My husband is in the memory care facility here at Spring Oak. The staff is so nice and loving to him. The food is always freshly prepared and I have the option to pick from the choices each week to make sure he gets what I know he would want. If I get concerned about him getting a UTI which he is prone to get they will make sure I can get in touch with his nurse to get a jump on getting him antibiotics.

I have visited this facility on numerous occasions and always found the staff to be very kind, compassionate and caring. They really treat their residents as if the are their own family. You can see how much the residents love it in their eyes, smiles and actions! If my mom or dad need to be in a facility like this, I would feel very comfortable with that.

Deciding my grandparents needed to transition to assisted living wasn’t easy. Working with Susie at Spring Oak, made it possible. My grandparents enjoy the friendly residents, food, caring staff and, of course, Bingo. Although, they are no longer living in their home, I’m at peace knowing they are well taken care of at Spring Oak.

As a visitor of the community, I find Spring Oak to be very clean and pleasant. The staff and workers are friendly and compassionate to their patients as well as visitors. They make sure everyone is comfortable and provide lots of activities to keep everyone engaged and active. A very welcoming facility!

It's only been a month since my Father has been there, but Susannah has been a breath of fresh air working with him. We have tried for over a year to get him somewhere he could get the help he needed. Susannah was able to convince him to try Spring Oak and we could not be any more greatfull for her help. Shout out to all the staff I have interacted with so far, they have been outstanding, compassionate and caring. His only complaint so far has been them waking him up to take his meds, but I'm greatfull I know he is taking them. If anything changes I will update this review, Thanks again to Susannah

This facility is great. I often visit there to help a dear friend and resident with her hair. I am welcomed and gladly given the help I need to assist me in the job I am there to do. The facility is clean and the staff has even accommodated my own daddy with a snack while he was visiting his best friend there. There is complimentary coffee in the beautiful lobby and the public bathroom is very clean. I give this facility a 5.

My grandparents have been a part of Spring Oak for 4 years. My grandfather recently passed away, & it has been very hard for my Grandma to still be there without him. The residents & staff have shown up to support & love her in so many ways. A resident immediately came to sit with her at meals so she wasn’t alone, & staff members are constantly in and out just to chat & check on her. Some even offer to help with her puzzle. This community truly is a family, & we are so thankful to be a part of it.

My mom went into the memory care unit and the caregivers there have been wonderful with her. They help her with whatever is needed. They are also very helpful with whatever I need for my mom. It has made this transition a lot easier for me having her there!

Our experience so far has been an easy and stress free transition for Margaret. The staff, especially Susanna, have been so helpful and friendly and Margaret is feeling very comfortable and safe which of course are the most important things we could ask for. She is enjoying the meals and has begun to participate in some activities. Her roommate is a sweetheart and they are enjoying becoming friends. We look forward to watching her grow into the Spring Oaks family.

My mother has been in Spring Oak for approximately 9 months. She is extremely happy being there. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. My mother is currently unable to join the weekly Walmart outing and has no computer skills. The staff helps my mother order items from Walmart and they put the items away when they arrive. The staff holds, orders and administers all her medication. The maintenance staff quickly hung pictures and her TV. He even spent several times explaining how to use the remote. When I call, the staff is polite and answers all my questions quickly. I could give many more examples of how helpful and nice everyone is. All my mom’s needs and wants are met. My mother and I are both extremely happy with Spring Oak and their staff.

We were so blessed to have found Carolina Gardens for our Father who had Dementia. They became our second family even though 2 sisters reside in MD and 1 sister resides in SC. The care and love that was given to our Daddy was abundant. There wasn’t a visit made, that there were not hugs and laughter shared with our Daddy and/or any of the staff. Our Daddy passed 10/23/24 and all staff members who had the day off, came in to visit him his last few days here on earth. That speaks volumes!! I would highly recommend Carolina Gardens for your loved ones as they took wonderful care of our Daddy.

I absolutely love visiting this community! My children and I have had the joy of coming to sing for the residents during the holidays, and every time we leave with full hearts. The residents are always smiling and seem so happy and well cared for. You can really feel the warmth and family atmosphere as soon as you walk in the door. Our soccer club came to play bingo and we had an absolute blast! Scheduling was so easy and the staff were so welcoming and ready to help us with a material that I forgot. The residents crushed us at bingo but our kids had such a great time, they were asking about our next visit before we were out the door. We will be visiting regularly for sure! Now someone take Joanne to Vegas, she was on a hot winning streak!

As a healthcare worker myself, I was devastated when we realized that we had to put our loved one in an assisted living facility. But let me tell you.all of my fears and worries have been put to rest since moving my grandmother here!!! She laughs, gets to participate in activities, and most importantly she gets to socialize with others who share the same pitiful disease that she has. Spring Oak Assisted Living has an extraordinary team of med techs and staff from reception, sales/marketing, nursing and maintenance, who are patient, attentive, and very knowledgeable. What truly sets them apart is how they treat every resident as if they were their own family. They value each person’s life experiences and show incredible patience and respect. My mom has a very strong personality and no is often her favorite word, but the staff never gave up on her. Instead, they met her with kindness, persistence, and genuine care. It gives me so much peace knowing she is surrounded by people who truly see her and care for her better than family can. P.S. I believe I know practically the entire staffs first names but I will misspell all of them, so they have been omitted.

My mother recently moved from another facility. The services she would be needing would no longer be available, so it was necessary to relocate her. For anyone finding themselves in this type of situation, there is no need to explain how trying this process can be. Fortunately, what could have been a very taxing situation was kindly alleviated by the staff at Spring Oak. From the moment my brother and I met Susannah Prosser (Director of Commu ity Relations) to discuss our plans for our mother, things began to move in a positive direction. Since her relocation, we remain up to date with information from the staff. We are very pleased with our decision.

After visiting multiple assisted living facilities in the Conway/ NMB/ MB area- we felt very fortunate to find Spring Oak. The combination of location, aesthetics, price point, and courteous staff made Spring Oak the right ASL facility for our loved one. While the move from home was difficult, our loved one adjusted better than expected. His feedback was that the food was good and the staff was kind and pleasant. From Susannah helping us onboard, to Ja’niya's friendly smile in the halls, and Mandy who excels at finding things to talk about while cutting residents' hair, we were welcomed from Day 1.We feel blessed to have found Spring Oak!

It was a very difficult family decision to move my father from our home into Spring Oak of Conway but we couldn’t have been more pleased with our experience. From our initial visit to dad’s move in the staff has been friendly, reassuring, highly communicative, and professional. My father is happy and has expressed nothing but positive comments. His medical care is monitored by their in house nursing staff as well professionals from a nearby clinic. Spring Oak has been a Godsend and I would highly recommend their facility to anyone considering moving their loved one into an assisted living or memory care setting.

We are very happy with Spring Oak! They help with my dad’s mobility needs, taking medication, cleaning, and cooking. His Physical, Occupational and Speech therapy is provided on-site. A Nurse Practitioner is available if he needs anything or has concerns. The staff is kind, caring, and attentive. We are always welcomed with a smile! My dad says the food is good and the other residents are friendly I often see residents out in the common spaces playing games, chatting, doing crafts, and hanging out with each other. Staff keep everything well cleaned and the common areas feel like home. I’m so happy we found Spring Oak!

Words cannot truly express how grateful I am to the staff at Spring Oak. They have been there for my mom & my family100% from day one. Mom’s health has significantly improved since she’s lived there. The staff has become family to us & have been available day & night. Any questions are immediately addressed & the staff goes above & beyond to ensure the residents are well cared for & happy. They have a variety of activities that the residents can participate in & there’s something for everyone. The director is top notch & like no one I’ve ever dealt with before. They have done a phenomenal job keeping me informed as to when he left rehab and entered Spring Oak memory care center. Spring Oak is a wonderful place for your loved one. This is not the only one we have had our mother in but it quickly became home like no other! The staff are always friendly and super helpful. The Director guided us through the entire process leaving nothing to be questioned. Food is top priority for your loved ones and my mom likes it. They keep these ladies and gents hopping with activities which soothes their souls and puts smiles on their faces. For our family it has been golden. This review of my father’s care at Carolina Gardens at Conway is long overdue. My father lived there for just under 3 years. The staff really cared about him. They did a very good job making it feel like home and went above and beyond. There are pictures of him on their FB page during events where he is really having a good time. This is a testament of what they do for everyone there. The staff kept in contact with us when there were issues and were always a phone call or text message away. They were also very helpful in solving administrative issues as well. When he passed away there, we were treated with compassion and kindness. I will always be grateful for the care he received there.

My grandparents have been living here for about 2 years, and we continue to be impressed by the care they receive. Giving up their home of over 50 years was not an easy adjustment, but we are so thankful for the staff at Spring Oak (formerly Carolina Gardens) because they helped make this their new home. There was a time once that Grandma had to spend a couple of days in the hospital, and when she returned, people from the front office all the way to janitorial staff who came by to check on her & welcome her back. We also know we never need to hesitate to ask if we have questions or concerns about anything.

You can tell when people love their jobs, when they get along with their co-workers, and when they are compassionate and caring. From the moment that I began talking about moving him in, until the final hours before his passing, the administration and staff went out of their way to make my Dad feel not just welcome, but like family. They allowed him to pursue his hobbies of making model airplanes and gardening, which kept him occupied and happy. They treated him with the utmost respect. They saw that his every need was met. Not only him, but I felt totally loved and supported throughout this whole process as well. Thank you!

My mom has lived at Carolina Gardens now Spring Oak for ten months. She loves her home there, says everyone there are like family. All of the care-team workers are very caring and friendly. They all go out of their way to help the residents and their families. My mom is cared for and treated with respect at all times. I have no worries anymore, I know she is in good hands at Spring Oak. As for me and my husband, we too are always treated with kindness and respect. We are always welcome at the community. The business staff is also very helpful and caring. They make sure that all residents feel cared for, loved and safe. Susanna Prossor, Director of Community Relations at Spring Oak is always available to help. She joins right in with all the other staff members in order to put on parties or other events for the residents. Anytime I have ever contacted her for any reason she has always reached out to me immediately to help solve a problem or answer a question! I visited several assisted living facilities in Myrtle Beach before choosing one for my mom. After visiting Spring Oak the decision was easy, my search was over!!!! Thank you to all Spring Oak Staff for taking such great care of my mom!!

2022 was a very tough year; the staff at Carolina Gardens at Conway helped us make it the best it could be. We tried to keep our Mom home but after 6 difficult months we knew we needed round the clock care. She was there for 7 months and received great care. The compassion and communication from the staff was above and beyond what we expected at that very difficult time. Thanks to all at Carolina Gardens at Conway for taking care of our Mom in her finals days.
