The Pearl has really taken good care of my sister.I like their practice of keeping the residents active and out and about and not in their room. The caregivers are very helpful getting my sister ready for appointments. I travel from Rock Hill to pick her up and take her back to Rock Hill to her specialist. The caregivers make my pick up very smooth. The administrative folks are also a huge help getting my sister's long term healthcare started. They always take time out of their busy day to give me help.I made the right choice when I chose The Pearl for my sister.

Our family has been so happy with the care my wife has received at The Pearl. It has given us each a peace of mind. Dementia is a very difficult disease on the entire family. The staff is well trained on how to manage the residents. I have witnessed their special care in so many instances. The facility itself is always clean. The rooms are large and the common areas are spacious. My wife is always dressed in clean clothing. They keep meals and snacks on a regular schedule. They also have special activities for their residents. I personally appreciate the time the staff spends with me, keeping me informed about my wife's condition and things she may need. Thank you to the staff, well done.

My wife has been a resident at The Pearl for 3 years now and thus far I've been very happy with my choice. It's given me a "peace of mind" knowing that she is safe, well taken care of, and not neglected. The Pearl specializes in the unique behaviors of people with dementia which can, at times, be demanding. The workers are trained in this specialty as well as the management staff whom regularly interact with the residents too. Residents are treated with respect and dignity and individually are not ignored for long periods of time. Routines are important, such as meals and snacks, which are always the same times each day. I like the cleanliness and layout of the facility. My wife's room and bathroom are always cleaned every new day. Her clothes are always fresh and clean. Overall I've very happy that I picked The Pearl to care for my wife.

I can't even begin to explain how fortunate my family is to have my wife under the roof & phenomenal care of The Pearl in Fort Mill, SC. I want to give special thanks to Craig Lewis & Sara Melody for taking a chance on my wife & welcoming her into their community. The professionalism that they have demonstrated has been exemplary. The environment at the Pearl is a perfect fit for my wife & the rare form of dementia that she has. The staff/caregivers for these residents is top notch. Each time my family visits & walk out those doors we know that my wife is in great hands & being well taken care of. And, believe me, having that sense of peace is invaluable. I will be an advocate for The Pearl & will promote them any chance I get.

I am so grateful that my mom has been placed at the Pearl in Fort Mill SC. The care my mom has received since she has been there has been nothing short of excellent. The staff and caregivers that the residents are under go above and beyond each day to make sure that their needs are met. Since my mom has been under the care of The Pearl my family and I are able to walk out and know that she is being given the upmost respect and care. If you are looking to place your loved one this is truly the place to go.

Early on they provided excellent care for my sweet mom who has dementia. Later it was hit and miss. Constant staffing changes, so care depends on who is employed at the moment. They didn't seem to do well at retaining good employees.

I am very grateful for The Pearl at Fort Mill. I had looked at two other facilities and was one day before placing my husband in a different facility and two issues came up that were unacceptable. I had not looked at The Pearl because it was further from our home. They called me from The Pearl on a referral that they got from "A Place for Mom" at the time I knew I had chosen the wrong place for my husband. I will always be grateful to God for that phone call as I went the very next day and saw and met the director. She was caring and kind and answered all my questions and gave me the necessary paperwork and said we could bring him as soon as we were ready. He was placed the following week and I could not be more happy with The Pearl. The commitment of all the staff; their care, their friendliness, their attitude, their love for the work and their love for each patient is always the same and they make him feel loved and welcome. Every staff member is available and helpful to me and to my husband. They allow the residents free access to see them. My husband is safe and happy there and I can sleep at night knowing that they can and are taking better care of him that I could no longer provide. The facility is lovely, bright and feels happy and nothing like most people would imagine. The natural light, colors and decorating are soothing too. When you walk into the front door you feel welcome and not like you are checking into a hospital which the other two did feel that way. Again, I could not be happier for my husband, nor myself. I consider these people an extension of my family because they take care of and love him and I love them for it.

If you are considering The Pearl Fort Mill don’t hesitate. I promise you will love them. They are so nice, walk you through every step from getting your loved one in to taking care of them. I’m very unhealthy and have congestive heart failure. They understand that I can’t visit like I’d like to but they don’t mind me calling to check on my husband. I have not had any issue with staff or his care. They take that burden off of me. Best thing that ever happened was him getting into The Pearl. They are the best!

The Pearl and its’ staff far exceeded my expectations of a wonderful place for a loved one to live. The inside is decorated beautifully and is always clean with a fresh, clean fragrance in the air. The residents appear to be happy and content there. The amenities are many, but I was moved to write this due how my father and family have been treated by specific staff. We were faced with a dilemma but through the quick thinking of Ms. Sandy Kenely, the concierge personnel, she successfully resolved the situation by thinking outside the box while enabling my family member to retain his sense of self-agency, dignity, and person-centered empowerment. As someone with a background human services, I felt a great sense of joy seeing my father treated as though he had not lost his sense of self-determination over his life. I spoke with her supervisor, Ms. Sara Melody, about the brilliant tactic she used so my father didn’t feel hurt of helpless in his new environment and Ms. Melody reinforced my positive impression of The Pearl even further. We discussed her strong determination to ensure patients are treated in a manner where their biological, psychological, and social welfare are the top priorities while residing at The Pearl. In addition, one of the staff, Ms. Tonya Black, went above and beyond her job description when she volunteered her personal time and money after working her entire shift, to make sure an unforeseen problem was remedied. Thanks to her compassion, kindness, and responsibility she didn’t hesitate to take upon herself when most others would not reach out to help others, especially strangers, she enabled us to have as long a visit as possible with my father. We were particularly grateful given we had driven almost two hours away to make the visit. We would have been devastated had we not been able to see our loved one. With gratitude, EC

They evicted my mother and law for being to difficult to handle. She is 87 years old with dementia and under end of life care with hospice. She stopped breathing and was revived by a staff member, but instead of calling hospice they sent her to a packed emergency room all by her self. She spent 5 hours in the waiting room, never saw a doctor. We were able to get her transported back to the facility that evening. After being exposed to everyone in the emergency room, they did not even quarantine here from other residents. This facility should be closed by the state and the director fired asap!

The care at The Pearl was sincere and loving. Food is very very good, which at an assisted living facility surprised me! We had a loved one here for 18.5 months. Staff-caregivers were wonderful and always accommodating. Nurse very attentive. Place is clean. There are many activities. It is a tough situation in life, I have nothing but gratefulness and thanks for the care Patricia was daily shown.

From the family of George D Thank you to you and your team for the wonderful care you gave my Dad the last four months of his life. We had a good feeling about your facility when we first met you, and that was a feeling and thought that never changed- I knew Dad was in good hands. In this time of COVID, please know how much your dedication and sacrifice to care for him and the other residents means to us. I will treasure memories of his time there for the rest of my life.
