Life Care Center of Hickory Woods has always been on my list for long term care for my mom. She stayed with me and my family until we couldn’t give her the proper care and supervision she needed. The staff is great, especially the Admin manager. They patiently worked with me while getting the paperwork together. I am so very thankful for the wonderful staff which includes the technicians, housekeepers, and the kitchen staff! Thank you so much for treating my mother as if she was yours!

A group of Mah Jongg's ladies came to Life Care Center to visit a friend and they made arrangements for us to play in a secluded room. They made us feel very welcomed and our friend was ecstatic to have some outside entertainment. All in all it was a very pleasant outing.

While I’m here at the Life Care Center of Hickory Woods, I have been treated with kindness and respect and the staff that have worked with me during my recovery from hip replacement surgery has been very helpful and supportive towards my healing process. Upon my admission Marcia has been a blessing and Angel during this process. When I had an issue it was immediately addressed and resolved. I would recommend that if you are in need of a rehab facility I would recommend the Life Care Center of Hickory Woods in Antioch. Ask for Marcia and tell them that I recommend you. This facility cares about you and getting you back on your feet.

Everyone was great my father's tech Regina was amazing. She needs a crown on top of her head for putting up with my father...lol I dont remember the house keepers name see always had my dad's room tidy. Thanks Marcia for always helping my mother understand the things going on and helping her get things done. I can't remember the others names I think Sandy was her name my mom really liked her. Clean and welcoming until you need to coordinate patient care. They only use internal resources and refuse to coordinate with patient physicians or family around patient care. We felt excluded from caring for our mother’s health and the cardiac Nurse Practitioner was incredibly rude.

Facility is beautiful. What I don’t appreciate, is some of the staff. Nothing like a caregiver being rude. We have a family member there who called my grandmother (not her emergency contact) and just said come up here now. My grandmother is older than her and as I said , she isn’t her emergency contact. We waited 1 hour and she called back to check on our family member. The woman who answered said and you’re just now calling back after 1 hour?? Not that is ANY of your business on how long it took my grandmother to call and check on her. The employee said she’s fine now. Which is part of the reason we waited to call back. We know sometimes she calls when she’s upset because she wants to be back at home but she physically can’t be. Regardless, this woman had no right to respond with that question to my elderly grandmother. Luckily for the facility, my grandmother has a lot more patience than I do. I would’ve had the police called on me for coming up there and barking that woman down for being disrespectful. Go get a job a Walmart with that attitude, not an assisted living facility. Im not going to name any names for fear of retribution on our family member who is currently there. But, it’s also crazy I have to even worry about that. I am sure the woman who did this would know who she is by reading this. I hope if you live long enough to need to be in assisted living that someone has grace with you and your family, unlike what you showed our family. Rest assured if I have something like this happen again, I’ll physically come up there and speak with someone. Shame on you and your heart.

While my wife was there for rehabilitation, the staff went out of their way to make her feel at ease since this was the first time that we have been apart for an extended period of time. The nurses and techs that took care of her were great. The therapy department worked her pretty good and were very helpful in getting her stronger during rehab. This includes physical, occupational and speech and wound care. From the registration checkin to the discharge process, the folks made it very painless. The facility is top notch and very clean. The staff were always friendly and helpful. I got to admit I was jealous with the meals we selected for her each week. I highly recommend Life Care Center at Hickory Woods for those who need rehabilitation or long term care.

My 20 days here were fantastic. I was upset and not too happy about going to a SNF rehab facility because I am an RN and I have been Director of Nursing for several SNF rehabs and I know how bad they were when I first started as Director of Nursing, soooo, yeah I was quite concerned. Except for my first arriving here, they did not have any of my medication. I had not had pain medication since I requested it at the morning med pass, and by 7 pm I was in some major pain. I asked them if they had a backup Pharmacy that they could get the medication from and got a bewildered non answer. At 2 am Ariel, the night nurse was able to get, at least my pain medicine from the Pixus, the locked medication machine, and gave it to me. They were still working on getting my medicine in the morning until Dr. Sutton came to see me and he went and got involved and my medicine was there snd the nurse was checking it in. After that fiasco everything else was great. The nurse Nakeya, and the night nurse Ariel were especially great! They went above and beyond to help me while I was there and I really appreciated all they did for me. The therapist Felino was also great. He really helped me to get back to "normal". Thanks to all the employees! You all made my stay so much better than I thought it was going to be!!

Staff is awesome. It's the cleanest well decorated rehab Care Facility I've ever been in. I have worked in quite a few of them in the past, and this is the place I choose for my family members. They sit down with family members and go over each and every step of care. Exceptional Staffing. Well done.
