If you’re searching for a 55 plus, all inclusive, senior living facility, where the residents and staff are like one big, happy family, then Daniel Pointe is a must-see. My husband and I decided to move from Maryland to South Carolina to live closer to family. We had been living in a senior living facility in Baltimore and wanted to find a similar, all inclusive, rental community near Charleston. My 95 year old mother was moving with us, so we needed to find a community that we all agreed upon. We looked at several Senior Living facilities before deciding on Daniel Pointe. We were first impressed by the location of Daniel Pointe. Exiting the busy highway onto Daniel Island was like driving into paradise! The beautiful tree lined roads, walking trails and abundant flowers immediately caught our attention. The entrance to Daniel Pointe was gorgeous, with a stone waterfall, emptying into a koi pond. The facility appeared clean, well maintained and nicely decorated. We were immediately welcomed by the concierge, who introduced us to Amy, the Senior Living Consultant. Amy invited us to the Dining Room, where we enjoyed a delicious meal, while she provided us with information and answered all our questions Following lunch, we toured the community. The main floor is the primary location for most activities, including card games such as Bridge, Canasta, Rummikub, Bingo, etc. There is a large fitness center, game rooms, pharmacy, and a hair salon. There is a large theater where they offer musical entertainment, lectures, movies and non-denominational church services. Adjacent to the Dining Room, is a lounge that offers 24/7 self-serve coffee, hot chocolate, juice, and soft serve ice cream. The Lounge is also the site of Happy Hours, Trivia, games and other social activities. During our visit, the Activities Director was busy with a “meet and greet” social for new and current residents. We spoke with several residents, who all had positive words to say about Daniel Pointe. We toured the second and third floors, where we visited a lending library, art room, billiards room and a chapel. We then proceeded to the apartments. The apartments were spacious, well designed, and equipped with full kitchens, ample cabinet and drawer space, ceiling fans, and full-sized washer and dryers. One of the residents graciously invited us into her apartment, where we were able to visualize our furniture placement. We have now lived at Daniel Pointe for two years. I can’t say enough nice things about this community. The staff goes above and beyond to make the residents feel loved, safe, comfortable and at home. They show genuine concern for the residents and for each other. The staff is always friendly and it is obvious that they enjoy working here. When there is a problem, the staff works to correct it immediately. The managers, Gloria and Bob, live in the building and are always available. The facility is managed very well and it shows. Daniel Pointe is the next best thing to living with family!

I have had both close family and extended family living here since they opened. Would recommend to anyone who fits the criteria to live here. Our family comes to visit all the time and we love it. Daniel Pointe has talented, compassionate core staff who actually care about their residents! You can tell they love what they do.

Great facility. Super staff! Food service is very good. Starting to show wear and tear however which seems to be possibly cleaning staff not being as thorough as they need to be. Common area men's bathroom is not clean. Hallways, railings, other surfaces are dusty and not clean. Door facing are revealing that no one has cleaned them in a while. High traffic areas are showing a need to be updated very soon.If these details are being unattended to what other items are not being addressed? For the price that residents pay it is not unreasonable to expect the cleanliness of all common areas to be first rate.

Nice People...BUT! It is one step away from being an Assisted Living Facility. Not at all what they claim they are. Minimal Activities!

I recently moved here and joined a small business in the Goose Creek area. I called Daniel Pointe to simply connect with them, we work with the same people. We support an independent lifestyle for our elderly and support them as they age. I have heard great things about Daniel Pointe. Let me tell you the great things were fully supported. I had a wonderful tour, they have a couple that actually lives on site and is so passionate about what they do and who they serve. I toured with Bob, and it wasn't boring. The place was beautiful and warm and welcoming. They have a beautiful Koi pond in the foyer, they have private offices for you to meet with people in so they don't have to come to your home. There was a pharmacy, a library (actual books and not on a computer screen as one resident said lol) It was that warm southern hospitality where you feel like family and you JUST met. If you are looking to retire, look no further. Also; if you are a tomato person...ask for a piece of their tomato pie (you're welcome). It's unlike anything I have ever eaten.

Daniel Pointe Retirement is the most amazing 55+ building I have ever seen. It has a waterfall with a fish pond, 150 seat movie theater, large fitness center with a sauna, beauty shop, pharmacy, and small arcade all off of what is called main street. Apartments has full kitchen, but not needed because of the large dining room with a causal dining program and features a fine dining at dinner, supper, really better than many restaurants I really like. I realize I need to keep this short, the apartments feature amenities exceed most I has seen. To top off they will valet park you car all this in one price and no tipping allowed.

We just left from staying the week with my grandmother and grandad (JD and Barbara Johnson) and I just wanted to say thank you so much for the wonderful stay. We had so much fun and were treated like family ! Cindy, johnathon, Semaj and everybody else were so sweet to us and treated us like royalty. I also wanted to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking such good care of my sweet little grandparents.
