Atria Aquidneck Place is a great place for your loved one! Expert nursing and caregiver staff. They always know where you lived one is. Have excellent food and activities for you loved one. I just wanted to share how happy I am at Atria Aquidneck Place. I’ve been here for five years and the management staff along with nursing, housekeeping, & activities are all exceptional. Lenore, Jen and Liz are the most exceptional nurses I’ve had in 12 years since I’ve had my stroke. Brenda keeps my apartment in tiptop shape, and Al the director of activities even brings me surfing at Newport Beach. Those are memories I’ll cherish forever.

This review is long overdue, but comes from the heart. In February, my mother spent a respite stay at Atria Aquidneck Place following a difficult accident. She had sustained multiple injuries - a broken and casted hand, fractured ribs, and a fractured pelvis - and was discharged from rehab sooner than expected. With her home more than an hour away from me in Portsmouth and concerns about her ability to cook, dress, or bathe safely on her own, I needed to find a safe, supportive place nearby - and Atria Aquidneck Place truly delivered. From the moment she arrived, she was embraced with warmth and care. Sandra and Jason were incredibly welcoming - Sandra even went above and beyond by personally furnishing and decorating a room for her, creating a space that felt like home. The entire team, from nursing and med techs to dining staff and front desk personnel, treated my mom with compassion, respect, and attentiveness. A special thanks goes to Alan, the activities director, who helped her stay engaged with a wide array of fun and uplifting activities that brought her joy during her recovery. I can’t express enough gratitude to everyone at Atria for their kindness, professionalism, and the peace of mind they gave me during a stressful time. My mother still talks about how comfortable and cared for she felt - and when the time comes for her to make a permanent move, she has already said she wants to return to Atria Aquidneck Place. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.

Our mom was at Atria Aquidneck Place, although not for as long as we would have hoped. My sister and I cannot say enough good things about this facility. The setting, location and facility are top notch--like a nice resort hotel. There are walking paths, waist high garden beds which allow the residents to garden without bending, a nice courtyard with fire pits and comfortable furniture, etc.. What sets this place apart is the staff. From the housekeeping and maintenance, to the dining, activities and others, they are welcoming, cheerful and caring. Many have been there 10-20 years and you can tell that they enjoy their jobs and helping the residents. Whenever I called, the desk person knew where our mom was and what/how she was doing. It's not often that you see this level of involvement in any business. My wife worked in senior services in MA and visited many high-end assisted living and memory care facilities in the affluent suburbs. She said this place tops them all and if she wanted assisted living, she would pick Atria Aquidneck. My sister had the same opinion. I would too except there is no place to dock my boat. We would HIGHLY recommend this assisted living facility.

Our first experience with Atria Aquidneck Place was with Sandra, the Marketing Director and Jason, the Executive Director who were both incredibly welcoming, kind and understanding. Initially, our 85-year-old father was not happy about the prospect of downsizing from a house to a studio apartment in a senior community. However, with the guidance of the friendly staff and the social stimulus from his peer group, he has acclimated well. He has admitted that we have chosen a beautiful place for him to live. He lives independently but feels much safer with the on-site support. An organization’s culture starts with its leadership. All the staff have been incredibly kind and helpful. Now Dad calls us so happy to share how much he has enjoyed the music entertainment and the companionship at meals. We highly recommend Atria Aquidneck Place!

I am extremely pleased with the entire experience that my wife has enjoyed in Life Guidance since October 2022. Everything starts with the staff and their personal approach to both my wife and me. The Life Guidance director Thelma proactively reaches out to me to keep me informed to make sure my wife’s needs are met. The activities are varied and stimulating, especially art projects and music. Everything in terms of personal care, food and activities are tailored to the individual. A special bonus is having a salon in the building. From the moment you are greeted by the receptionist you know that Atria Aquidneck place is exceptional.

I chose Atria for my mom 8 months ago and could not be happier with the decision. The community is beautifully maintained inside and out with beautiful apartments, public spaces, gardens, & patios. When I go there I immediately feel welcomed by the staff. They are all truly dedicated to the well-being and comfort of the residents by going above and beyond for everyone. Some days I want to work in this "family" environment and other times I think of living there some day! There are activities for every interest in the community and trips outside the community as well. The dining experience is prepared and served with a delicious daily selection. Off menu options are available as well and served with care by the waitstaff.

If 6 stars were an option here I would have chosen that. The staff at Atria Aquidneck Place is absolutely spectacular - caring and warm. Andrea Santo, the unbelievably capable Executive Director, has made great things happen over and over again, solving problems for our family, and continues to hire (and retain) a true all-star team at the Atria. Carissa, who might be the world’s best nurse, has helped our family through some serious medical challenges, going above and beyond with real compassion. I wish I could name each and every one of the great staff at Atria Aquidneck Place - from the warm hearted, beautiful soul housekeepers, to the med-techs, to the chefs and dining staff - the food is better than at most restaurants, honestly. If you have a loved one in need, do them a gigantic favor and stop in at the Atria Aquidneck Place.

Staff from top to bottom are so focused on creating a warm and welcoming environment for their residents, families and guests and are consistently successful! The staff truly exceed expectations every day with their compassion and care services that are provided, if needed. The activities calendar is full of a variety of events and there is a lot of opportunity to experience different events outside of the community in the neighboring towns like plays, comedy shows and more! As for the dining experience, it replicates the restaurant style atmosphere with excellent waitstaff, a full menu and daily specials - all included in the residents monthly billing. If a change of scenery is needed, the residents also have the option to partake on the weekly restaurant outings in the area. Atria Aquidneck Place is a wonderful community for everyone that lives there, works there, and goes to visit. If you haven’t visited before you should pick a day to stop by!

Love it! I cannot cite a single employee. I want to list the entire staff, but space is limited. So start with Margaret, ever efficient manger. Then Dale who works 24/7 to keep us active and engaged. Then Mo who serves querulous appetites with humor and creativity and the wonderful wait-staff (who must want to dump a dinner plate on our heads at times!) including Lisa, Kaitlin, Melissa, , Brianna, Amy, Kayla, Gretchen and Kye. Add Bethany and Justine whose zest and good spirits are contagious and the cheerful drivers, Kenin and Ron. And gracious receptionists, Liz,Jane,Katie and Helen. Add Jim and Ray who will fix anything and the really fabulous medical, resident services and housekeeping staffs who keep us safe and well. Who could ask for anything more?
