This post regards Jens Snack Shop....I have spent the past few months visiting a family relation at the Premier Health facility in Washington, Pa. Jens Snack Shop is a revelation! I have never had a bad meal. The quality is tasty great and consistent! Always worth my time and money. The food is matched by the outstanding service. I have observed staff interactions with residents of the facility and outside guests. The level of professionalism, respect, and in some cases patience humbles me. This truly is a great place to enjoy!!

Just want to extend a huge kudo to Jen and her son who together, run Jens Snack shop on the first floor. My brother-in-law was a resident for a few months and having this place to take him for lunches was really a Godsend. The food was always great and they always treated the residents with care and respect. A lot of folks don't realize the snack shop is open to the general public so if you're in the area and looking for a quick bite, we'd highly recommend them.

A wonderful 'perk' of Premier is right on the first floor of Premier, and that's Jen's Snack Shop. Jen and her son could not be any more polite to the residents and their family members. And the food is delicious! We always tried to visit at lunchtime; besides visiting our loved one, it was a definite highlight to our day. A family member of ours was at Premier with very bad leg wounds (recurring ulcers). Sandy from wound care did an excellent job of caring for his wounds. The proper care had not been given at his previous rehab facility, so his legs were "terrible" when he was admitted to Premier. Thanks to Sandy, he was able to go back to doing PT.

Thanks to all the attentive staff for helping me during my stay. The physical therapist and occupational therapy staff...I feel so much better than I thought was ever possible. Just think...I can walk up stairs again after 10 years of struggling beforehand. Also a shout out to the Snack Shop... pleasant staff and even greater food.

I'm a Family member who had a loved one at Premier Nursing Center! I want to make a shout out to the Snack Shop who in my opinion has the greatest food in the Pittsburgh area!! My Wife Phyllis who was a patent in rehab had me order her something from Jen's Snack Shop everyday because she loved the food so much! The Waitress that work there are so kind and friendly that they really make you feel like you are part of a Family! This really helped me through Phyllis stay at Premier! Jen's Snack Shop is highly recommended.

Jen’s snack shop My brother was a patient at premier & introduced me to Jen & her snack shop. It’s really a nice small sized restaurant with a great menu & delicious food! I’m so glad my brother introduced me to Jen, her staff & son Rico. My brother always preferred Jen’s menu rather than premiers. Jen has made him everything from a Big Mac to a great fish dinner. She even has wings, taco salads and much more. ( Great coffee which my brother had a coffee butler thermos) and Jen filled it for him every morning! You can also get Hot tea, soft drinks & wonderful milkshakes If you’ve never tried this great little restaurant you’re missing out! Jen and her staff are the most amazing caring people! I highly recommend eating here! ™ Well done Jen

This is for Jen’s snack shop. A few weeks ago I was visiting my Uncle and we went down to the snack shop for lunch. I didn’t know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised by one of the friendliest Welcome by Jen. She makes you feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious with very hearty portions for such an affordable price. I especially enjoyed her pasta salad and the loaded fries! The restaurant was very clean and atmosphere very cozy and friendly! My uncle didn’t want to leave! Thank you Jen for a great time and great food! Dana G

This review is only for Jen’s snack shop in premier. I was visiting on Friday to see my aunt and we ate lunch there. From the staff, to the food everything was great. The girls working there are so friendly and our food was delicious. Not to mention the place is clean. I wish I could say the same about the nursing home but it was dirty and the staff is rude. Coming into Jen’s snack shop was a breath of fresh air after walking around that place. My 5 stars are for Jen’s snack shop only!

My mother has been on one south, a memory care unit for about 2 months now. I'm very happy with her care. I have worked in nursing homes for many years, so I'm somewhat meticulous. The facility is clean and the staff are attentive to the patients. The activity director Dustin and also Bob are great. Activities are important. It's therapy and have really helped her frame of mind and attitude. The manager who runs the unit is wonderful. I have watch her with some of the residents and she is very caring and great at her job. I go often, and it's very nice that there's a snack shop to go to for a change of scenery. I would not want my mother leaving here.

I visited Jen’s Snack Shop. It was a great place for the residents to spend some time with others, have a great meal and enjoy the holiday decorations. The Snack Shop also does other things for the residents and staff. I noticed when I was there how great the owner of the snack shop knows the residents and staff. She was very helpful to residents and was very friendly. You could tell she cared as much for the residents and staff as she does having a nice, clean and welcoming Snack Shop. I will definitely visit again

My sister recently came in and was admitted on 2 East for rehab after a hospital stay. The hospital left her in shambles, but between the staff of two E. and the therapy department, she was able to regain much of her independence. My family decided to convert her to long-term where she moved over to 2 south. I cannot say enough about the 2 south staff. From the nursing manager to the nurses and the cna’s, everybody has made this transition very tolerable for not only my sister, but for our family, and has made my sister feel like she is part of a family rather than just another number. The unit is not only friendly, but the other residents are friendly and helpful, the unit is clean, the nurses take care of anything that we need, and my sister loves going to activities! Im very glad that my sister was able to come to such a wonderful facility where they actually care about the person.

Jenn’s Snack Shop is a bright spot in the day. Whether you are staff or a visitor, this place is a nice respite to come alone or with your resident to enjoy some time together. It is an awesome place with delicious food, a clean and colorful atmosphere and the sales available in the shop are a nice feature. Proceeds go the Ladies Auxiliary for special needs of the facility. Stop in for lunch if you are in the area. The specials will warm your soul!

Laundry does not get put back in my uncle's room on a timely manner if at all things get lost. His room is not cleaned regularly. Not even the bathroom. It's more than a week before he gets a shower on a regular basis. I have called and complained about these things. I have tried to call and talk to social services. They do not return my call. I have tried to talk to other people. They say that they'll get back to me they do not. They have been working on getting him a different cpap by Pap machine for 2 years now. Have not done it. And to edit. Talk to assistant director right after I wrote this and he said all this would be taken care of and I'd be getting phone calls right after this and I didn't get one phone call email or any. Of the. Above fixed.

This rating is for Jen’s Snack Shop at the Premier Washington facility. All of the food is outstanding! Chicken wings, hamburgers, tacos; she has it all. Prices are great and Jen’s service is the best!! She was about ready to close up shop one afternoon and I needed to order some Chicken Fingers for my mom. She fired the fryer back up to make them!!! I was so grateful. Many of her customers need a little help and she happily accommodates even when she is extremely busy. There are always people waiting for her to open in the morning and rushing to get in before she closes!! Great job Jen and staff! Residents and visitors greatly appreciate all you do!!

Even though I have heard bad remarks about Premier, they have been wonderful with my Mom who has Alzheimer’s. It was very stressful putting my Mom in a home but every staff member except one has been wonderful. The one I won’t say her name but she ignored me at the desk until I said something. It felt like I was bothering her and I only had a question. But overall making a decision to put a loved one in a nursing home is one of the most overwhelming, stressful decisions you have to make and Premier has been very helpful with the situation. Thank you!

Everywhere was very very kind and sociable almost everyone I ran into said hello or how are you doing. The atmosphere was great all decorated in Christmas. I felt very welcome there.

My mother has to spend a short rehab visit at Premier. The room was clean, the staff has been great, and she likes the food, so far. And she is picky. No clock in the room. A big clock on the wall, however, would be a big plus for someone who doesn't see very well, so they can see it from their bed. EDIT: after a week in here, the food and coffee were always cold, and late several times. Plus, she had the same dirty washcloth 2 days to use to clean up. And no towel. A bit disappointed with that.

First, I was greeted when I entered through the main door entrance. Next, I registered at the desk by having my temperature taken with a device that scanned my forehead. Then, I answered a few question about Covid-19 too. Finally, I was directed to the elevator and was told to turn left on the second floor to get to room 207 to visit my friend. Everyone was very nice & helpful!

I was in here for rehabilitation for about 8months, overall it was the best, nicest place than any other home I was in and that’s 4 around the Pittsburgh area. Nursing staff is excellent except one with a F starting for her first name. But fun activities ok food but it’s is getting a lot better, Miss Gina was the best nurse she was truthful and caring at the same time. And bonus is there is a gift shop that has excellent home cooked meals from Jen I highly recommend

My cousin resided at Premier Washington for 14 months before she passed away. The staff was kind and patient with her. The head nurse Nicole and all the nurses on her ward were attentive and responsive. Jen and the caf© ladies were great. The front desk staff always greeted us and after a couple of weeks recognized us. Everyone knew Lynn and treated her well. My sister and I are fairly outgoing so we engaged other residents in conversation. No one we spoke to was complaining. I judge too on the kind of rapport that develops between the staff and patients. I grant you that it’s not private duty nursing and that not everyone is getting everything they want immediately, but they are getting what they need. It’s a difficult job and, like everything else, made more difficult with COVID. God bless the folks who do that work!
