My mother has been a resident of Haywood Estates for nearly five years. In that time, the community has gone through numerous management and support staff. The present management and support team (Atria) is by far the best I have encountered. They work together well, and it is clear that their regard and concern in creating enriching experiences for the residents is a priority. For example a recent summer lunch which I attended with my mother featured a community barbecue complete with delicious sides and dessert, enhanced by a "camping" theme with music, games and decorations. There was a genuine air of enjoyment all around. Now I have learned that once again Haywood Estates will undergo a change in management service. With all the physical renovations, Haywood has a most pleasing appeal. My hope is that every single employee is retained with the change for the residents sake. I see happy caring people that make a difference in the quality of the residents lives.

I came in to see my peepaw who moved in a few weeks ago and Gail was such a sweet heart! Very friendly and cleaned up very nicely! So glad peepaw has someone so amazing to help keep up his room

My dad CHOSE to live here and he loved it! It is independent living with included meals, snacks and light cleaning. He enjoyed the meals and participated fully in the wide array of the activities that were offered. The other residents were social and kind with my dad having expressive aphasia. The staff members, even through the changes and renovations were amazing to him and me. He unfortunately is needing more assistance with reminders now so he cannot stay here but I recommend the place highly. It is clean, bright and has a welcoming feel.

I visited today after a year (post) COVID and 3 vaccinations to bring a gift to my aunt. I have only a suggestion. I love to new check in protocol, however feel that it falls short for identification. I know my aunt is having memory issues and needs reassurance that anyone entering has to provide their identification to enter as she is hearing stories about scams and rightfully so. Is there a way that can be implemented and explained to them that they are safe when family comes in or have us in a safe database for their security. It's so sad when you're not remembered but even harder when you're there to help and can't due to their fear. Thank you!

I have friends who live at Haywood Estates, and every time I visit, we have a great time. They will often invite me to lunch, and the food is outstanding. My friend's apartments are much larger and nicer than my other friend's apartments who lives at Westminster. Also, the overall look of the place is prettier, and I find the residents are so much more friendly. Besides the incredible food, my other favorite part about Haywood is the excellent well-lit walking trail that meanders through the most beautifully landscaped grounds, especially in the spring when everything is in bloom. I have toured most of the Greenville retirement communities with Senior Action, and Haywood Estates is by far my favorite.

My aunt with memory issues has been a resident for 5 months. She can be difficult at times, but the staff, especially Ally and Louise, have always been patient and kind with her. The facility is a little dated, but it is well kept and clean and the rooms are spacious. The food is good with several choices for picky people like my aunt. Its not a medical facility, but medical help is available on site and is great, especially the PT and OT ladies.

Very nice retirement home on haywood blvd. I put up a Paparazzi Accessories display booth there one day. I love my $5 bling business. The people living there were so friendly and so nice. The staff was friendly too. It looks like the residents are very happy and satisfied with their living arrangements

The facility is dated, but the environment is top notch. The staff is friendly and engaging, and you see the same faces day after day. Fun activities and special events for residents. My mom (70 years old) moved in 3 months ago, and is very happy.

Haywood Estates is my home away from home! I have worked in and visited various communities in the past few years and Haywood Estates outshines them all. This community has the most spacious rooms and friendly residents. Every week there are action packed activities and delicious meals. I highly recommend this community to all of my friends and family!

This is the nicest retirement home I have ever been in. There is a real Chef on staff and the food is excellent. I would definitely trust that my loved ones are safe and happy here, because its the place where I would want to go myself. The amenities are comparable to a 4-star hotel.
