After bringing my mom to Sumter Terrace from NC, I can truly say, it was no mistake. It's been one month, and my mom is flourishing. The staff is amazing, and I give God all the Glory for ordering my footsteps. I didn't realize how stressed I was until I realized I wasn't driving three hours one way. I can truly say that Sunter Terrace is the place for moms.

Over the past two weeks, my brother and I have been researching and touring assisted living facilities in Sumter for my dad. I just want to share what a positive experience we had at Brookdale. Twice, they patiently showed us all around answering our many questions while always interacting pleasantly with the residents. On our second visit, Jackie and Allison arranged for us to have lunch and even invited a resident to join us. The food was delicious, the facility was immaculate, and the staff was so kind. Allison even called and asked about my dad’s hobbies, so she could make his visit even more special. Thank you, Jackie and Allison, for your personal touch, care, and compassion. I know your residents are in great hands.

Brookdale is beautiful and located in a very nice area not far from restaurants, shopping and physician’s offices. Brookdale offers a variety of floor plans to choose from and the facility is beautifully decorated. The Admissions Coordinator was so knowledgeable and welcoming when I toured the facility. I can’t say enough good things about her.

I’ve recently visited my aunt at brookdale. It was very clean and the staff was exceptionally friendly. The office manager Deb asked how I was as soon as she came out of her office and was so friendly in helping me find my way. I’d recommend anyone to check this out when making living arrangements.

So far I am happy with the care. My dad is enjoying the meals and he just started participating in activities. The staff have been making him comfortable and welcomed. From what I've seen for the first time visiting, he looks good and it's a great place. I also think they should itemize the personal care with the billing statement.

My review may not count as I am an employee of Brookdale but I do want to say that my staff and I work diligently to bring the best possible care to our residents we love them they become family to us and our number one goal is to meet all their needs with the highest quality possible. To help them have the best possible life they can have with whatever time God has for left for them.

I would recommend Brookdale Sumter to family and friends. The staff is attentive and nice. The meal portions that my loved one has are good and healthy. There are some music activities that my loved one likes. Many more activities are also offered on site. My loved one is doing great and they are most importantly safe.

We love it for mom, she transitioned better than she ever imagined and loves it along with her new found friends/family. Honestly, she would love her own home but has resolved that Brookdale formerly Sterling House is top notch and her neighbors are new family that help care for one another that we each have grown to love. It has truly been a blessing, a family, and the best fit for mom. The facility is immaculate, feels like home, and the bond with residents and staff is heartwarming with a commitment to its residence welfare. When seeking for a place just entering the front door brought great peace, calm and overwhelming comfort that this was right for this season in moms life. God is so good and mom has thrived from day one. Thank you to each of staff, residents, and management team for their compassion, devotion, and professionalism.
