My dad has been at Broad Creek for about four months. He was reluctant to move to assisted living, but the staff at Broad Creek have gone far out of their way to help him adjust positively! When I visit my dad I see firsthand that he has the opportunity to participate in numerous organized activities, has daily social interactions with many people (e.g., nurses, administrative staff, housekeepers, residents, volunteers), eats healthy food, and lives in a clean, safe, enriched environment. Broad Creek Care Center (BCCC) has been a huge plus for my dad! He’s lived independently at TidePointe in an apartment and a cottage for the past 8 years. He seamlessly transitioned to assisted living to gain the additional support he needed at 94 years old including medication management, transportation, housekeeping, meals and activities. Besides the idyllic setting pictured here on the marsh complete with walking trails, he’s benefitted from the onsite PT, OT and speech services with the best caring professionals! I totally recommend BCCC for their services, support and wonderful people who care!

He was a resident at Broad Creek for 8 months during which he received what I would consider the best care possible. Not only were his needs supplied by a compassionate, professional staff, I received invaluable advice, direction and assistance. Our father moved from independent living at Tide Pointe to Assisted Living and then to skilled nursing at Broad Creek within the last 2 years. It was quite an adjustment for all. The staff at Broad Creek have been receptive to our requests in his care-from the front desk to nursing, therapy, nutrition and housekeeping. His nursing care has been excellent and all therapy departments have worked with him at during the last 2 years. He began palliative care about 6 months ago. As his condition declined, the nursing staff recommended transitioning to hospice care. The BCCC staff continued to provide thoughtful care until he passed away. So many staff expressed their condolences. They were like extended family and we are comforted that our father received compassionate care in this facility during the final years of his life.

My husband was taken to Broad Creek for rehab after pneumonia and the flu left him totally weak. The staff was very kind to him and the food was good. The downside was a total lack of communication to me. It was 8 days before anyone contacted me or discussed how he was doing and plans for rehab. Requests to have rehab or social services contact me went unheeded. They claimed he had physical, speech and occupational therapy daily, but I never saw anyone work with him other then the speech therapist. On Fridays everyone was gone and no therapy on weekends. I figured he had maybe 8 days of therapy out of 14 days. After we were told he was ready to go home, I heard nothing from them for days. After 4 days I asked that he be released and was told he had to stay until the insurance company told them they would no longer pay! So they kept him over the weekend, with no therapy given (But they got paid for 2 more days). When he was released, I was given a prescription slip that said Outpatient pt/st. They did not set it up or give any kind of report to the outpatient facility on his condition or needs so they knew what he needed and what had been done with him. I have dealt with other care facilities and was not at all impressed with Broad Creek other than the kindness of staff and their cuisine

My mom has been at Broad Creek now for 4 months. After scouting out numerous places, my family and mother couldn't be more impressed with this facility. First, a must mention, Jessica and Samantha (admissions/case care) are absolutely wonderful, caring people. They are always around, interacting with the patients and patients family. It's obvious that they truly care about their jobs and your family. The nursing staff and therapists are motivating, caring and very interactive with the patients. Emily and Sara have been so accommodating to my mom; there are so many people to mention, the list goes on and on. We knew there were a lot of choices, but I can share that the socialization that is encouraged here is second to none. Tom, who coordinates activities and events is a rock star. My mom never joined in any activities, with Tom, she is at every event from trivia, to bingo, family feud, you name it. I care for my mom, and 100% I would send her here again, or feel 100% happy if she made it home, because I know they truly do care for her wellbeing. Oh wait, Did I mention the food is good too! I am not a person that is easily impressed, this place impresses me. No issues=happy family.

We experienced the warm and professional services of Broad Creek Care Center recently when our Dad, a Tide Pointe resident, required rehab and skilled nursing. Each and every staff member in every department was kind, friendly, responsive and very helpful. We want to extend sincere and special thanks to RNs Sarah, Emily and Nena, CNAs Gwen, Dequota, Tina and Lavanya who were all so caring, competent and encouraging to our dad and to us family members attending him. The therapists in Dad's case also deserve recognition and thanks too for restoring his confidence and stamina. They were so patient with Dad whenever his willingness flagged. Special mention goes to Devon, Jordan, Holly and James. On the administrative level, both Jessica Bigos and Samantha Perkowski, LMSW were able to gracefully and professionally handle our many questions on so many topics as we struggled to cope and manage Dad's medical crisis. Their assistance was and continues to be invaluable. We were very satisfied and recommend the facility even as we hope Dad does not ever need a second stay. But such is life.we know where to turn. Our sincere thanks to all of you!

My husband was a resident at BCCC for almost 2 years, and each and every one of those days the staff showed such compassion, professionalism, and genuine love for him. He was so happy at BCCC, and he considered it "home". I, too, thought of everyone at BC as family, and it was always a pleasure to arrive and be greeted warmly by the receptionists and any staff member who I might encounter in the lobby or halls. My husband was in both skilled nursing and assisted living, and the attention to his needs was always superb. And, anytime a nurse needed to call me, including the morning he died, they were professional and full of empathy. Having medication managed daily, nutritious meals and multiple weekly activities for socialization has allowed her to improve greatly from living independently. As her daughter, I can rest assured that she's safe and in the best environment for her well being. We also had positive experience with the skilled nursing unit at Broad Creek last fall as mom broke a hip and she stayed there to recover and rehab. They were excellent.
