I am so impressed by the new renovations at Wellington. It is such a vibrant and active community with tons of activities throughout the day. There's a lovely courtyard with beautiful gardens, and an indoor swimming pool! I love that there is entertainment every Thursday night after dinner and bingo every Friday night! The food is delicious, and it is always nice to see the Dining Team and the Executive Director engaging with the residents during dinner. I highly recommend Wellington!

Recently stopped by Wellington at Hershey's Mill in search of another personal care community for my grandmother, who currently lives out of town. Derrick was absolutely amazing and toured me around his beautiful community. Had the opportunity to meet the Executive Director, which didn't occur during my other community visits. The Executive Director, Ian, was extremely knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions. Community was clean, residents and staff all happy. This is a place I can see my grandmother at! Excited to discuss next steps with Derrick and his team.

My father-in-law lived here for 2 years before he died this past week… The care and kindness offered to him throughout, but, particularly in his last three weeks, was impressive. It made us feel good to know that he was well cared for. More than that, the staff was very personable with him which was very nice. We have been very happy with Wellington. My mother-in-law is still there. I recommend Wellington at Hershey's Mill if you are considering an assisted living facility.

I love my apartment and I really love all the people in the building. The food has gone downhill, The new manager is unwilling to let the residents speak at a town hall meeting. The building and decor was so beautiful and tasteful but they have removed some of the furniture and there are a lot of empty spaces. Most of the residents feel the same way. I hope management will correct the problems.

It's good to hear you care for your residents shame your management staff aka Tony Wiggins doesn't treat female employees with that same dignity and respect. Shame on your organization

We were very excited for our parents to move into Wellington, but unfortunately that has turned into disappointment. Many of the services that we were told about on the tour are actually not available. The biggest disappointment being the cleaning service. While I can appreciate staffing shortages it has been several weeks now and there has been no financial restitution offered for the lack of cleaning. The dining has also gone down significantly since they have moved in. There are many times that they have to do the buffet because of staffing shortages. They run out of food and sides many times. Most recently my parents were sitting at a table for dinner at 5:30 and did not get served until seven and at that point some of the sides were no longer available because they ran out. Not an optimal set up for elderly people. It's unfortunate that it does not seem like things are going to work out there.

Lovely place for momma.

My mother sold the family home of 50 years and after about 4 years of trying to decide where to move, she couldn't be happier with her choice of Wellington. She has new and old friends at Wellington. She enjoys her dinners every evening and her activities in which she decides when and how often she needs to do them. She is having the time of her life. My family are so pleased for her and it is also a weight off of our minds that she is not sitting by herself in the big family home. She is safe, happy and thriving!

Wellington at Hershey's Mill Memory Care is by far the nicest, best-run memory care facility in Chester County and beyond. We have had experience with a few other assisted living facilities; and Wellington is in a entirely different class. The facility is beautiful, welcoming and clean. The staff is friendly, hard working and kind. The director, Billy, is a wonderful, welcoming individual who sets the tone for compassion, kindness and respect. Wellington is truly a home away from home.

My mother in law lived in Wellingtons assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. Now, my mother needs care and is currently in skilled nursing. While the facilities are beautifully kept and updated, I do have concerns regarding their staff. There was an incident where an aide stomped around the room throwing and kicking things while my husband was visiting his mother. A call to administration later and that aide was no longer there. She was also catheratized because they didnt want to keep helping her get to the bathroom. My mothers first night had an aide leaving her with a bed pan and no assistance after repeated calls for help. This is the risk family takes with any facility...it is unacceptable and heartbreaking, but a reality. Stay on top of your parents care and call administration with any infractions. Dont assume anything. Even the small details like dentist appointments where Wellington arranges for transport but fails to send a person along to ensure their residents have care while they are there (that happened too, with my mother in law). No matter where you take your loved one, stay vigilant and manage the details.

Wonderful caring place! So happy we moved our parents there!

Wellington is a very nice retirement community. My Mom moved there about a year after my Dad passed away and she really loves it. She has more close friends now than shes ever had in her entire life. 75 to 80% of the residents are widows, which just goes to show that a great deal of men dont make it anywhere close to how long their wives live. One unfortunate thing is that you will not be able to afford to move here unless you have a healthy retirement account. My mom pays close to $4,000 a month for a two bedroom two bath apartment. the second bedroom is more like a den because its very small. Included in that fee are 20 meals a month at the In-House Restaurant, house cleaning twice a month, all of your utilities are paid except for your cable, and there is a large free underground parking garage. They do have a lot of activities such as Bingo night, various classes, movie night, a workout facility, and various lectures & things of interest to that generation. One thing that I think is pretty good is that they make you pick up your phone by 1 p.m. every day. If you dont, they come to your apartment and check on you to make sure youre okay. Lifting the phone receiver tells them that youre doing fine.

My mom has been at Wellington for 15 years. I live almost 2 hours away from Wellington so its a challenge to visit as often as I would like. Ive looked at facilities closer to me, but nothing in the Allentown, Bethlehem area offers anything close to the care my mom gets at Wellington Court. If anyone has a problem with the care their parent is receiving at Wellington, I suggest you consider s change in your attitude and approach.

I have different opinions regarding Wellington depending on the resident and their abilities. My Mom lived in the Hall for 3.5 years and it was wonderful while she was independent. She thrived and had a great social life and even met the second man of her dreams. There are plenty of activities and the proximity to the shopping center was wonderful after having to take her car keys away. 3 months ago I had to move Mom to The Court. All in all it has been a good move which was very necessary due to Moms advancing Dementia. My only concerns at this time is that this is not a memory care facility. I do think more has to be done to involve Dementia residents in activities even if they dont think they want to do something. It is common for them to withdraw and sit in their rooms all day which my Mom has now been doing. As a whole the staff are helpful and always busy. They are respectful and kind and have been attentive to my requests. It was important for me and my family to keep Mom in the setting in which she was used to and not move her to a memory care facility but will consider this as her disease progresses. I really wish Wellington would invest in a Memory Care addition. I also think that when you have a loved one in any facility you must visit constantly because no one will care for them as you do!

Wellington was an excellent choice for my mother. It is very close to a shopping center, church, post office, and 202. They provided excellent care and customer service, and the facility was well maintained. The nurses are well trained and attentive, and the support staff is very helpful and friendly. I also liked the fact that the residents pay a monthly all inclusive monthly rent, and there are no huge down payments or transfers of assets in order to move in. The apartment was so nice that I wanted to live there, and my mother made a seamless move to the next level of care in her last weeks of life. The one area of caution with this facility is around billing. They do not have an efficient billing department, so I had to provide evidence on multiple occasions that checks had been deposited to clear mistaken over-due charges and receive credits and refunds. Two tips: 1) try to get a room close to the elevators near the dining room. A long walk to lunch and dinner will get more challenging as your parent ages. I wish my mother had traded her desire for a great view for a shorter walk. 2) Take half the furniture they want to bring. An over stuffed apartment gets difficult to move around with walkers, and the facility hallways are very, very long from the loading dock and freight elevator, which causes your movers to charge overtime fees for moving in and out. Overall, it was a very positive living experience.

The staff was always nice. I went to school and the school I was in took us to Wellington and we would clean the Windows, set the table,do Landry. It was fun I hope to go there and voulteer there again. The place was so pretty inside
