The Residence at Greer did an incredible job caring for my father. After a fall in his home forced him to seek care in an assisted living facility, we found the Residence at Greer. The value was outstanding and the staff including Evita, Kyle, and Marie consistently went above and beyond to care for my father. Moving my father into the facility was unplanned and last minute and t entire R@G team worked tirelessly to make everything work out on time, even with me being out of state. I trust the team at R@G and you should too.

UPDATE BELOW-When we toured the facility this Spring, we were told that transportation to and from doctor’s appointments was available on Tuesdays and Thursdays, provided that the location was nearby. That was a huge selling point considering my mother-in-law has dialysis 3 times a week, and the kidney center is literally 3 minutes from The Residences. My husband was told by Kyle, today, that this is not the case. He stated the activities director, which is leaving her position soon, is over the transportation. He also added that they could not guarantee rides for set appointments. Is that not what an appointment is? Dialysis is not like setting up cable service. You can’t just show up between 10AM-4PM. Not to mention, The Residences website even lists transportation for scheduled doctor’s appointments. Apparently, that is false. And, what sense does it make to have the activities director in charge of activities AND getting residents to and from doctor’s visits? That is asinine. There should be one person for activities and one person who handles transportation, and that person should have a back up driver for call outs. Don’t get me started on the food. Somehow, in a matter of just a few weeks, the quality of meals has gone way downhill to hear my in-laws describe it. The Residences at Greer is a nice facility. It’s not cheap, so I would like to know what is going on! **UPDATE: NOTHING HAS CHANGED! Shortly after I posted my review, Kyle contacted my husband and told him there was a driver hired for appointments and excursions. To this date, no driver. My mother-in-law is being taken to her dialysis on Tuesdays and Thursdays by Marie. Which is kind of Marie to do and we are grateful, however we were told a driver was hired. Though Marie is helpful to my mother-in-law, what about the other residents who have appointments or the weekly trips shopping or to restaurants that the facility used to have scheduled for them?? A nutritionist was supposedly hired. However, the quality of the meals has not changed, some residents are not given their meals when others are served and the serving employees have to be reminded, residents reprimanded by serving staff in front of others, the menus hardly ever reflect the actual meals for that day, etc. There is still no Activities Director and there isn’t anyone to work in the salon for haircuts and nail polishing?? Surely, we cannot be the only family members with concerns??

This is such a beautiful home for your loved one! Kyle and his team keep the place clean. There is always some activities going on and live music playing in one of their areas. There is always laughter echoing through the building- signs of a good time! You can tell that the residents are taken care of and loved as if they were all family. My favorite part is when I am being greeted with big smiles by the residents rocking out front, enjoying the weather!

The Residences of Greer is a wonderful Assisted Living and Memory Care community. Our mother has been living there for about 1year and 6 months and we have no complaints.They take good care of her. They have a nice dining room and the food is good, tv's through out the facility, a nurse practitioner who comes once a week. The facility is clean, well kept and modern. The Residences is about 1/4 mile (almost right across the street) from the Greer Prisma Hospital. Everyone is friendly, med techs, care givers and any others who work there. Kyle is the director who is extremely nice and friendly. You will always see Kyle pitching in to help if needed. Marie is at the front desk greeting people and answering phones, when she is not out doing many other tasks. You will always see her smiling face as she also helps the residents with questions they have or any help they might need. Evita, the nurse is super, so sweet and easy to talk to about any concerns we have. She also pitches in to help make sure things run smoothly. We would recommend you visit this community before making your decision on the best place for your loved ones.

Just want to give a big Thank you to the loyal, hardworking staff who try to keep the Residences @ Greer a friendly, comfortable place for our aging seniors. The challenges are many as I have personally witnessed . Mom has been a resident for the past 3 years & if you think this job is easy, spend a day. The monthly activities calendar encourages the residents to socialize & stay active. The Activities Director works hard to plan bus rides, as well as games like Bingo, Corn Hole, etc. There are devotions, arts& crafts, taste testing, hand& foot therapy, mail spa& hair day given personally by the Activities Director. Various music groups are scheduled to perform like the Rocky Ford Band & lunchtime music with Don as well as local church & school groups. The manager is also readily available to speak with unless he’s dealing with unexpected issues. As for the front desk secretary, she goes above & beyond to help both the residents & their families.As I see it, I feel very grateful & fortunate that the Residences @ Greer have people who are dedicated to meeting the needs of our loved ones.

I am co owner of polite pups dog training, we train dogs at this facility.Charmion is the activity director we work hand and hand with her on resident activity. She is so welcoming to us we have trained at this facility for years, they are always welcoming and help any way. It is a beautiful facility and staff is wonderful.Our clients and dogs find this place calming and relaxing.I appreciate all Charmion does for us we are thankful and blessed to be there

We were in need of a memory care facility to help care for my Grandma last fall. Senior Care Authority (Linda Cale) was wonderful and guided us on tours of several facilities near Greer. When she initially recommended touring The Residences at Greer, we were hesitant due to its reputation from prior administrations. She encouraged us to give them a chance as there was a new administration in place and they had a plan and were striving to improve. We did end up choosing the Residences after touring all the facilities as we felt this was the right choice. To be honest, things were up and down for the first few months. Due to extenuating circumstances, Kyle (Regional Director for the Residences) took over the Facility at the end of 2023, to make the changes that needed to be made in order to meet the bar and then exceed it. He listened to our concerns (and everyone else’s) and promptly went to work. There were some staff that were not the right fit for the facility and they moved on to other opportunities. He has been working hard to employ reliable, trustworthy, competent and compassionate caregivers. He does not tolerate any nonsense and expects greatness from his staff. There has been a good bit of turnover, changes and growth during this process but we could not have anything greater to say about Kyle; he has worked tirelessly to meet his goals. Along the way, he brought in a wonderful nurse practitioner, Evita, to continue on the path of achieving excellence. We could not be more thankful for the 2 of them and all they have done for us and for Ms Marie, who has been our constant pillar through the whole process. She was always more than willing to do anything that we asked of her and is a reliable and compassionate asset to the Residences. We also had several great caregivers back in Memory Care that we truly appreciate, and I would be remiss to try to name everyone and perhaps forget someone. However, Grandma took a special liking to Kina, and Kina was excellent with Grandma! Unfortunately, Grandma’s dementia progressed and she passed recently. MiKayla was exceptional in her compassion and reverence in caring for Grandma, especially her last night here with us. While it wasn’t all roses all the time, you cannot expect it to be perfect anywhere. All you can ask is that they have a caring staff and they constantly try to improve and be better each day, which is what this administration is trying to do. Kyle and Evita (& Marie) have brought the facility a long way and I have no doubt they will continue to keep their foot on the gas until they meet all of their goals. While we did not know it at the time, THEY are the reason we were where we needed to be when chose the residences, and we couldn't be more thankful.

Charmion plans fun and engaging activities for the residents. Everything from devotions, church services, live music, arts and crafts and games. My mom’s favorite activity is the Friday Field trips where residents get to experience lunch out at various local restaurants. She also transports residents to doctors’ appointments in a safe and timely manner. She has been a great help to my mom and me!

I visited as a volunteer throughout my Christmas break. This was my first time volunteering anywhere and it was an absolute joy! It’s a beautiful place. I really enjoyed meeting everyone, including the residents, Mrs. Charmion (the activity director) and employees. They were a huge part as to why I loved it here. I could tell how much love & care went into planning the activities. The bus trips felt like we were on the magic school bus going on an adventure 🙂 The activities were great and included enjoyable seated exercises, personal care: foot therapy, nails done, etc., devotions (included wise words for one’s heart and mind), different kinds of games (which everyone could participate in one or the other). This volunteering experience was a wonderful opportunity to step out of my own world/daily life to learn, give love and offer help to others. It was an absolute joy to spend time and get to know them. At the end of the day, this place felt like home to me. This is a place that brings happiness by being there and enjoying time with the people I have met and grown to love.

My mom has been at The Residences of Greer about 18 months. She had made some very sweet friends there. The staff is very caring. There is always someone to talk to & something to do. The activities director does a great job scheduling outside entertainment to come in, exercise, devotions & church services, games, personal care activities, regular Friday bus trips for shopping, lunch, the park, or just a ride. Mom has help with showering/dressing, keeping the room clean & trash emptied, clothes washed, folded, & put away. Her meds are ordered & dispensed at the appropriate times. I’m happy that we were able to find a place that is close & convenient for me as well as close to doctors & the hospital if needed.

The tour we were given was great. The actual everyday life in the Memory Care Unit is so far removed from the tour, is astounding. They are very short staffed, but the staff is absolutely wonderful. I am very under impressed. My mother hates it there.

Thrive at Greer is a lovely place for the residents. They have older music playing, in fact, I heard Frank Sinatra singing each time I visited. The people who work there are kind and helpful.

My parents have been here almost from the opening of this facility. I am still waiting for them to get consistent management. Change seems to be the norm. Meals are awful. Maintainance is shoddy. Would move my mom but at 95 it would be very upsetting. Do not give it 5 stars if you have not talked to residents.

I've had the pleasure of visiting Thrive several times. I work for a company that does business here and I have always been treated with the greatest respect. When I visit I'm usually here for a while and have watched many interactions that the staff have with their residents, and they are very caring and compassionate people. You can tell that the people who work here love their jobs and the people that they care for. If I had a family member that needed assisted living or memory care I would not hesitate to recommend that they live at Thrive.

I did not know what this building was until I toured last week. It is a very beautiful community and all of the staff are friendly and welcoming. They all greet their residents, treat them kindly, and seem to really care about how they're doing. The suites are spacious and up-to-date and the prices are reasonable.
