Everyone I met was so professional. This Assisted Living is a caring and supportive environment. The move-in process was smooth. The room is spacious. Everyone including residents seemed happy to be there. The food smelled delicious. I think I have found the perfect home for my stepmother. Thanks to everyone for helping her make this transition!

My Mama is at The Legacy & couldn’t be happier! She acts more like herself than she has in years & loves being with people around her age. We don’t have to worry about if she is on the floor at home, has 3 meals a day, given her medication & in a safe facility. The staff is always doing activities with the residents, have church groups come in & sing, do crafts and so much more. So if you’re undecided, drop by for a tour & I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!!! It has been an answer to our prayers!

Ms. Tina McCollum and others went above and beyond to make things happen for a patient that was admitted this week. Also the place is kept clean as a whistle. I love it and feel good about leaving my family member there.

We found The Legacy to be a warm and welcoming environment.The staff is professional, friendly, attentive and always available for any questions you may have. I have a family member here and each and every time I have been here for a visit I have found it to be consistently excellent, always welcomed with a smile and Hello upon entering the facility. Living there, my family member also has the same to share, care by staff, food ,residents, environment perfect.

First of all, thank you for the opportunity to share my experience(s) with the concerning the Legacy. As a pastor I get to visit the Legacy at least once per month as I perform my pastoral duties with one of your residents who’s also one of our parishioners. Each of my visits have been extremely pleasant. The staff has never hesitated to go out of their way to render whatever assistance I may have needed during my visit. I’ve also received some of the warmest greetings from the residents that were sitting outside upon entering the facility. Thank you for the compassionate care you give to each resident.

I was hoping that since my mother, who used to be out there (when it was Morningside), had passed in 2019, that ya'll had changed the ambulance pickup from coming to the front of the building to a side door. Being in full view of all the other residents, not giving the person being picked up even the semblance of any kind of privacy, not taking into consideration that seeing so many ambulances coming & going...taking away some of their friends (for those residents who are having dementia problems) can be stressful, anxious, & even tramatic; & given that covid has been transferred to several patients now (even though they are relegated to their rooms), & staff have to attend to them, I was surprised to see that all staff did not have masks on, & residents didn't have masks on outside of the dining room. The pandemic is over; but, covid, the flu, & some really nasty viruses are still here and will not be going away.

As always, the staff is friendly, and the facility is clean and very welcoming. My mother in law is well taken care of. She is happy, and she always tells us that they are so good to her. It is a blessing to know she is in good hands. So thankful for the wonderful people at The Legacy. °

I visit with a dear friend with dementia. When I went today it was 2pm and her lunch was on her table wrapped in plastic wrap. I don’t think she is capable of uncovering it so I was disappointed that no one had helped or checked since being delivered around 12. I assisted her and she ate.

My uncle has been at The Legacy of Orangeburg for over 10 years now. And not one time has our family had one complaint or problem with the Legacy! The staff is beyond caring and always prompt in their communications with family members if only to keep us posted on how our family member is doing. I have friends who have relatives at very fancy facilities that do not receive anywhere the care or excellent treatment my uncle receives at The Legacy. I cannot begin to express my sincere gratitude to every member of the Legacy team but especially to Tina McCollum. If every facility was as caring and conscientious as The Legacy, family members like me could rest assured their loved one was in good hands around the clock. YOU ARE AMAZING and my uncle tells us all the time what great food and treatement he receives. He loves the staff I think as much as he loves our family. What a compliment to The Legacy and well deserved!!!!

My mother has really enjoys Legacy. We looked at many locations. Some communities were too small to have enough residents to interact with. Others were too large. The staff is great. There are daily activities that makes her feel very busy.

I am so impressed with The Legacy of Orangeburg. My friend moved this year to The Legacy of Orangeburg from an Independent Living Community. Within weeks his whole life changed for the better. The care provided by the staff at The Legacy of Orangeburg helped him to manage his medicines, support him with bathing and staying clean, improved his attitude and most importantly brought his SMILE back!!! I love to see him so happy and thriving in his new home.

From my first conversation with Tina about what Morningside could offer our mom we have been so impressed! Every employee has shown genuine care and professionalism that we have not seen elsewhere. The facility is attractive and well kept, meals are very enjoyable and personalized attention is given daily to mom’s needs and wants. I so appreciate the time and effort that Tina and Amanda put forth for me and my family to have a Zoom meeting with my 97 year old Mama on Mother's Day this year since there was no visiting allowed. Alhough she did not understand the process, it did our hearts good to just be able to see her. This time we are in has been very trying for all, especially our seniors, but I'm thankful Morningside is taking the steps necessary to keep them all safe and well - although Mama misses the visits she was getting. Thank you to all the staff for what you are doing for our Mama!!

Although no one wants to give up their independence and relocate to a care facility, I can truly say Morningside of Orangeburg is a gentle, easy transition which brings out the best in each of the residents.... The staff seems well equipped to lovingly handle the daily challenges with ease, grace,compassion and professional guidance. The decor throughout the inside and grounds is beautiful - very cheerful and inspiring My uncle has resided there for a few years. He loves the food and enjoys the company and conversations with others within. Morningside derserves the 5 stars! Tammy and Tina are a team who effectively champion each of the people in their care. I just wanted to quickly compliment the Morningside of Orangeburg staff and facility. I conduct business there approximately twice per week. I do not believe that there has been a dull moment every time I am there. They constantly keep the residents engaged in activities. You can see a genuine level of care and concern for the residents when they interact with staff. The staff is always friendly and helpful. If I was seeking a facility that would adequately care for my family members, or if asked for a recommendation from others in this area, this is the facility that I would select!!!
