Moved my mother-in-law to Hammond Square and she has more interaction with people then she had the last five years. The staff is extremely friendly to her and us and always an activity to do. Want to give kudos to the first face we saw and enjoy seeing when we visit, Lisa Brantley!!! She gone out of her way to welcome us and make sure my mother-in-law is happy!!! And kudos to Fred for checking on her and her meds that means a lot to her.

Lisa is truly an amazing asset to Hammond square. She is always friendly, compassionate, and helpful to the residents and their families. You can truly tell she found her calling working in assistant living. I would trust her and the staff at Hammond square with any of my family members. Hammond square just feels like home.

My friend Tony has been a resident here for several years now. Hammond Place is very clean and a beautiful facility. I met Gus the new activities director today and was very impressed, he really cares about people, is very patient with residents and includes everyone. I had as much fun watching the corn hole tournament as the residents did playing. All the staff here are very personable and caring. I enjoy my visits here every time. Keep Hammond Place Great!

My friend lived at Hammond Place for a year and we found the staff very helpful and diligent about her wellbeing. I would recommend Hammond Place for their excellent staff and the Executive Administration group for their understanding and support.

My father is actually a resident there. With covid 19, he lost direct access with his primary care physician and eye specialists. This led to both significant decline in his vision-health and resulted in a long hospitalization and inpatient rehabilitation stay. The staff at Hammond Place helped my father to transition from his prior apartment living to their assisted living in such a seamless way (despite all of the inherent obstacles set within the covid pandemic). The staff treat him with respect and always solicit his input. They accompany him to his outpatient doctor visits (and he has had a lot) and assist him with his medication management-ordering-administration. My father is very capable of expressing his views most decidedly and in his assessment he is very happy to be there.

This facility has some very caring and kind staff members. The people who live in the facility are very nice as well. My biggest complaint is the food. My aunt has lived here for two years and the food quality and variety have just deteriorated steadily. For dinner, they regularly serve a hot dog and a few ice cold french fries or chips. Dessert is a mini ice-cream sandwich. Pizza night is $5 Little Ceasars pizza, of which they receive a slice! Their excuse is that corporate sets the menu but they have to adapt if to Southern tastes-who are they kidding. Last night they had sub sandwiches - which consisted of a roll with one thin slice of deli ham, one piece of cheese, a half a tomato slice and wilted lettuce. This is where they are cutting costs and it is just awful. We have repeatedly requested better meals and better tasting meals but no change to date. I would definitely move my aunt to another facility because I have seen much better food elsewhere but she wants to stay with her friends so we are hoping for an improvement. I would definitely discuss this with them in detail before you move your loved one here.
