care from August 2021 through December 2022. Here is a summary of our experience: •Caring (though overworked and understaffed) direct care staff (especially Dina, Candeh, Tannette, Kevin, Leslie and a few others). •Major safety concerns in the “periodic checks” for bedbound resident. On multiple occasions, we discovered no one had checked on resident for over 7 hours at night. •Turnover with a total of: 3 different Executive Directors and 3 different Memory Care/Wellness Directors. •3 occasions of medicine mismanagement: -medication left out in resident room, -medication given to wrong resident, -significant incorrect dose given to resident. •Courtyard lights broken for months even with multiple attempts to address safety with Admin. •Care Plan meetings were rarely initiated by Parmer Woods Nursing/Memory Care Admin. Admin. was however receptive to meeting when Care Plans were initiated by family.

April 2024
We are thrilled with Mom's move to Parmer Woods! Having just moved her from out of state, our experience at her first community was less than desirable. Parmer Woods is exactly what I was looking for. She has done more in her first 9 days than 2 1/2 months at her previous community. The residents have been very welcoming and the staff is very kind and caring. I would highly recommend moving your loved ones here.
April 2024
My Mom looks forward to all the meals! She loves the food at Parmer Woods. She had breakfast and then I helped her shower and then she was looking forward to the activities. I was impressed with how clean and well maintained the whole facility looks all the time. The staff all know my Mom’s name and they recognize me too. Mom’s bed and room are always clean and Mom seems happy most of the time when I visit her. Mom always seems well nourished and well hydrated. Im so happy Mom is receiving good care. Ive been a nurse many years and I know my Mom can be challenging. Great job everyone at Parmer Woods! Thank you for being so caring to Mom and towards me too!

A heartfelt thank you to Parmer Woods at North Austin. My father lived here from Feb 2021 through March 2024, most of that time in the memory care unit. Throughout that time, the Parmer Woods caregivers were so kind to him, and to our family. From the bottom of my heart: thank you.
March 2024
It's a really nice place and really pretty and everybody is really welcome you
March 2024
I wish I’d found Parmer Woods earlier in my search for assisted living for my mother, but if I had I might not have recognized just how perfect of a place it is! The facility itself is great—established and cozy enough to feel comfortable, but with all the room updates and upgrades that you could wish for in a modern apartment building—and surrounds a large beautiful courtyard for outdoors enjoyment. The real difference, though, are the folks in charge—super welcoming, engaged, energetic, and experienced in all aspects of elder care. As my mother’s primary caretaker for the past eight years, I’m overwhelmingly appreciative of the passion everyone has for their work and the level of coordination they bring to meeting ALL of the needs of their residents (and families).

My mom has been here in memory care for 10 months. She loves everybody there. It has been a ruff road with her but everyone there I've met are so awesome & show they care for the residents. It's the best place for mom. ’
September 2023
The staff is friendly and professional. It was a rocky start for my mom and myself once a decision was made she needed additional care than I could provide in-home. The staff was able to alleviate my stress with helpful answers and the care I saw them give. Mom is now settling in and is smiling. My family can relax knowing she is receiving great care at Parmer Wood.

We spent over a month looking for an assisted living facility in the North Austin area. So far, everything is great, relative has been there 3 weeks. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Out of all the place I have seen, this is by far the most "family" oriented. Lots of good programs going on each week.

*Note- The last review Posted here was August 2021. (Amy, correct. "Very concerned about the health and welfare of the residents!" Now, it is 20 months later. Our family was involved with Parmer Woods Assisted Living AND then Memory Care for a year. We (3 siblings) visited almost every day which makes what we are telling you valid. We saw it, heard it and felt it. What we are saying can be substantiated by current staff, past staff, pictures and texts. Parmer Woods is a very unhealthy environment! No leadership(no Ex Dir for 8/12 mo and counting) No Activities Director in MC (for 7/12 months and counting) Therefore, when we communicated concerns ( we did in multiple meetings with Parmer Woods Staff AND corporate level) usually nothing happened. They were just irritated with us. Concerns you ask? Why doesn't he have his oxygen? Why would you speak to him like that? Why are there people urinating on the floor in his room? Why is the "go to activity" watching TV? Why Inconsistent when following his Medication Administration Record and Care Plan? (didn't assist in brushing teeth for sometimes a week) Why are his hearing aids in wrong ears? Still blood on floor? Sad!

My father just left Parmer Woods Memory care on Parmer lane austin tx. In not even 24 hours I could tell the difference in care and concern for my father. I received texts about how he was doing and the questions I asked were listened to and I was told how the solutions would be implemented. Unfortunately not always the case at Parmer Woods. Please look around elsewhere if you are considering Parmer Woods. Poets Walk in Pflugerville tx , the cottages on Chandler Creek in Round Rock and soon to be open in Pflugerville tx is Sage Valley memory care. I would have seriously considered Sage Valley if the time frame allowed. They will open June 1st. Make surprise visits to all facilities, look at the faces of the Memory Care residents. Are they watching tv every time you visit or is the staff engaged? If the residents are looking at exercises on tv is there a caregiver encouraging the residents to engage or is it being used as a babysitter? If you can, talk to a residents family member. God Bless you in your journey. I just know the disappointment we had in Parmer Woods Memory Care.
