In all fairness, the facility seems pleasant, and it was very convenient to our home. After assessing Mom at our home, Manning lobbied hard to get Mom settled there, and so we chose it. Mom was less than thrilled, but seemed to be accepting. But her emotions and cognition quickly deteriorated. The next few days she continued to be somewhat belligerent, but later seemed to calm down.. But even that soon, Manning wanted her out. She had found the locked-and-alarmed fire exit doors, and they feared she was a flight risk. So, after a one-month residency, another transition for Mom. I don't believe that Mom received all the attention that had been promised. It appeared that the linens had not been changed weekly---or possibly not at all. Much soiled clothing was not being washed, and several items disappeared. They said they could not convince her to take any meds, nor bathe. For the right resident, Manning might work out OK, but for my Mom, it was a very poor fit.

Working at Manning Place has been one of the best jobs i have ever worked. The team we have is awesome. And the residents are so loving. It has been a pleasure taking care of the residents and meeting their families..

Love this place. My dad has lived here for almost a year and it's just a big extended family! From meeting new friends in the residents to having an excellent staff. I cant imagine being anywhere else.

My mother in law has been there over a year and there are not enough words to describe how wonderful this place is. She was hesitant about moving in to a facility, as she called it but, she has grown to love it. We consider the staff family. It is a smaller community which is wonderful because it is like a family unit. Mom was able to keep her little dog Jack, who is considered one of the residents as well. She also was able to have her afternoon libations (cocktail), which made her very happy. The staff is always attentive and the place is meticulously clean. During the recent pandemic, they were on top of all the safety procedures and have kept the virus at bay. Everyone there goes out of their way to make sure the residents and families are safe and happy. I have to add that Joe is a saint and keeps everyone active and happy. Thank you so much Manning Place. There are not enough stars to give you.

I have had the pleasure to get to the know the staff and residents at Manning Place as the owner of Visiting Angels. The community is well cared for and anyone we have worked with there has so many positive things to say. I always look forward to my time spent there.

We absolutely love Manning Place. They do a wonderful job of taking care of my dad. We could not be happier. The staff members are very caring. They have gotten to know him, and he responds well to them. He really likes it there. He calls it home. We couldn't ask for anything more. They have all kinds of different things going on. One of my favorite things, I would say, is that they have music groups and people come in and do things. When my dad is not able to get out and do, they have people who come there. We like that as well. His room is like a baby apartment. It is really nice. He has plenty of room to have his bedroom area, his sitting area, his kitchen area and then of course the bathroom. They have a theater area and a craft room that they work in. Their dining room doubles as a place to do activities as well. One of my dad's favorite places to go to is the courtyard.

We are real pleased with the community and she is doing really good here. On our tour we met with all the staff including the nurses. It is a smaller community and the staff are real personable and good. I have not had any issues and we are glad to have found them.

I visited Manning Place, but we found out that it would not suit my mother-in-law. The one-bedroom unit that we looked at was spacious. The staff was nice, and the facility was clean. My only personal drawback of this place is that it's near a high school football stadium, and it would be quite loud in there.

Manning House is a small place; I think they only have 37 or 39 units. Everybody there is not memory care, but they do memory care. Each unit has a bedroom, living room, a bathroom, small sink, microwave, and a small refrigerator. They have a small round table for four set up nicely with tablecloths, and the residents communicate at meal time. My mother has three other ladies she sits with every meal. They took them to mountain sights, to shopping stores, and they took them for a ride. They do pictionary, bingo, and the activities going there are very good. They do low-impact exercise classes and walking clubs. They can go outside and sit in the courtyard with trees and flowers. We have no complaints, though we would prefer she was at home, but its a good place to be and I really havent seen any problems at this point.

The recent changes in administrator and nurse are the best thing that could have happened. They are both an asset to the facility and they are making positive changes. So happy my dad is in the care of a wonderful staff.
