Growing up and being taken care of by wonderful parents, you find yourself later in years needing to assist with care for your mother. Morningside of Springfield is exactly where you find the compassionate care you look for. I’ve had the privilege to attend special events for their residents. Recently they hosted a Garden Party. The residents dressed for a party and family members were invited to join them. The staff go out of their way to make events like this very special. Live music, great food and an opportunity for them to socialize with others. Staff are there to assist in Daily Activities of Living when needed. Meals are great and it’s a treat to watch the residents socializing with activities and games. Nurses and Patient Care Assistants are providing excellent care and support as needed. Thank you.

My family and I recently visited Morningside of Springfield, and we had such a wonderful experience. Everyone was so kind, welcoming, and truly caring. The director was especially thoughtful and took the time to show us around and explain everything in detail. She made us feel comfortable and confident in how well the residents are cared for. Making the decision to move our mother in with her dementia hasn't been easy, but this gave us peace of mind knowing she will be in a safe and loving environment. We're hopeful her transition will go smoothly as we make her room feel like home.

My wife and I had to find a place for my mother-in-law because of her dementia, and we visited several facilities. Morningside of Springfield stood out from the others because of the community feel and the warm atmosphere. Juli, the director, made my wife feel comfortable and at ease throughout the process. She took time to answer all of our questions and listened closely to my wife’s concerns. This was not an easy decision for my wife or her brother, and her support meant a lot to our family. Desiree, the nurse, also made a strong impression on us. She made a couple of trips to our home to talk with my mother-in-law, and our discussions at the facility helped all of us feel better about the decision we made. My mother-in-law will be moving in within the next couple of weeks, and we are getting her room ready. The facility has allowed us to decorate her room so it feels more like home, and we hope that will help make the transition easier for her. The community and facility are exceptional and far better than what we expected from assisted living compared with other places we visited. It feels like a true community, friendly and caring, where the residents seem to be the top priority. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for care for a loved one. I strongly recommend that you include Morningside of Springfield in your search for the right place for your family member.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Morningside Assisted Living! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with such kindness and warmth. The staff is truly amazing”everyone we met was so friendly, caring, and genuinely invested in the well-being of their residents. The facility itself is very clean, beautiful and well-maintained, which gave us so much peace of mind. The director took the time to thoroughly explain everything, answer all of our questions, and personally show us around. She is incredibly sweet, patient, and knowledgeable, which made the entire experience feel comfortable and reassuring. Although my mother hasn’t moved in yet, I already feel so blessed and confident knowing she will be surrounded by such loving and compassionate people. It means everything to know she will be in good hands and receive the care she deserves. If you are looking for an assisted living facility for your loved one, I highly recommend Morningside. They offer so much”from physical therapy and engaging activities like crafts and events, to a beautiful dining area where residents can enjoy their meals together. There is truly something for everyone, and it’s clear they go above and beyond to make residents feel at home. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Morningside of Springfield (but I'm going to try!). Let me tell you how Juli, the Executive Director, has this place ON POINT! From the moment you walk through the doors, you are greeted by Stacy at the front desk and you can feel the kindness, patience, and genuine care the staff provides. The environment is clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed to make residents feel comfortable and safe. The caregivers go above and beyond”not just with daily support, but with the little moments that truly matter. I have to say that Janet is one of our favorites! They take time to listen, share a laugh, or lend a hand, and they always treat residents with dignity and respect. It’s clear they love what they do and Desiree, the Nursing Director, runs a well oiled machine! She really knows what she's doing! The activities and social events are fantastic as well. Trina always has something engaging happening, whether it’s crafts, music, outings, or simply gathering for conversation. It brings so much joy and connection to the residents. I love to hear my mom say, "I can't talk right now, heading to Bingo!!" Doug, the maintenance guy, is so helpful! He happily does anything that is asked of him in a timely manner and with a smile on his face! Shout-out to Charlotte, the Kitchen Manager, for being so patient with my sometimes picky mom! 🙂 Knowing my loved one is in a place where they are cared for, valued, and treated like family brings enormous peace of mind. I'm well aware that assisted living facilities and retirement homes often are painted in a negative light, that's why I’m grateful every day that my family and I found Morningside to care for our mother. I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a safe, trustworthy and compassionate home for their loved one.

My Mom is a resident of Morningside since October 2022. It took her a couple of months to settle into her new home. Staff are welcoming, caring, encouraging and patient. My Mom is a naturally quiet person. However, staff have been successful in encouraging her to participate in group activities from time to time. I am grateful for the nurse practitioners, hair stylist, podiatrist and other professionals who provide needed services to residents. It certainly makes it easier for families to have individuals.on site to provide necessary services. My family and I are very grateful for the warm loving environment at Morningside. Every single employee is engaged every single day meeting needs of residents no matter how small or large the need. Decisions to place a loved one in an assisted living facility are extremely difficult. It is a blessing to know Mom is in a safe, clean, caring, and comfortable environment. It helps us to sleep better knowing Mom is well cared for.

After our mom fell in her condo a year ago, we began seeking a place that would do a great job in keeping her not only safe, but content - and could I say possibly happy? At first, she was very resistant, and shared many reasons why she didn't need to be at Morningside. But, we filled her room with her own furniture and her comfort items such as knitting supplies, books, an Alexa, a Kuerig and even a mini-fridge. Then the staff did their magic at enticing her to come out of her room to sing hymns, or make little crafts, watch movies (with popcorn), listen to special guests, or play trivia. She got involved with a book club, and also a Spades-playing group. Another tick for normalcy is taking trips to Walmart to get needed toiletries and other trinkets. Morningside provides her with medication administration morning and night - which she has never done properly on her own - which we believe has given her energy and better health because of it. She eats a balanced diet - also something that was so needed. Mom has settled nicely into her new home - Morningside - which gives her everything that we had hoped for. They provide her with safety, social activity, love and care, and fun. Everyone - from Administration, to Nursing, Housekeeping, Kitchen Staff, and even to Maintenance has been an absolute joy. No one ever wants to have to make this choice for their loved ones. But in this case, I think we have found her home away from home. If I could ask for anything extra, it would be more field trips outside of the facility - trips to the Senior Center, or drives to see the smoking barns and the changing leaves. But we'll keep working on that!

I would like to thank Morningside of Springfield for the excellent care they gave my mom, after she fell and needed a safe place to live, for 6 weeks, while she recovered. Mom needed care and support for every personal task. She said everyone showed her love and were very gentle. She also raved about the food!!! She couldn’t wait for each meal. She made some wonderful friends while she was there and has even gone back for a visit. I would not hesitate having mom return to Morningside if she ever needs support in the future! After a year of quarantine, my husband and I were able to feel comfortable trusting mom (85) to Morningside’s care in order to have some time for retreat, rest and relaxation. We could not be more pleased (delighted!) with the care mom received. First of all, the staff was so thoughtful and patient with us as we visited and asked dozens of questions. Secondly, their careful COVID precautions put us completely at ease. And they made mom feel like a queen! We returned to find mom in such good spirits, and even stronger physically than before. She has not stopped talking about her new friends and the activities they enjoyed together, especially the music and popcorn - with soft puffed corn (no husks) and music on request where all the oldies they like were played. Mom is already excited about her next respite stay and we cannot stop thanking God for Morningside”a wonderful answer to many prayers!!

My brother moved into Morningside in early December, and my family and I have been absolutely pleased with the care and attention given him during his stay. The staff is exceptional, and very caring. There is a definite feeling of "family" fostered at Morningside, which is very genuine. Planned activities are inclusive and plentiful, and my brother has made many friends whom he regularly socializes. I was very impressed by the staff going " the extra mile" caring for my brother, even calling after working hours to keep me up to date with any changes. Throughout the pandemic I found the response of the Morningside administration always appropriate and proactive. The Covid policies put in place were very reasonable and had the best interests of the residents in mind. Communication regarding the pandemic with resident's families was consistent and frequent via email. All residents and employees are now currently vaccinated, and I don't believe there were any Covid cases amongst the residents. I can recommend this facility without any reservation if you are looking for a safe, caring environment for your loved one in need of assisted living.

I had been researching assisted living facilities close to my home for the last couple years in anticipation of a possible short-term winter stay for my father. The initial decision was very difficult for both myself, as an only child, and my strongly independent father. The staff at Morningside understood the enormity of this step and guided us with compassion and expertise. As time went by, he was increasingly grateful for the care he received and the friends he made, both with staff and other residents. When questions or concerns arose, they addressed each one with professionalism and care. I felt the staff partnered with me to provide personalized care as my father’s needs increased. They became like family to me and I’m pleased to recommend them to the community.

My name is Ann White. I have some previous experience with assisted living facilities and have no trouble rating this one the best I have encountered. Both of my parents were in an assisted living environment until their health required nursing home, skilled care, or hospitalization prior to their demise. That was my first experience in touring and selecting a facility to meet their needs and requirements for them and the rest of our family. Currently my 82 year old sister is a resident at Morningside of Springfield. I moved her to Springfield in November of 2015 and, first to a skilled care and rehabilitation facility and finally to Morningside at he end of December, 2015. She has continued to thrive in a beautiful and caring community. The meals, caring staff members, activities, group exercises, and the freedom to carry on outside activities without the daily activities of maintaining your own home made Morningside the facility of choice. I can't adequately express my deep appreciation and admiration for all of the employees that make it such a great place!!

My wife and myself would recommend Morningside of Springfield to anyone. It is operated very professionally by a caring and loving staff who have always attended very promptly to my mother's needs and our concerns. The daily administration/giving of medicines on a timely basis by the nursing staff has been a real plus to our family since mom has been a resident. We also appreciate everything the staff does to celebrate the various holidays and seasonal changes during the year as many of the residents(my mom included) spend most of their time indoors and are not able to leave the facility often. The only reason we don't rate Morningside a five out of five are some issues concerning the maintenance of the road in front of the facility and some short term staffing issues(which is being covered by a dedicated team). Both issues are being addressed by management and we are confident will be solved.
