One of my choices for moving into Bellingham was based on proximity to my children and also I liked this area. And more importantly was the staff at Bellingham. Cheryl got in touch with me very soon after I moved in and her cheerfulness and enthusiasm further resolved my decision to move in. So many of the staff are cheerful, and willing to help. Since moving in, Cheryl has contacted me several times asking if there is anything she can do regarding moving in and getting settled. She can often be seen talking to the residents and her cheerful smile is always welcoming. I hope that Cheryl remains at Bellingham for a very long time.

I have known Cheryl Jones only a few months, but she's so easy to get to know and adore. She is always so pleasant and cheerful and has only kind things to say about the residents and other staff members. And she is also ready to help out whenever it's needed. She always makes me feel as though I made the right decision about moving to Bellingham, and I'm glad she is here to make me feel welcome whenever I see her. We are blessed to have such a wonderful person in the community. We are thankful for her.

I find it odd that the majority of these reviews are written by people who just visited the facility and are very impressed. I don't see any recent ones. If you want to know what a facility is really like, talk to the residents who live there. I personally know two people who live there, one in Memory Care and one in Independent Living. The facility has changed hands a couple times in the past year and recently with a substancial price increase, without receiving any additional benefits. Ask about Security, eat at the restaurant and see if you like the food, are the residents happy or just the tour givers? What is the evacuation plan in case of a fire? What time do they lock the main door? You might need to know this if you have a famiy member you want to visit. Don't judge a book by it's cover.

Keep in mind when you visit a home like this and are talking to the employees, everything is wonderful. Try talking to the residents who live there. They are the ones who can tell you what it is really like. Ask about Security. Look for cameras. Are there any inside or outside? Who will have a key and have access to my room? Renting a room there for a week before deciding to move in permanently would give you insight to what it would be like to live there. Eat in the dining room. Get to know the residents. Can you get a ride to your doctor's appointment????? Better safe than sorry.

I have been a certified public accountant in West Chester for 47 years working and living in our West Goshen home for 42+ years. As a businessman I believe that employees should be commended for going above and beyond what is required. I want to tell you about our journey of getting to Bellingham and COMPLIMENT the services of Loretta Marino. We meet Loretta about 8 months ago when my wife had the first onset of dementia. We toured your facility three different times starting with independent living in the fall of 2024 then personal care for my wife of 45+ years as her dementia progressed. Loretta was very patient and understanding of our situation and found the right fit for me and my wife. Loretta has followed up quickly to our inquiries and referred us to your chef Jeffrey who catered the joint birthday parties of our oldest son (who turned 40) AND ME (WHO TURNED 70) last weekend. You have a very valuable asset in Loretta. Everyone I meet I tell them about the great experiences we have had at Bellingham and highly compliment and recommend the services of Loretta. We checked out 10 senior living/retirement homes and Watermark at Bellingham was their number one choice because of Shannon Claar. She was very responsive and provided a very positive experience for my Dad & I. we could tell that people were very happy to be there and it is a very friendly environment, which is extremely important for my dad, since this is a huge transition for him. Shannon was there for us from start to finish and she was so patient bc we had tons of questions; Email and texts. Shannon and Jane Wood Moving coordinator made the moving transition so smooth, truly appreciate all their support and guidance. We finally moved my dad in beginning of September. I recently went on a tour with a lovely lady named Donna Rachlin. I am searching for a place for my 79 year old father. Donna was so warm and inviting! The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The apartment sizes were great and the entire facility was decorated beautifully. It was a wonderful experience. I could totally see my dad living here. It felt like home.

I can't say enough on how the staff at the Watermark. From the very beginning when we received a referral to them (surprisingly from a location that was not 5 stars…more on that in another review) to this very moment the experience with them has been incredible. My Mom came to the Watermark after a fall, fractured hip and rehab and to say the least was pretty run through the wringer. The group at the Watermark not only made the process to move into the facility seamless, they met with us on a Sunday to show us the facility and gave us all the time we needed to ask questions. When it came to move in time they were flexible and made sure once Mom was in she was always checked in on by staff in addition to the helpers support that is onsite. We can not say enough, about Donna, Loretta, Jane and the entire staff there at the Watermark at Bellingham. Thank you!

My family toured Watermark with our mother after losing our Dad months prior. Loretta and Donna both were so hospitable and supportive with us and helped guide us through the process and everything lined up well and Mom is now moved in and on her fourth week there…. Since her arrival I've personally met several of the residents and have seen both Donna and Loretta on several occasions checking in on Mom to make sure she's adjusting well. I highly recommend this as a home for any senior. It's a beautiful community.

When it came to finding a community for my Mom, I knew it had to be special. My Mom and I looked at several options in the area, but once we found Bellingham, the search was over. The facility is renovated and welcoming and the staff delightful. In particular, the Sales Director, Donna Rachlin, worked with us to make the process worry-free. My mom will be moving in this week to an independent apartment. She is moving from Hilton Head, SC. A few years ago, I used to volunteer at Bellingham and knew how wonderful the community is. When I met Donna Rachlin, the Sales Director, for the first time to talk about moving my mom, my decision to only look at Bellingham was sealed. Donna has been kind, patient, genuine and approachable, offering me and my family a lot of guidance as we ready ourselves to move Mom from her home in Hilton Head in which she has lived for nearly 40 years. Donna, Loretta, Jane, all of the front desk staff, the maintenance guys Toni and Charlie, and the rest of the staff that I have said hello to are kind, friendly and accessible. I look forward to Mom spending her days with friendly neighbors and staff, walking on the nearby trail, eating good food and finally being close to family once again.

The Watermark at Bellingham is a hidden "gem" in West Chester. For the family members who are not yet ready to give their independence up this is a perfect balance. They have undergone an extensive renovation that has opened up the entire facility. From the new Farm to Table Restaurant and beautiful outside spaces to simply relax and enjoy a good book or a glass of wine with friends, this facility has it all. Beautiful grounds and a beautiful renovated indoor tavern and dining room. The staff is wonderful, they really helped with the transition from lining up a transition to team to a seamless move! Revised - It is all about the almighty $ - Beware. Don't leave your loved ones unattended. Fresh air and human compassion are hard to find there. If you have an extra 13K a month lying around then certainly go for it! My sister and I met with the directors to coordinate My Mom's release. It is Medicare guidelines they have to follow to release her even though she is still very unstable and a high fall risk. It is sad, but I have changed my rating from a 1 to a 4 as they apologized for yesterday's abrupt and unprofessional meeting and are working with us to transition her home at a slightly slower pace while they perform a home inspection and schedule home nursing, PT and OT assistance and we greatly appreciate the help. The revised 4 rating is based on this last interaction and the overall care she received from the nurses, therapists and assistants. My Mom, 92 was admitted as a transfer medicare patient on 9/9/22 from a facility in MD after emergency hip surgery. It started great..... 11 days later (today) I get a call at 1:00 PM to attend a 3:00 PM discharge meeting for Saturday, 9/24? Wait What? Guess they are done collecting Mom's Medicare A, B.... Filing a formal complaint tomorrow against Joeline, Head of Physical Therapy. She is mean, unprofessional , insensitive, and basically stormed out of our "meeting" today saying I have had enough of this ..... well...... make your own judgement. Is this how you want your loved one, Mom, Dad, etc. treated????

5 STARS IS FOR CHRISTINA ONLY. It is extremely difficult to navigate the world of medicare, health care, and especially rehab facilities, and I dont think we could have done it without the help of Christina. Christina is the social worker there(she probably has a fancier title, if not she should) and the person who helped us every time there was an issue. If she wasnt doing this she would probably be dismantling bombs or maybe feeding alligators with her bare hands because she has the most calm, nothing can faze me demeanor which...well...man I wish I had that. She was incredible, I cant say enough about her, and I will leave with this..Promote this woman dagnabbit! Thanks for all your help Christina, I doubt you will ever know how much it means to families going through this..
