Learning after what appeared to be a minor stroke that your mother cannot live by herself any longer is extremely stressful and a difficult time for the entire family. Then comes looking into where she may go-can drive one crazy. My brother happened to make a call to Brookdale and spoke with Steve. Steve was extremely friendly and helpful. He gave us not only information about Brookdale but unsolicited guidance regarding what to look for in researching assisted living and/or long term nursing care. After looking at 3 other facilities, we were informed mother was accepted as an assisted living resident. After checking on finances, moving her into Brookdale was a no brainer. They have been extremely helpful in not only assisting my mother in adjusting and accepting her new situation, but assisting our family with the adjustment. In the 5 weeks my mother has been at Brookdale, we have nothing negative to say. The adjustment period for all of us was just what we were told it could be. Thank you!!

As a resident I recommend highly. Privacy is honored. Help if needed is dispensed immediately. everything is done to make you comfortable. Where else can you go and have your bed made daily, trash removed daily, clean linens daily, food cooked for you with a menu of at least 3 choices 3 times per day. If you need help with meds nurses at your disposal. Activities available, of your choice, every day all day if desired. This is like living on a cruise ship on land. I have lived here for 1 year and do not have a complaint yet.

Mom is in a dementia unit and she is extremely well cared for. The staff treats her like family.

It's hard to rate because there are 4 seperate types of residences, each with mandatory federal ,state and local compliance requirements. But the one commonality across the facility is the kind,caring,generous,and loving staff that become part of your family. Their upbeat attitudes are outstanding! I would suggest that their upcoming open house would be a good start, followed by a more personal tour. I needed their services for 3 years and while no where is perfect, I would return for further care as needed and feel comfortable having family members there.
