I can not write a review about the facility as I have never visited or had a loved one here. I can definitely attest to the character of two staff members I met recently. On a Friday evening after 5 pm I came to Asbury Place as it was the closest business in my route. I am a delivery driver on my 2nd day on the job and my cell phone had completely died suddenly leaving me with no way to finish my route or contact someone for help. I stopped at the first office I came to and when I tried the door it was locked. As I started back to my car, Clarissa came to the door and asked if she could help me. I told her I was so sorry to bother her as I had just realized they were closed. She said it was no bother at all and asked how she could help. I just knew she was going to think it was crazy for a stranger to stop and ask to charge their phone especially after closing time on a Friday! Lol To my surprise she immediately invited me in and offered to charge my phone, gave me a cool place to sit in the waiting area and offered something to drink. She was so kind and sympathetic to my situation and told me not to worry as my phone would be charged and I'd be back in route in no time. Tammy came in and saved the day as well by providing me with a new plug and cord to fast charge my phone as we realized my cord was bad and not charging. She even insisted I take the charger with me so I was never stranded again with no way to charge my phone or call for help. They both stayed with me and made sure I had plenty of battery to continue charging in route before I left their office, and made sure there was nothing else I needed. They truly went above and beyond to help me. Without their assistance I could have lost my job for never showing up or have been left stranded with no way to call for help. I am so grateful for their kindness. I feel certain their community and it's residents and families here are in great hands with such kind and caring staff as Clarissa and Tammy. Thank you both for showing such kindness to a complete stranger when I needed it most.

Our apartment has an awesome view of the "Smokies"! Also, we get a lot of sunlight in the apartment, which makes it cheerful. The Bistro is just across the street. We like the way the Campus is laid out. All the people are very friendly .

Asbury took good care of my mom and dad. Everyone worked together to make sure they were cared for. The kitchen staff, caregivers and nurses looked after them with love. Thankful for the new director, who is working hard to make things better for the staff and residents.

We have our dad there in skilled nursing. I can’t tell you how happy we are with the staff there. Sally, Heather, Jennifer, Lita and Frog have been truly amazing. They go above and beyond to make sure that our dad is well cared for and happy. Thank you for giving us such peace of mind.

I cannot say how pleased we are with Asbury. From the moment we walked in (without an appointment) the staff at Asbury went above and beyond to make sure my mom would have the services she needed.

The Patton family wants to thank Asbury Place for the exceptional care it has provided to James Patton in Assisted Living for the past 17 years; and for the 5 year Long Term Care for Joyce Patton prior to her death in 2011. They both received excellent care from the nurses and staff making them feel like they were at home. Jim is a stroke victim and paralyzed on the right side, has extreme aphasia, and can no longer read or write. The staff and nurses took extra care to assure they knew what he wanted or needed. Tomorrow, Dec. 1, Jim will be the last resident to vacate the original building.

I moved to Asbury Place Maryville three weeks ago. Asbury Place Maryville has exceeded my expectations in every respect. Residents are very outgoing, friendly and welcoming. Staff goes out of their way to be helpful. A Great Place!

The wife and I have been looking for the right CCRC to "grow old in place". Today we toured Asbury Place Maryville with the help of Suzy Cloyd, Directors of Sales. She was both caring and professional at the same time. Answering all our questions and giving us information on items we did not know to ask about. How refreshing it was to have someone ask what we needed and wanted. She wanted to make sure Asbury was the right fit for us, not can she make us fit into Ashbury. Thanks Suzy - Lenny and Tina

Valerie Gorman took care of our dying family member. I believe she’s the house supervisor and she took the time to listen to our complaints and she personally took our dad as her personal case. She was very thorough with him and catered to all our needs. I’m glad we had the opportunity to have Valerie. She made the process a little less painful.

Valerie was really kind and helpful to us. She stated she was the new point of contact for weekend questions. I’m happy with the new change and a step towards the right direction in getting family members the peace of mind we deserve especially if we are out of state and cannot be with our family all the time.

Valerie Gorman has helped keep me in the loop with my mothers care. She answers the phone quickly and is able to answer my questions promptly. I have to say that she cares immensely about making sure she knows every detail of my mothers situation and condition. She listens to us, which is refreshing from previous times where we would get an I don’t know and never call us back. I feel a little more at ease knowing that she’s overseeing that things get done correctly and in a timely manner. Thank you, she is understanding and by the time we finished talking I to me, I was more relax and confident on my next steps to follow because all her knowledge. Thank you again.

Called a couple of times to talk to a family member and spoke with Valerie multiple times. She is very quick to answer the phone and answer questions. When I needed to be called back she called me back within 20 minutes. She said she was weekend supervisor and it seems like this place is turning around. Great customer service, Valerie I know that if I need anything off hours she will be there to help.

Asbury was good at first. I moved there in January the year of the pandemic and the first two months were great. Then came the pandemics and everyone left the nurses the CNAs we were locked in our rooms for over a year. It was not a good time it was not a fun time. And I felt like we were getting back on track and then I got sick and I had an issue with my leg and so on the 29th of April they sent me to the ER and I felt like I would be going back there after that but no they left all my stuff out and just abandoned me and I felt like they threw me out and I'm not a happy person. I'm in rehab facility right now and when I finish with therapy my caseworker is working to get me back into an independent living facility but never ever would I recommend going to Asbury . I broke the rules by vaping I don't recommend it for anyone that's older unless they are so independent that they can drive themselves and do whatever they need to do.and that's why I was asked to leave or that's why I was kicked out and there's so many staff there that do it it's not a big deal but it was against the rules and I did break the rules so part of this is my own fault but we're at where I am now it's not good. Our 97 year old aunt was a two year resident at Asbury Beech House with excellent care. Love the smaller building with a dedicated staff. She was most recently at Rehab. Jason Young our social worker was exceptional. He went above and beyond our expectations and he was a rock star in helping with us transfer her back to Florida. Jamie the Nurse Manager was a shining star on the memory care team. We loved Asbury.

Cannot say enough about the level of help and guidance that Brian. We had to quickly move our mom into a place that could be better suited to provide the assistance she needed. The tour and staff were excellent and showed we made a good choice. Brian moved along all paperwork quickly. Beyond helpful.

If your loved one has dementia and is a wanderer, the memory care facility is not a good option. My mom got out of the facility, and the administration's solution was for us to pay a sitter $24/hr to watch her during the day, on top of the $8K per month that my parents paid to be there. They gave us a 30-day notice of eviction if there was a lapse in sitter coverage. The staff interacting with my parents on a regular basis were great, but they were stretched thin and understaffed.

We have lived at Asbury Maryville for 10 years. Mark Henry is the best Facilities Director by far that we have ever had. He has instituted procedures that have streamlined work orders. He has been able to hire, supervise and organize an excellent well qualified workforce. Within a limited budget and with difficult vendors he has worked very hard to make our campus as comfortable and attractive as he can. He is an invaluable asset to Asbury. We are very fortunate to have him.

My parents recently made a major move from Ohio to Asbury Place in Tennessee and we had a great experience working through that with Rita. She helped me through forms and answered all questions to make the move happen in less than a month. While they've only been at Asbury a short time, I've been very favorably impressed with the care team thus far.

I placed my father at Asbury’s memory care. The facilities were wonderful and the staff became like family. Later, I placed my mother in assisted living there. To this day she can’t believe she waited as long as she did to try living somewhere other than her home. She now has endless activities and orders food at the dining hall from a menu three meals a day as if she were on vacation.Rita Kriss helped our family in so many ways, turning hard decisions into happy experiences.

I was told by an outside provider that my 89-year-old father had to be moved as soon as possible from one level of care to another at Asbury. The fine folks at Asbury went above and beyond in a complicated situation. Employee Rita Kriss stayed late on a Friday and came back on Saturday to make sure that his new but empty room had been supplied not only with essential furniture and a working TV, but also she added unexpected decorative touches such as faux potted plants. Deborah Spencer, Debbie. O’Dell, and Beverley Jamison along with the nurses and PCAs on his nursing home floor have been incredibly kind, compassionate, and helpful over the past couple of years. The staff are my heroes.

The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because they are just barely a step above nhc. The skilled nursing facility is horrible. No one ever stays in contact with family. No one ever answers the phones. No one ever calls you back. There is very little communication with family and between staff members. The lack of care and compassion on the residents is unbelievable!!! This place needs to be shut down and investigated for negelct and abuse. There are staff that steal things from residents and curse residents. They ignore distress calls and let's them lay in thier own filth for hours on end. It's absolutely ridiculous

We moved to Asbury Place in May and enjoy it very much. We have met a lot of interesting people and enjoy all the various activities provided by Asbury. Have a problem with the response to our work order requests.

We are future residents of Asbury, but right now I'm very unhappy and feel cheated, for we are paying rent on a house that we can not occupy. We sighed the contract on 15 September and started paying rent on that date, with the promise that certain improvements would be made. Thirty five days later the improvements have not been made and the house is full of detritus. Make sure the residence is up to standard with the work completed before signing the contract.

Many folks like living here. They provide a wide range of services. Not really impressed with care given to patients in rehab area. Visitors just have to hunt an employee if a patient is not in their room or has been moved somewhere.
