When looking for a place for our mom she decided she wanted to go to her home town of Spartanburg. We are so glad she did because we found Eden Terrace. This has been a God send for her and our family. The facility is beautiful and the staff is AMAZING!! My mom is 91 and while she may not remember things she is having a blast and has made great friends. If you are in need of assisted living for a loved one PLEASE check out Eden Terrace.

We needed a safe place for mother and found her Eden Terrace of Spartanburg. We toured the facility and saw how well furnished the building is and how many activities she would be able to do. She absolutely loves her apartment and we can’t say enough about the staff, they are always at the ready to help her in any way they can. Mother loves the food and the fellowship in the dining room. Being in the health profession, I always strive to treat my patients and their families in the way that I would want mine to be treated. This is what I have found with the Eden Terrace staff. I brought my mom to Eden Terrace after being at another ALF for 4 years, after she suffered a stroke that changed all our lives. Mom was a 87 year old vibrant woman who taught me a strong work ethic. This was a difficult transition for her going from totally independent to depending on others for assistance with her ADL's. It was also life altering for myself and our family, as our lives were majorly changed as well. From the moment I contacted Cindy and explained my story and our difficulties while at Lakewood ALF, she listened attentively, showered me with compassion, and offered to pray with me on the phone at the end of our conversation. That meant the world to me and I knew this would be somewhere that I definitely wanted to explore more for my mom, who I love dearly. My daughter and I took mom for a visit, she left saying the people were "all nice." It was a difficult transition as I was concerned about moving mom from a place that had been like her home for the last 4 years. I prayed for the Lords will in this situation, I cried, and I struggled. I lost sleep, lost some weight, which was okay, and found it difficult to work as a RN Case Manager because my thoughts were scattered. I found myself crying in the shower, wearing sunglasses to hide the tears from my family, and attempted to find other ways to hide my struggles. I searched scripture, and at first felt the Lord giving no answer, but as the situation continued to unfold, it was clear that he wanted me to move mom and in that still quiet voice told me peace would come. The day before moving to Eden Terrace, I messaged Cindy and explained how my mom had been neglected for the last 12 hours from the prior ALF. I ask if there was any way we could get her moved to Eden Terrace because I couldn't leave her there any longer. She immediately responded with this is what we need to do to get your mom here today. That was what I needed to hear most at that time. The staff at Eden Terrace have embraced my mom and my family. Cindy and her staff have become a beacon and such a bright light in our paths. I could not imagine going this journey any longer without the relief that I have received for my mom's care and my struggles. Since being at Eden Terrace, I have felt most comfortable in my mom's care, I have been able to sleep better, and have a peace that passes all understanding. I am thankful for the Lord's presence in my life and the direction he has led me in. Since the move to Eden Terrace, my burden has become much lighter as I feel my mom is getting the care and attention she and every elderly person deserves. She is respected, she is handled with dignity, and she feels the love there. She often tells my brother when asked how it is in one word "better." I can now visit my mom and answer the phone without the fear or dread that I have felt most for the last year. I would not hesitate to recommend Eden Terrace to anyone looking for the benchmark in care for an Assisted Living Facility. I love and thank all the people there for what they have and are doing for us.

I wish I could put over 5 stars for this review. Eden Terrace, Cindy Hughes, and her amazing staff has been such a blessing from God. We recently moved due to neglect at my grandmother's previous assisted living in Boiling Springs. Cindy was always so willing to listen and discuss options. After everyone phone call and interaction she would always say, "Can I pray with you?" That gave us the peace we needed to know that we were making the right decision. Since my grandmother has been at Eden Terrace, every care giver, staff member, and even the maintenance team has been welcoming and so caring. Eden Terrace represents what the standard of medical care should be. I can not recommend highly enough a place that truly cares for their residents and their residents family. This place and all the workers deserve stars in their crowns in Heaven.

Choosing a senior living facility for my mother was one of the toughest decisions our family faced. After visiting several places, we knew Eden Terrace was the right choice. My mother has been in the Evergreen section for the past two years, and she truly considers it her home. The staff's care has been attentive and exceptional. They are not only professional but also genuinely kind and compassionate, always taking the time to greet us and make sure my mother's needs are met. My mom has been a resident of Eden Terrace since August of 2024 due to dementia and other health concerns. I can't say enough good things about the team at Eden. When I walk into the facility, I feel like I'm at home. My mom loves it and now considers it her home. Mom is treated with care and compassion by experienced team members. One thing that really impressed me is that the majority of the staff at Eden are long time employees of the facility. This speaks volumes about the level of care received by the patients, but also the care that Eden gives to their employees. It's like a big family. From the folks that greet you when you walk in, to the nurses, the director and every other team member at Eden, the story is the same...friendly ,highly competent staff that care for my mom and each other.

My aunt just moved into her apartment in Eden assisted living, her apartment looks great. She said the food was good and she already made a friend. Having worked at an assisted living facility in Columbia, SC, I know what to look for in a good, assisted living facility. The first thing I noticed was the more than ample staff on hand on the weekend which is what most places lack. That tells me the staff is not overloaded and has time to care for the residents. The maintenance of the building inside and out is fantastic. Whatever you do don't cut corners on your maintenance team they are what keeps the place running. The staff and residents I talked with seam happy. I feel good about where my aunt Dot is staying.

But the most significant aspect of their ability to care for their residents, is just that - their ability to care, which is outstanding. I could not begin to tell you about all the activities that are available to the clients at this facility, Eden Terrace. It is such a joy to visit and know that your loved one is being taken care of and that they are happy. My brother avails himself with all the activities available and really loves the times when he goes with them outside the home to activities around Spartanburg, SC. His rooms are really nice compared to ones that I have seen at other facilities but most of all he is happy and Eden Terrace provides him with enough things to keep him busy. I have installed a computer in his room along with TV and CD player and he can entertain himself when activities are not available. It is a great place. The staff is always ready to help, if needed.

My mother moved into Eden Terrace last year. During this year, we have seen such a transformation. Mom’s first comment about Eden Terrace was I feel safe. This was so important to us. She loves the large variety of activities and field trips and participates in almost all of them. She is healthier now, much more active, and especially loves the new friends she has made. Even Mom’s doctors are amazed at the transformation. The staff has been wonderful with helping Mom with the transition from Independent living to assisted living. I would recommend Eden Terrace to any family.

Eden Terrace has been a true blessing for our family. Leesa and the staff were tremendously helpful when we had to quickly move an out-of-town family member with dementia to Spartanburg. Not only did they answer questions about Eden Terrace and assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing facilities in general, they helped us better understand dementia and Alzheimer's disease. We felt a connection right away. Our family member is safe and well-cared for, and there are many daily activities and special events to enrich her experience. Everyone on staff is patient, warm and friendly. Eden Terrace is a perfect fit for our family member.

I would not begin think of another location for my mom. She came to Eden Terrace about four and a half years ago. Her first two years she lived in the retirement community of Eden Terrace. She loved it. Beautiful place with some much going on. As she got a little older, her needs grew enough to be noticed by the care takers and staff. They suggested a move to Evergreen, the memory care section of Eden Terrace. The move was more than a little concerning to the family, but it could not have been handled any better. She was “moving up” to Evergreen. It would be extremely difficult for my mom to receive at home, the care she gets in Evergreen. I come see my mom without notification and the staff has always got something going on to entertain the residents. Exercise, games singing and more. I know making the decision to move a parent is not an easy one, but where to move them in the Spartanburg area is not a hard one.

The time came in early 2018 when my mother-in-law needed to move to a senior living facility. My wife and I researched and vetted many options in pursuing the right place, and we made the right decision in Eden Terrace. We are extremely pleased with the consistent care and attention her mother gets. In our experience, the staff at Eden Terrace, without exception, is conscientious and more than competent and truly cares for their residents. We know she is in a safe and comfortable place and gets nutritious meals, and that offers much peace-of-mind for us. The facility is clean and comfortable and appealing, and the staff works hard. It is difficult to explain my feelings and observations for Eden Terrace. The word that comes to mind is AMAZING. I mean amazing in every way. Staff, facility, grounds, community involvement, dining and food service, care for each other and the list goes on. I have had 3 family members at Eden Terrace; all with different needs. Each of my loved ones received excellent care and Eden Terrace also cared for me as the caregiver. Currently, my brother is with Eden Terrace. Eden Terrace continues to be not only amazing but innovative as we work through his difficult illness. Their care and compassion to us continues to be ongoing. I love Eden Terrace and care deeply for each member of their staff. In my contact with the public I always suggest that they visit Eden Terrace when they ask about care for their loved ones!

We wanted to move my mother from Arizona to Spartanburg, to be near us. She asked us to start looking for her. We already knew of a wonderful place! Eden Terrace! My mother has loved being at Eden Terrace. She enjoys the activities, the other residents and all the smiling care givers! Her apartment is very comfortable. We go often to visit, where we are always greeted with a warm welcome. Cindy and her team have a wealth of knowledge in caring for seniors. I’ve often knocked on her door for advice. She has helped us so many times! Come and visit and you’ll feel that warmth right away!

My grandmother gets very good care at Eden Terrace. She's lived there for 3 years and the staff has been there for us every step of the way through hospital visits, changing medications, and changing mobility. If something is wrong, they contact me right away, and I can always get answers to my questions. I visit at least once/week and I'm always greeted by smiles and hellos as I walk the halls. Eden Terrace has been a blessing to our family.

During their time at ET, they experienced superior care, and we all became part of the most loving, compassionate, care-giving family on earth!! My mother has lived at Eden Terrace for almost three years. We visited several other facilities before deciding on Eden Terrace. From the minute we walked in the door, to the tour and lunch we knew this was the right fit. Two weeks ago we moved my father-in-law from Asheville to Eden Terrace. He is happy and now in a safe place. No facility is perfect but Eden Terrace is the tippy top to us.

Five years ago when I was looking for an assisted living facility for my mother I visited several facilities, Eden Terrace being the last. When I walked in the front door of Eden Terrace I said to myself “this is it “. The decor was so warm and inviting. Eden Terrace looks like an upscale hotel instead of an assisted living facility. The neighborhoods of apartments are so warm and homey. The staff is wonderful and you would be hard-pressed to find a director as compassionate and sincere as Cindy Hughes. Cindy considers the staff and residents as family. My mother has lived at Eden Terrace for five years now and she loves it! My mind is at ease knowing my mother is well taken care of. I would have given more than five stars if I could .

No second thoughts that we picked the best place for my Mom and Dad. This is it. Facility is quiet, pleasantly comfortable, cozy, clean, and well maintained. Atmosphere is laid back, yet tightly executed. Most of the staff have been there a long time, and some administrative staff chose Eden Terrace for their family members. Staff is collaborative and accommodating, addressing every issue that arises - no problem, they can make it work. Caregivers seem to enjoy their jobs, showing patient compassion and genuine interest in the well-being of the residents. Care is excellent. Sit out on a front porch rocker, feed the squirrels, and ask the residents how nice Eden Terrace is. They will tell you.

The facilities are first rate as well...contemporary in their design and immaculately maintained. Mom says she is happy and "at home" at Eden Terrace.
