So thankful for the continued care, love, and concern shown for my mom throughout the 5+ years spent at SV/Charter Sr. Living. Kendra and the staff there have been very accommodating in meeting our needs at many different levels. It is such a comfort knowing that Mom is being cared for by those who are called to provide the individual attention needed by the residents.

For the past 9 years my mentally challenged cousin has been at the facility. I can't say enough about how much the staff has done for her. The manager Kendra has gone far beyond normal expectations to assist her and make sure she is well taken care of and she's thriving. I can't say how much I appreciate everything that they have done for her and they continue to do each day.

We can't say enough about the director, Kendra. When our neighbor Ronald needed to have more assistance with his daily living, Kendra welcomed him into the facility and made it an easy transition. She knows Ronald by name, updates us as needed, and has gotten to know the best ways to communicate with him so he understands. It was a hard decision to move him and find the right place to help care for him. Without Kendra, it wouldn't have been as easy. Thanks to her, we have no worries.

I am writing this review to provide our perspective of Charter Senior Living (CSL) staff and facility. CSL assumed ownership of Summit View (SV) at the end of September 2023. My mother has been a resident of both SV and now CSL for over 5 years. During that time, she lived first in the Independent Living section and subsequently in the Assisted Living section. Staffing and maintenance, prior to CSL assuming ownership, was problematic, resulting in concerns about the level of care provided at SV. Kendra, the director, was aware of these problems and did her best to intervene, making adjustments as she was allowed by SV. After CSL assumed ownership, we have found staffing and facility maintenance to be improving (i.e., less staff turnover, more aides assigned to each shift). As a non-profit SV was dedicated to maintaining the lowest cost possible to serve the broadest range of resident incomes. In our opinion, this emphasis on lowest cost may have contributed to the long-term maintenance and staffing issues. Since CSL assumed ownership, facility and staffing problems are starting to be addressed, albeit at higher resident rents. My mother has been transported to the emergency room (ER) at least 4 times since she moved into SV / CSL. In each instance I was notified of my mother's emergency condition and her impending transport to the ER. My experience is that SV / CSL nurses always try to notify the contact person and transmit the necessary paperwork to the ER with the ambulance. Director Kendra has been, and is, one of the bright spots at SV / CSL. She tries extremely hard to serve everyone there and maintain the highest level of service for all residents. It is obvious she is highly skilled and competent in her job.

Kendra and her team are outstanding. They promised to take care of my mom 2 years ago and they still are. Mom was in hospital recently and the employees called and visited her on a regular basis. I couldn't have found any place better.

A good place with a great atmosphere! There's activities for the residents every day of the week, very nice, new renovated rooms, and the staff are caring and thorough. If you are looking for a place that cares with an uplifting atmosphere, this is it!

Kendra at Charter Summit View has been so helpful and informative as my brother and I work to determine the next steps in our sister's care. Kendra has answered so many questions and helped us understand how to navigate the insurance and Medicare world as well as understand the best solution for our sister's care. Everyone needs someone like Kendra to help them navigate this scary, overwhelming world of senior care. She is transparent and knowledgeable, basically a God send in this journey.

Last year my brother and I had to make the very tough decision to move our mom to an assisted living facility. Just as hard was choosing the best facility for her. But after visiting Summit View we knew we had found it and we haven't been disappointed. The staff did a great job in helping her transition to her new home. They have continued to help meet her needs since then. She has now been there fifteen months and we still feel this is the best place for her to be. This is a great facility with very caring staff!

My mother-n-law has been there for over 2 years. They work hard to make everyone comfortable and feel like home. Her apartment is nice and always clean. Kendra always goes above and beyond to work with the family and residents. Everyone is so nice to her and I feel completely content that she is always being cared for . My Dad has been living at Summit View for almost 2 years now, and he loves it. The staff are always friendly and eager to help. Whenever we need some help with dad or his meds or maybe he needs to get his teeth cleaned, Kendra and Vicky help us with anything from taking him to the appointment to sitting down with my sister and I to determine the best outcome for dad. Everyone is so caring and they are willing to stop what they are doing to help. May God Bless all who work and are affiliated with Summit View Senior Living.

My mom is so happy at Summit View. She has a private room full of pictures of her grandson. She loves the food and is especially fond of breakfast. Bingo on Saturdays is her favorite activity. Mrs. Coulter, and the rest of the staff, are very caring, involved with all resident needs, and quick to respond to family questions and requests .

Summit View has been a God send for my dad and our family. He was no longer able to live by himself but refused to move in with any of his children. He has always been independent and self sufficient and living at SV has given him that freedom and independence to do anything he still wants to do with assistance when needed. Kendra is always a phone call or text away and has always been very helpful. The entire staff at SV is a blessing and truly cares for the residents. Summit View has been a great place for my mom. My wife was the first to check the place out and she came back and said it felt more lively and more like home. When we all visited she was right. You walk in and there are quilts and signs on all the walls and the dining room is more like a country cafe. People were out playing cards or watching the TV in the main lobby. One of the key things we liked was the onsite physical therapy which my mom was really needing. She was not getting exercise at home or eating well. Now she is provided 3 meals a day and getting the exercise and physical therapy she needs. They will come to her room to get her and encourage her to stay on the move. She loves bingo and they also have someone that has Music sessions where they can attend to listen or sing along. Someone comes in for church services and my mom has really enjoys that. The nurses are very caring and loving and are always making sure she is doing well. Having 24/7 assistance and security has been a lifted burden because at any time if something happens, she just presses a button and someone comes to her room to check on her. Everyone there loves their job and it shows. Kendra, the director there, stays very connected with the residents and spends a lot of her time out on the floor checking on them and making sure things are going well. While we still worry at times as anyone would when their parent is older, we worry much less knowing she is being watched for, cared for and has the resources for her to have the best life she can. She is way more active than when she was at home. Residents can sign up to go to Wal-Mart which is close by. When the weather is nice, it is a very pleasant place to go outside with all the trees and flowers around and away from any busy traffic. It is very relaxing. I highly recommend Summit View.

Summit View gives my mom the opportunity to keep her independence with a caring & helpful staff to help when she needs it. It was hard for her to move from her home but she has a nice 1 bedroom apartment surrounded by her comforts from home. She gives 5 stars for the breakfast she gets as well as the staff.

My Dad LOVES it here! Everyone that works here is helpful, friendly and loves my dad! The room is a perfect size for him and he has all his needs met plus care, attention, & love from the staff! I have been at Summit View for 1 1/2 years and it has been a blessing for us every step of the way. The people inside this place we call home have such heart both staff and all our neighbors here. There is staff that has been here for 12 + years. They have helped assist some of the residents since they moved in here, and their experience is passed on to new staff. My husband just recently has had a very serious health issue. He was in the hospital for a few weeks. I was told by a long time staff that all of the residents and staff were very concerned and he was in their thoughts and prayers. We really like living here.It has felt like home since we first moved in.

My mother has called Summit View home for 4 1/2 years. The staff has always treated her like family. As a frequent visitor I have witnessed first hand the care and attention the staff offers the residents. My mother has always enjoyed gardening. When staff members became aware of her interest they encouraged her to continue her hobby in the gardens there at Summit View. When the covid virus forced them to quarantine the staff really stepped up. They have planned activities that have helped combat the loneliness that comes from being separated from loved ones. Each resident has a "clubhouse" where they can gather with their friends to visit or take part in planned activities. Each week has a theme with meals and activities that enhance the theme. Residents have recieved extra attention as the staff have taken on some of the tasks that, in normal times, family members would do. Mother's medical appointments have been by telemed. This would not have been possible without the assistance of the caring staff at Summit View. I am so grateful for all the extra care she has received during a difficult time. It has given me peace if mind to know that she is being well cared for during this time that I can't be with her.

Summit View Senior Community has truly been a blessing to our family. Kendra Coulter and her caring staff helped us transition our parents into an independent living apartment that was just perfect for meeting our family members' needs. The staff's compassion and love for the residents is evident in all the day to day operations. While the pandemic has brought tremendous challenges to healthcare facilities, the leadership at Summit View has worked tirelessly on behalf of residents to keep the facility virus-free. The delicate balance of keeping residents socially distant and yet continuing the programming specifically designed to stimulate social interaction among residents has been a challenge, but the staff is committed to their residents' physical, mental, spiritual and emotional well being while keeping safety as the top priority. We are so thankful to have found Summit View and we are confident that they will continue to assist us in meeting the needs of our loved ones with continued excellence in the future.

The entire staff is genuinely thoughtful, caring and committed to excellent care for those in residence. I have visited on numerous occasions. It is impressive how competent and caring each staff member is. My uncle and the rest of the family are truly blessed to have such a facility for his home. My praise goes to Kendra Coulter but includes Brittany and Tyler. Great ladies each one.

I would like to say I am with a client here whom is wonderful, not only that the staff is extremely hard working and try so hard to make the clients happy with activities that are creative and help them in so many ways mentally physically emotionally and spiritually. I have been visiting a resident at Summit View on a regular basis for several years now. I have always been impressed with the cleanliness and decor of the facility, the friendly staff who truly care about the residents and the number and variety of activities that are offered. Summit View has a philosophy of giving their residents every opportunity to remain independent and live up to their full potential. If assisted living becomes necessary they have very nice accommodations for that as well.

Summit View is a really good value in an assisted living/retirement center. The amenities are good. The place is kept very clean. There's a great view of the mountain from the location. The director is very knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and capable. I would highly recommend this facility for a budget conscious senior. My parent really enjoys being here.
