The facility is lovely and the staff like Tiffany, are wonderful as are all the many and varied activities the resident have access to. BUT food service and dining room is a huge problem! They really need to invest in good help for the dining room. It is bad sevice, slow and constantly getting worse. Residents wait and wait for service. They are sitting for breakfast at 730 and no one waits on them for at least 20 min. Residents that are capable serve coffee and tea to others. Slow service! Cold food. Lazy wait staff and kitchen help. Kitchen is not cleaned up properly when service is done and the next meal is delayed cause no prep has been done. It is sad to see residents waiting and waiting and then get lack luster service and cold food. For this reason alone i would not recommend this facility. Food is such an important part of these seniorsnday to day and when you are relying on being fed 3 times a day... it becomes the top priority!! Just found out there has been no internet for residents for many weeks. AND they just raised their fees for residents significantly. Hundreds more per month. I hope that means they will pay staff more and get some good servers in the dining room because they are paying more than 13 per hr Or did the owners just get a bigger paycheck????!

However, the staff here is truly impressive! Their compassion and genuine interaction with the residents really stood out. I loved meeting the residents—there's a real sense of community, and everyone seemed to be having fun! Honestly, I wouldn't mind moving in myself!"

Have met with staff on more than one occasion as we prepare for my mother's future needs. Each time, Teresa Hamlett has been more than helpful. She is clearly a compassionate advocate for prospective residents and their families.

She has gone above and beyond to help us in every way to facilitate the transition to The Claiborne for our family member. The community itself is beautiful, well appointed in every way, with welcoming friendly staff and residents and everything about it makes you feel safe and happy for your loved one. If you've toured other places, wanted to run and hide, let alone know you'd never want to leave anyone in such a place, please tour The Claiborne- It will restore your faith that there are truly special places where your family member can be happy and well cared for.

The Tempest unit took amazing care of my father for the last 18 months. The Tempest staff, administration and entire Clairborne campus made this journey so much easier for the family. We dad was safe and receiving excellent care enjoying his desserts after each meal. The rehab unit went above and beyond in care for my father. The Claiborne became his second family. Wren the new Tempest Director is doing an incredible job and dad loved the new activities. Highly recommend the Clairborne for any level of care. Jemie Meachum along with my mom Annette.

Wren Metts is hitting it out of the park in Tempus Care. Yesterday my husband said "that was really fun, what's her name " I told him Wren. He said it 3 times like he was trying to remember her name. She is incredible.

This is a beautiful facility. Because there is no rooms available I was not allowed to see any but some of the common rooms are very nice. I was able to put my mother's name on the waiting list and I hope it won't be too long. I think this would be a perfect fit for her. Thank you for your time.

We have been here for a year, and find our experience to be pleasant and comfortable. Front Office Staff and their assistants are helpful and available. Residents are friendly, and there are opportunities to be helpful. There are various means of entertainment for the residents of which many of us take advantage. Wren and Tiffany are especially willing to "go above and beyond" to help.

The Claiborne is hands-down an assisted living facility that has your relative's best interest at heart. They offer the best of everything here - including great food, an abundance of activities, medical support andd a staff that is amazing. Within a week or so, they knew my mother-in-law and her family's names and were always greeted with a hello. Plus, it as clean as anyone could possibly want for a loved's living space. In particular, Theresa was absolutely remarkable - there wasn't anything you could ask her that she didn't know. She always has a warm inviting smile. My husband and I couldn't imagine his Mother being anywhere other than The Clairborne. Kudos all around!!!!

The staff are wonderful, Wren has helped us & gone out of her way since day 1, a year ago. Derek in PT has also been amazing with my loved one. The facility is beautiful, lots of activities. Whenever I have had a concern, its adressed immediately. The prices are reasonable!

After 6 months of looking at several assisted living facilities, The Claiborne is Home. My Father & I are treated like family and the staff , living quarters, activities, dining facilities are all First Class. The dedication the Claiborne Staff has towards the residents is amazing and in no better words than Love. I couldn't imagine my father being anywhere else

I love living at the Claiborne. Just read the review about no hot meals, that is just wrong. At the very beginning, before dining services were able to begin, we did have some issues, that has been resolved. I enjoy many of the activities and have made many new friends. The staff listens and addresses problems as best they are able to do so. Yes there was a rent increase but it certainly wasn't 800 dollars a month.

My mother moved into assisted living at The Claiborne in December of 2022. After visiting several area facilities, we chose The Claiborne based on the available healthcare options (PT, OT, speech therapy, in house medical staff), amenities, staff, activities, and the feeling tone we had from our very first visit. We have been extremely pleased with our mother's care. The staff is very attentive to our mother and her needs, they keep us updated on any supplies that she requires, and are so good about reminding her and encouraging her to participate in various activities, which is important to our family. SC Housecalls, their in house healthcare provider, sends regular emails with summaries of visits, treatments and diagnoses. We also use their pharmacy provider, which makes things so convenient. Our mom is happy at The Claiborne. She feels safe, and she feels well cared for. My sister and I are very 'present' and make regular visits to see our mom, which gives us the opportunity to see The Claiborne at different times and under varying circumstances. We know the staff, and they know us. The past 13 months have gone extremely well, and we look forward to the continued level of care that our mother has received.

As the Community Outreach Director for a local hospice, I have been marketing to The Claiborne before they actually opened a little over a year ago. Their management staff are all very experienced in the aspects of facility administration. Daily happy hours, physical fitness, events like birthdays, ice cream socials, etc. are all available, a beautiful pool with aquatic aerobics, an exercise room, and 'field trips' are all options for an active lifestyle, and social interaction. This is a lovely, well managed, relatively new facility in the heart of Summerville, SC. I would recommend The Claiborne wholeheartedly to those seeking an assisted living facility in this area.

We LOVE the Claiborne! The facilities are superb, the staff kind and helpful. They go above and beyond. Mom has loved living there. We couldn't say enough good things about it. And besides it being such a fabulous place it still has the warm feeling of home and community. Hats off to the Claiborne!

It's like a 5 star resort! The place is Beautiful, the staff are Beautiful and the residents seem genuinely happy. We moved my in-laws here about 6 weeks ago from the Chicagoland area. Teresa helped us make the transition as seamless as possible , I don't know what we would have done without her patience and understanding throughout the process. I am glad to say my in-laws are very Happy and they are both flourishing at this Facility. There are plenty of daily activities that encourage socialization for those who choose to participate. We visit frequently and every time we're there we are treated like family by the staff and the residents alike. I highly recommend you make this your new home!
