Our experience with the Memory Care unit here was terrible. The two stars are for the nice folks that work the front desk. We moved our mother out after 5 long weeks. They were over-medicating and sitting the patients in front of the television all day. The activities they tell you about are for the Assisted Living residents. Memory Care can go to them but you have to come and take your family member out of the locked doors, no staff of Garden House will take the Memory Care residents to the activities. Also, she did not receive any PT in the 5 weeks she was there. This facility came highly recommended but there must have been a leadership change because I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

This assisted living facility is truly exceptional. The environment is warm, clean, and beautifully maintained. The staff go above and beyond to ensure every resident feels respected, supported, and genuinely cared for.

Garden House of Anderson, S.C. Has become part of our family. Our mother has been quite happy with the activities from traveling in a hot air balloon to enjoying an Alaskan Cruise or a Hawaiian winter Luau; from playing bingo to taking art classes - each day is filled with activities for all to enjoy. Our mother counts many of the residents and the staff as her close friends. Often times family members are invited to participate. The personal care plans are designed with the needs of each resident in mind. To show how the Garden House staff reaches out to family, most recently they hosted an event where we were invited to participate in an exercise where we underwent an exercise where we were able to see what those afflicted with memory loss and dementia experience daily. It was quite eye opening and certainly gave me new perspectives of what many seniors must endure. As an attorney in estate planning for many years, I have had to place clients in assisted living and memory care quite often. I cannot recommend any senior care facility any higher than Garden House of Anderson, S.C. It is the best!

I highly recommend Garden House Assisted Living in Anderson, SC. The care and service are second to none. The experienced and knowledgeable administrators and the dedicated staff are true professionals with attention to detail. I can always count on them to answer questions, provide help or problem solve if needed. The environment at Garden House is welcoming, uplifting, and positive. The Garden House of Anderson is a wonderful facility. As a therapist, I’ve been in and out of most facilities in Anderson - Garden house is clean , well kept , really very pretty. More importantly , staff is caring and helpful to residents , their families and to us as clinicians that partner with them to care for our seniors !

The Garden House took very good care of my father during his stay. The staff was communicative, caring, and accommodating. The facility was well cared for, a variety of services and activities were offered, and the dining experience was well thought out.

Garden House and their staff is amazing. My mom was in the memory care unit for the last 4 months and the entire staff was amazing. From day one, they settled my nerves and gave me peace about her living there and after that they talked to me anytime I called. The office staff is amazing with any questions and the staff is awesome and extremely attentive to the residents. I would highly recommend this facility for anyone but especially if you have a loved one who needs memory care.

Moving your parents from their own home to assisted living is probably never easy. There are many transitions, but the Garden House of Anderson made this necessary way of life change very smooth. My mom has been living in the Garden House for 3 years. The first year she lived in the 100 section. She was basically taking care of herself. We loved all the staff that helped her to be as independent as she could be. They were wonderful with her. After that first year she was then moved to memory care. My sister and I visited our mom everyday from the first day she moved to the Garden House. Everyday. We watched everyone that worked there and never had a complaint. When we couldn’t visit because of Covid we never worried about her care. We had watched the staff at work for a year and a half. We knew how they did their jobs. We would call to check on her each day and whoever answered the phone knew what was going on with our mom. Having someone with dementia is very hard. Garden House eased our stress and worries. Our mom thinks the staff is her family. And we see them as our family. Keelee runs a tight ship. April welcomes new guests with open arms. But the staff is the Garden House.

One of life's toughest decisions is deciding when and where to move a parent into assisted living. The time came for my mother to move into assisted memory care as we knew she would need special attention. Garden House has been an answer to our prayers as my mother has adapted and thrived in the environment. I have watched as the entire staff (in both Assisted Living and Memory Care) treat each resident with kindness and respect. I have been particularly impressed with Molly (Memory Care Coordinator) as she and her team have frequent activities, parties, and special outings. It has been thrilling to visit the Garden House Facebook page and see my mom smiling and enjoying the events. Plus I have been impressed with the management team. Keelee, the Garden House Director as she has addressed any concern with promptness and the administrative assistant, Ann, is always happy to help with any questions. This is truly a 5 star Assisted Living facility.

My Mom is a resident and she thoroughly enjoys it. Many activities are on the schedule, exercise classes are offered and there is weekly entertainment. There is also wine and cheese once a week with music.

My mother, who will be 90 this year, has been in the memory care unit at The Garden House for over a year. She always tells me what a beautiful place it is. We feel very comfortable with her care there and how much she feels at home. Though it is very sad to see your mom go through this stage of life, The Garden House gives us peace of mind knowing that she is well taken care of.
