Our loved one has received wonderful care at this facility. Jennifer Posey was so helpful in guiding us through the initial admissions process. The staff has done their best to treat our family member lovingly with prompt attention as needed. McArthur Manor has a family-like atmosphere with fun activities and employees that truly care about the residents. Claire Mitchell (Nursing Department) is always available to answer any questions and help with health concerns. If she is busy, she is prompt to return your phone calls. We feel fortunate that our mother is a resident at McArthur Manor. She has dementia and has been with them for three years now. We've had our ups and downs but the staff has helped keep her healthy and safe.We are also happy that they suggested Adoration Hospice be included to help with her care. They all work together to give mother the care she needs. They will never ask us to move mother to another facility. Thank you all!

While the staff at this assisted living facility treated my father kindly, it became very clear that they were not equipped to handle the behaviors and needs associated with dementia or Alzheimer’s. What’s most frustrating is that they were not forthcoming about their limitations in this area when we first moved him in. Over the course of six months, they sent my father to geriatric psych wards three separate times, rather than managing his care on-site in a more supportive way. Instead of addressing his dementia-related behaviors with understanding, their approach was to medicate. At one point, he was so heavily sedated that he was barely functioning”walking around like a zombie, which was both heartbreaking and infuriating to witness. He is now in a memory care facility specifically trained to care for those with dementia, and the difference is night and day. They do not view his symptoms as bad behavior but as part of the illness. Since transitioning, he has been taken off all of the psych medications that were prescribed at the previous facility and is doing well. This experience has been a difficult lesson. If your loved one is living with dementia, I urge you to make sure the facility you choose is truly prepared to meet their specific needs”not just in words, but in action.

Mom loves it here. one problem, last Sunday you had a fire alarm. one resident blocked the front door due to her large motorized wheel chair. The powered door opener failed to fully open causing around 10 residents to be blocked in. you should verify all of your residents are able to evacuate. all exit doors must fully open!!! . 04/29/2025: Mom happy and appears well. Staff remains attentive. Facility kept up.

McArthur Manor is the most wonderful assisted living facility ever - there are so many amazing things about it and I feel very fortunate to have them caring for my mom. The private rooms and common areas are always super clean, the staff are the most compassionate you will ever find and respond to her calls for assistance immediately. The meals are delicious and home-cooked, the activities are all day long and again, I just can’t say enough about how kind and gentle all of the staff are - it’s not just a job for them but they truly put their hearts into serving others.

We moved my mother-in-law toMcArthur Manor seven weeks ago. From the very first moment they went above and beyond taking care of her. Every single staff member was so sweet, kind, friendly, proactive and always available when we needed any help. Claire and Jennifer always answered our questions with compassion. They made sure to keep us in the loop whenever there were problems or concerns. We would recommend McArthur Manor to anyone with a loved one that needs help. We can’t thank everyone there enough.

The staff is so friendly and they take excellent care of my grandmother. She celebrated her 100th birthday and the staff did an amazing job organizing a special party for her. The facility is beautiful inside and out. A wonderful waterfall to sit by and visit and rocking chairs outside as well. The staff does an amazing job with fun activities everyday and keeping the residents busy. So glad we found McArthur Manor.

I was my husband's caregiver for the last several years, but when I had a hospital stay and surgery, our daughter and son-in-law moved my husband to McArthur Manor where he will be staying until all of my health issues are addressed, which may take several months. The staff and every employee has gone the extra mile to make his transition as smooth and trauma free as possible. He could not ask for better care.

My Dad moved into McArthur Manor, March 2022 - as he was not quite ready to make a change Jennifer Posey, gave us 2 tours! She introduced us to all the staff gave us a nice tour of the facility. After a couple of weeks Dad agreed, and we moved him in. Shortly after his move, he had a heart attack with a lengthy hospital stay, as a young daughter I have never dealt with ER's, ICU stays, transfers to skilled care and then transferred back to McArthur Manor. Jennifer was with us every step of the way to make sure we had all the info we needed to make good decisions regarding dad's health and safety. He is doing well, back to the puzzle table and bingo games. The dining is quite nice, with options if you don't like what is on the menu for the meal. Jennifer checks in periodically, if we don't see her throughout the week. All the staff have been really fantastic, they care about their residents and their families. We couldn't be happier with this living situation.

The person I was visiting needed assistance with a couple things. The ladies took care of those needs as soon as the request was made and they were professional and kind. They asked if there was anything else that was needed. One couldn't ask for better care.

My mother-in-law moved in recently and I was so impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and maybe more importantly, the kindness of the staff. Someone is always around unlike other facilities where the staff seems to hide together like it’s a game of hide and seek. The staff at MM are warm, welcoming and caring”which is ultimately the most important thing when leaving your loved one in the care of other people. It’s always sad when a family member requires greater care than you can provide and you make the heartbreaking decision that it is time for them to move into an assisted living facility but the staff at MM gives you peace as you walk out the door that first time knowing they are being treated with kindness and dignity. Thank you McArthur Manor for taking good care of my sweet mother-in-law.

I was helping to conduct church services for the residents again today. We do this to assist residents and their families who have asked us to do church services for them. We use only about 45 minutes in assisting your residents with their spiritual request. Staff members were better today than in recent months, but some still walk through talking loudly and appear to have no respect for the residents who want to worship God. Others come through quietly and don’t talk until they are a fair distance from the residents in worship. Is there any logical reason why we could not have worship services in the empty dinning area to free up the entrance traffic and at the same time have a quieter place for your residents to worship?
