My mom has been here for over 3 years. I like the service improvements and new decor. I’ve built relationships with a lot of staff as they know my name. Several staff stand out to me from Jennifer , mom’s Medical assistant , who is one of her long time employee. She’s a hustler and knows what mom needs usually before mom asks. Next is the Director of Housekeeping , is a delight to talk to and always quick to address mom’s needs. Lastly, the receptionist , Mazie, he is on top of a lot activity and always calm and in the ball. I like it when I walk in the front door and he’s already updating me on mom’s appointment driver . status. Oh, mom’s nurse, Bobby, is on the ball and so friendly to talk with. I live at Laurel Court now, haven’t been here for too long. A month or so ago I was trying to get out of my wheelchair, but had gotten my dress caught up in the gears of the leg rest. With my dress caught, I couldn’t reach the controls of my chair, and also couldn’t reach my call button. I was trying to lean as much as possible on my bed. All I could do was call out for help. Ms Anna Lucio & Ms Amy Leblanc both came running in right away to help me. I could not have stood there for very long at all before I’d of been laying in the floor. I appreciate them so much!!!

Once I walked in I knew this place was special filled with life and love. You can feel this is not a regular nursing facility, these residents thrive. I was a patient there from 6/3/25 to 7/9/25. The DON, Administrator, social worker, dietary manager were ALL great. They didn't mind trying to work with you on issues and situations as they arose. The nurses were great especially. Addie, Leah, on day shift. Marie worked double weekends, she was great too. The CNAs on 2-10 and the weekend were great! Everywhere you go you're going to find people that are problems, that's the nature of this industry but the good outweigh the bad here. The wound are nurse David is awesome and the nurse that covers on the weekends Shanice was great as well, overall a great stay!

I did clinicals here and the atmosphere was really amazing. My teacher patty Bowles taught us everything we needed to know from giving insulin to how to interact with patients. Very well organized nursing home!!

Brought my son to Laurel Court to volunteer during the summer. We helped out by passing trays to the residents and helping them with utensils, silverware, and their drinks. Nurse Patty B. Was phenomenal with the patents each time we came. She is passionate about taking care of the residents and it is evident by each and every interaction she has with them. The was also very helpful in getting us set up to volunteer. She is a great nurse and very professional . We are glad that the people at Laurel Court have nurses like this that they can depend on.

This is my experience while being at the Laurel Court rehabilitation center in Alvin Texas. I came with a total hip replacement and broken sacrum. My perception of a one over the cuckoo's nest atmosphere was instantly dissolved as I was welcomed with open arms and total professional Care from the nursing staff mainly Melissa Benda charge nurse. It's been there made sure that my concerns were met with a total professional Care. My needs were met my concerns were taken care of I give her a five-star rating all by herself because of her total care and concern for my recovery. I was then introduced to my nurse practitioner named Emily a skilled professional who made sure all my needs were met with proper diagnosis and medicines needed to promote my healing. I then went to physical therapy team Lauren and Ebony. Ebony specialized in muscle tone working my upper body whereas Laura worked my legs a little different mini aspects they both were determined to achieve maximum benefits that that all my needs. That's after these two people that promoted my healing and helped me get my strength back. I was then introduced to Debbie who worked on taking care of my personal needs such as bathing meals bedding needs Debbie was also very enthusiastic person who cared about her patients and a loving caring manner.. doesn't make me laugh Debbie listened and that's very important part of healing. All along I stay here at Laurel Court has been an exceptionally pleasant. A very clean professional atmosphere with concurring people working together to ensure all my healthcare needs or taken care of.

I was so impressed with this facility. My friend was put on Hospice and had to go into a nursing home and this was recommended. The first thing I noticed was there was no smell, like most nursing homes. She only lived a month but that last month of her life, she lived like a Princess. She never wanted for anything while in there. I tried to visit her at least every other day, and never, not once did I show up where she was souled or complained about anything. She had no family, but the staff treated her with compassion, like she was family.

I want to commend several members of your staff who I feel go above and beyond on a daily basis. My mother came to Laurel Court in October 2024 due to her inability to care for herself as before, in addition to an onset of dementia. I really struggled with this personally as she had always been a very independent and strong woman. Seeing these changes are never easy and I prayed so hard for her health to improve. Along the way, I have befriended so many of the residences as well as staff. I visit 4-5 days a week and volunteer on Tuesdays to read to the residences. In addition to ensuring my mom sees me, I also spend time with the residences. They’ve grown to know me and all want to adopt me. They’re so wonderful. I struggle a little with the changes I see in their health as I learn to navigate my way thru a new world for me. A world that includes dementia. But I also know I’m making a difference in their lives. My mom’s care is of the utmost importance. Two nurse aides in particular caught my attention early on Casey and Claudia. Also, the caring of two nurses as well Ryesha and Jacqueline. These four are examples of what hero’s look like. They understand compassion and that our families are treated with the care and love they deserve. They show up not only to do their jobs but to show the residences they mean something. They have value. I also give hugs and laugh daily when I visit. My hope is that I also make a difference. It would be nice to see mom get better. Wherever the road leads, I feel certain this facility has also been good for me. Please allow these four to know how much they are appreciated and you’ll continue to see me showing up as much as possible to bring additional smiles. Blessings!

I think one of the hardest decisions a family has to make is not being able to provide the care needed for their loved one. My siblings and I struggled so much as we came to realize that our mother was no longer going to be able to live on her own and we could not afford 24 hr care for her. Laurel Court and their amazing employees not only helped us navigate her placement there but helped us personally during this very emotional time. I personally have shed quite a few tears and if it were not for Casey Folk and Dulce Martinez giving me hugs and reassurance in those early days of placement I would have been lost. They are so amazing and very vested in their patients. The way they care for my mom is extraordinary and she is so blessed to have them to care for her. Another huge shout out to Ryesha Hooper my mother's weekend nurse. You can tell she has a heart of gold and loves what she does. I can usually see my mom on the weekend and Ryesha is always there. She is always smiling and so helpful. She knows that I struggle with my mom having to be somewhere other than home and she truly looks out of her and champions her. I met Alondra, CNA, yesterday and she was so kind in helping me move my mother's things to another room 4/20. I really appreciated that. Masey (Sp?) the wonderful gentleman at the front desk is another shining example of kindness. He has been helping myself and my sister navigate the new world of long term placement and assisting with setting up/ finding specialty physicians for my mom. I would be lost without him.
