Was visiting my cousin and I was really impressed with your facility. Had lunch and it was very good plus the employees were super helpful and nice. His living quarters were also impressive.

My mother was in the Lodge for 18 months. She was initially in assisted living and was moved to memory care as her dementia progressed. Russell and his staff did a phenomenal job caring for her and we are blessed and beyond grateful to have found such a loving, caring environment for both her and the family. Highly recommend!

I have lived at The Lodge for 8 years. The rooms are large. I love my balcony. I don't feel like I'm in a retirement home but like I'm in a vacation home. The food is great. The staff are sweet and kind. I love the trees and wildlife and the courtyard with the vegetables and the patio outside the dining room. We have a great nursing staff, caregivers, good food and service, therapy, prompt maintenance, great housekeepers and. Laundry staff… We have music, exercise, and other activities and church services on Sunday. I love the family atmosphere. And our squirrel ( Little Buddy) loves sunflower seed…

The Lodge is clean and cozy community that truly feels like home. Residents and staff become an extended family. New leadership is very hands on and approachable. I would recommend for your loved one.
January 2024
High staff turnover without regard to patients. Management does not know what they are doing and it leaves the patients to suffer.
December 2023
High staff turnover Not prepared to help families find sufficient care fwhen at last minute the lodge no longer can. And mean the basics like having someone available to walk with them to the bathroom Can’t necessarily move resident to higher level of care when needed because either too full or under staffed.. So you may need to move your loved one again. Will be charged extra for eating in their room and not dining room High fee for rides to doctors appointments and limited days and hours when they will do this Very little daily assistance for what is called assisted living But some very sweet staff But staff over worked so cantspendtimewithresidents. Don’t put them here unless you live very close or they will be very lonely z they are isolated often from even others as its not unusual to have lockdowns bc of Covid outbreaks

The Lodge is a great place! The staff are kind, caring and loving! It has excellent culture and they truly love and care for the residents and their families. The care team go above and beyond to make sure each resident is cared for. It is a beautiful community, that is well cared for.

Feels like home. Always welcoming. The director here has been very active and present; which we appreciate.
September 2023
I'd like to say that The Lodge has overcome many obstacles in the past couple months. The ED Valerie and DON Dana has been a HUGE asset here in this community! The changes alone help us to help the residents. The management team is here for their residents and not only them, but the employees. Proud of these ladies that came in and stepped up when it was much needed! Thank you so much!

My mother was at another local facility in the same area as The Lodge. After having some issues with the management trying to bully me into putting my mother in their memory care, I decided that if I was going to move her it would be to another facility. I visited The Lodge, liked the smaller atmosphere, and moved her in October of 2022. The nurses and caregivers there have been so good to my mother since her move. They treat her like family and truly love her. They have recently had some management changes but the people that "touch" my mother on a regular basis are still the same. There were some serious issues that were being "swept under the rug" unnoticed by some residents but noticed by family members that visit often. They are doing their best to make positive changes. People don't like change but in the long run some changes will turn out for the best. Everyone deserves a chance! I appreciate the new administration and their willingness to come into a horrible situation and listen to a lot of criticism for just trying to bring things up to CMS and the Tennessee Dept. of Health regulations. This will help all the residents stay safe in the long run. My mother has stroke related dementia but she loves her "faces" as she calls them, and I love them too!

Reading the reviews lately is heartbreaking and I felt compelled to add my insight. My mother moved here a year ago and while we were very happy with the friendliness and accommodations, frequently errors were made in her care and miscommunications were very common. When new management came, some of the staff who we had grown to love were let go or left. However as new people are being placed in management, I am seeing big improvements in quality of care and safety. They are still working through the kinks, but the vision is there and I can say Valerie and Dana are eager to sit down and address any concerns and I have actually seen changes be implemented quickly when brought to their attention. They have our family members best interest in mind. They are fixing a very broken system that many of us were blinded to until new management uncovered the issues. The decision to make meals be strongly encouraged in the dining room has brought many residents out of the rooms and the energy in the dining room is increasing. While many were unhappy with the added room service charge, I can say it has helped encourage community meals which is good to prevent isolation and loneliness and I fully support that decision. There are still changes being made but I plan to stick around for the ride as things are definitely on the mend and I see the end game being much better than what we had last year.

The staff at the Lodge truly sees each resident as family. The staff and management make sure to get to know each resident on a personal level, which includes knowing the residents' family, their likes/ dislikes, history and hobbies. They really work to engage each resident in the community to ensure their social, mental and emotional needs are met. You can see staff members giving residents hugs or holding their hands. There is a lot of love at The Lodge and the management has high expectations of the staff to deliver the highest quality of care. The staff works together as a team. It is a great place to be. I highly recommend it.

My Mom was a resident here for approximately 3 1/2 years before her passing and received exceptional care. From top management to maintenance staff, the employees are all super friendly and helpful. Her caregivers truly loved her and she loved them also…as do all of our family. A wonderful place!

My daughter and I visited with my special friend who is a resident here. It was a very special visit. The employees did everything possible to make us feel welcome. The two young men who brought us our lunch were exceptionally nice and helpful. I am convinced my friend is in a place that really takes care of him and makes him feel like family. It is a real blessing.

I cannot adequately express my gratitude to the folks at The Lodge at Natchez Trace. I was, like most, concerned when Mom and Dad moved into assisted living. But I need not have been. After a little time to acclimate I heard my Mom say, for the first time in a long time, Im happy. The Lodge is a clean, beautiful and friendly place. But the best thing about it is the people. Everyone Ive met on the staff has been kind and caring as well as sincere and professional. From the Maintenance Guys (Bo and Kevin) to the Executive Director (Steve) and everyone in between the Lodge is full of genuinely good folks. And that includes, of course, the residents. Mom and Dad found an extended family at the Lodge. They quickly made several good friends and became part of a community that really cares for them. In short, Mom and Dad found a Home at The Lodge. And a concerned child couldnt ask for more than that.

Got to visit my Grandma there recently for her birthday--wonderful and very accommodating staff. The facilities are very nice, and got to have dinner there which was great. Thank you!
August 2019
We moved my mother-in-law to the Lodge from a community in Hanover, PA. I couldnt be happier with the care and compassion they showed. Mom has dementia and the move could have been very traumatic for her. Instead there was a welcoming committee waiting at the entrance for her. They escorted her to her room, made sure she was comfortable, and have shown a day-in-day-out care for her every day she has been there.

If you are looking for a place for your loved one, look no further. My father has been here over two years and it has been an excellent choice for both of us. The management staff is very friendly, approachable, and willing to resolve problems. The building is beautiful, inviting and well maintained. The nurses are some of the most dedicated health care professionals around. Each patient is carefully monitored. Technician and laundry staff are very helpful. The dining room at The Lodge is really fine dining in Nashville. Meal times are the highlight of the day. David Fritz and his team prepare varied menus and each person is allowed to choose from a menu. Food is served promptly by a cheerful, accommodating staff. This is it!

I am so grateful for The Lodges staff. The Lodge was home for my mother for 3 1, 2 years. She loved the residents and the staff. They treated her with dignity and respect and they truly loved her. You know you are in a good place when you see so many people smiling and having a good time just being together.

Dad loves living here. Great director, caring staff, clean, well-run facility. The director, John, knows how to manage good talent and The Lodge is fortunate to have a chef with advanced degrees in culinary arts and a background in fine dining. When you ask Dad his favorite thing about The Lodge, his answer is THE FOOD! We agree. Chef David has very high standards for food quality. He cooks from scratch, with high quality ingredients. The meals he and his staff turn out are as good as any high-end restaurant in the city. Hand-made crab cakes with house-made dill sauce, shrimp and grits, short ribs and pecan pie are just a few of his most requested dishes. The house-made salad dressings are delicious. Families of residents know about this secret place for an amazing lunch. Not only are Chef David and the dining staff amazing in the kitchen, you can tell they genuinely care about the residents, and the feeling is mutual. After cooking, Chef David comes into the dining room and visits with the residents. You can tell they love him. Five stars for awesome food and a warm, safe, loving atmosphere!

We love The Lodge so much, that we have used them for 2 relatives now. My Mother-In-Law lived there in 2016 up until she passed away. And now my mother is living there. The food is EXCELLENT, thanks to Davids leadership. The staff is incredibly caring and kind. Thank you all for taking such good care of Mom!
