I have a true belief and understanding that people often share the bad, but very seldom share the good. Well Im here to express the good. I am a current employee and have been for over 7 years within the nursing department. Throughout my time at this agency I have seen some truly amazing experiences take place to better enhance the lives of the people that we support. I know first hand that we have passionate nurses, direct care staff, members of environmental services, dietary, and administrative staff that take pride in caring for the people of MurCi Homes. I would be dishonest to say we are a perfect agency, but we strive for greatness and when an issue is identified the administrative team is working diligently to create change for the better. Most often people dont have the privilege to see behind the scenes and all that is needed to make this place work. I personally have had this joy since Ive been in a leadership position for several years. I have sat in meetings trying to identify fun events whether it be a Fall Festival, Day at the movies, or a trip to the beach. All of this is done to promote a fun, loving, and family atmosphere. This fun enhances the work environment for the staff and provides excitement for the individuals that we support. I highly encourage anyone that has a desire to provide great care to some extremely deserving individuals while also working alongside staff that are more like family to check out MurCi Homes, and see how the love of our people can enrich your life for the better. Mur-Ci Homes is a wonderful agency that truly cares for the people that they support. The employees and the leadership at Mur-Ci Homes strive to ensure ongoing systems and support to every person. I have worked at Mur-Ci Homes for 3 years and I have enjoyed my time at Mur-Ci Homes. The agency is set on a beautiful campus, we provide 24-7 nursing and medical care as well. The children and adults are always well taken care of, and are taught to be as independent as possible while enjoying their community.

I am a current employee of MCH and I have enjoyed working here for the last 24 years. That is a long time to work for the same company, but it has been easy to work here because I love it. The people we serve have taught me so much about life, how to love, care for others, understanding non-verbal communication to meet their needs and the patients they have taught me has really helped me in my personal development. I started at MCH 24 years ago as a Direct Care staff on 2nd shift. The person supported that I provided care to became my family. I loved them and they surely loved me back. The staff and supervisors were all one big family and we did whatever was necessary to ensure the people we took care of got the best care possible. As a direct care staff I met some amazing family members of the person supported. After working as a Direct Care staff for several years, I had the opportunity to become a House Manager. When I got that promotion I was super excited to be able to serve our people at a greater level. As a House Manager, MCH taught me so much about management, having a different level of people skills, greater responsibilities of providing care to the people we served and holding people accountable to provide the best care possible. I realized early on that it was very hard for families to place their loved one at a place like MCH. So I always wanted to make sure that I was able to ease their minds by being the best me and providing the best care possible. One of the biggest task was making sure the staff felt the same, to help the families make the best decision and to know their loved one was getting the best care. My journey continued, because as a House Manager I was blessed to be able to go back to school and obtain my degree in Social Work. When I finished school MCH granted me another opportunity to serve our person supported at another higher level as a QIDP (Case Manager). I was so appreciative that MCH believed in me and so did the families of the people I supported. After serving as a QIDP for 15 years here at MCH, I was afforded another opportunity to serve at another higher level as a Residential Coordinator supervising the QIDP and Program Managers. In this position I was able to touch the lives of all our person supported and not just the ones on my case load. Serving is a true gift and when you are sincere about serving others you have a greater responsibility to ensure that ALL their needs are met with higher standards than ever before. Meeting the families and serving the entire campus was such a great joy. Knowing that all person supported was receiving the best care has always been my goal. To ease a family members mind to know that their loved one is receiving the best care possible is also Mur-Ci Homes goal. After serving as the Residential Coordinator for almost 2 years, I was blessed to go a little higher. January 2018 I started as Director of Active Treatment. Striving to meet every need of every person severed is MCH goal. We pride ourselves in setting goals and reaching them. We know it is hard work but our motto is Team work makes the Dream work. So we work hard to ensure that we are providing the best care that we can possible provide. This comes with challenges at times and trying to hire the staff with the same heart and goal in mind and that is to make our people happy, live the best life they can possible live and receive the best care they could possible receive. I moved my sister to Mur-Ci Homes seven or so years ago and have been glad from day one. Her cottage has a home-like feel and the staff is caring and helpful. She goes on more outings than I do and loves living at Mur-ci Homes. Their chef and his staff go out of their way to make their food tasty. Also, I was asked to join the board three years ago and Ive been pleased to see how management runs the facility. They do a great job and constantly strive to make it even better. I would highly recommend any family to check out Mur-Ci Homes for their loved one.

Gil Martin you are wrong sir, This place does an excellent job working with their residents. Yesterday they walked my grandson through his high school graduation and have been nothing but kind and supportive. Not long ago they brought my grandson to the funeral of his mother and took care of him in every possible way. Mr. Gil Martin, it's easy to criticize people and say negative things. I challenge you to accept my invitation for us to both serve these residents for 8 hours a day for 30 days. I didn't think so.

A friend of mine just got married, and her son lives at Mur-Ci Homes. The employees brought her son, over an hour away, so my friends son could be at the wedding!!! They were the nicest people and really treated everyone like they had known us all for years!!! I would recommend for anyone!!

During the four years my brother lived at Mur-Ci Homes until his death in 11-14, I experienced nothing but love and professionalism for my brother from all the employees. They were professional and caring in every way toward my brother and me. He was very blessed to live there and he knew he was loved and cared for and was as happy as could be. They made sure he felt right at home as soon as he transferred there after many years at Clover Bottom due to it's impending closure. My interaction with the staff was always pleasant, from the director to the nurse, social worker, techs, and anyone else I encountered. They took my brother and other residents on so many outings and encouraged my participation in his life, even going so far as arranging to bring him across town, closer to where I live, so we could meet up nearer to my home on several occasions. They made sure I was able to attend and participate in his yearly planning meetings and frequently sent me letters and emails updating me on all his care. I knew right from the start that I made the right decision to place Don in Mur-Ci Homes and never questioned that decision for a second. The staff always had my utmost respect for consistently doing a great job in a place that has to be difficult to work at at times. Don had many difficult physical problems, which were always handled very efficiently. I felt safe in knowing that the staff was always on top of things and quickly let me know of any problems he might be having. Kudos to the staff for taking great care of Don's physical and emotional needs with great professionalism, love, and compassion! (BTW, many of the staff came and brought several residents from my brother's cottage across town to attend his funeral. Now what does that say?)

The caregivers go above and beyond for their clients. Whenever a client goes to the hospital a caregiver stays with them 24/7. The clients live a life full of love and respect in this environment. Our family is so thankful for Mir-co Homes.

My son has lived at MH for several years. He is very active and can be a hand full. Staff are patient, caring and keep me informed. There is 24/7 nursing staff monitoring blood pressures, dietary needs, appointments, etc... The campus is clean and maintained, also safe. I recommend families visit MH if looking for home placement for a loved one. They will help you develop a life plan specific for their potential and needs.

First I fell in love with the people we support, I've had some go to my children's birthday parties and to other events we attended as a family. Secondly, I worked with some of the best nurses around. The nurses worked with me while I went to school. I finished school and decided to stay and take a promotion. I've worked at several nursing facilities and this is one of the cleanest agencies that I have ever worked. My advice to anyone is to come out and try/see it for yourself. I think you would be pleasantly surprised.

Mur-Ci Homes is very unique in comparison to other companies that provide similar services. The persons of Mur-Ci Homes are able to reside together on a beautiful campus instead of across the county in separated homes. With 24 hour service provided by the employees, the residents are able to enjoy and experience a healthy and fun lifestyle. The interactions that I have personally witnessed between staff and residents is more like family than anything. I would highly recommend anyone looking for long term care service for individuals needing this specialized service, to schedule a visit to see just how wonderful this place is.

My Son has been a resident of MurCi Homes for over 20 years, and I could think of no better place to have him. The Supervisors and Staff are very caring and informative. He also gets quality medical care. MurCi Homes is his family and he is theirs .

I am a parent of a resident of Mur-ci Homes. My son has been there for many years and I am very happy with his care. Yes, unfortunately, there have been the rare few caregivers who were not the best but they also did not work there very long. My son is happy and very well taken care of. I am an involved parent and check on my son frequently sometimes announced and other times I just show up. I am always made to feel welcome. I am thankful daily for all the staff at Mur-ci Homes.
