I have been very happy with the care my relative is getting at Juniper! The staff is beyond amazing, so helpful, knowledgeable, positive, and empathetic. They take such good care of them. My relative has enjoyed the community of people --residents who gather for happy hour, exercise, meals, and family events, and staff who also engage them in these events and activities. It sounds cliché, but Juniper really is a community, not a facility, and that is because of the people who work there. The energy of the place is calming. And, the grounds are spectacular, with mountain views, rolling hills, and lush gardens --and even a koi pond and waterfall. The various physical therapies and nursing services are also a tremendous boon to my relative's health and well-being. I had no idea an assisted living place could be this all around great and good for a person's health and outlook. This past weekend was a big family picnic but it really was a big party. With a great local band. And good food and cartoonist. So much fun! And, again, everyone is just so darn warm and engaging. I look forward to visiting every time. Awesome work, Juniperians!

Great caring staff and administrators. A number of daily activities to keep residents involved. A secure and safe facility. Family and friends welcome to visit with their loved one at any time. You can also call the nurse on duty at any time to inquire how your loved one is doing. Appreciate all that the staff are doing.

Juniper was our choice for Mom downsizing from home. Consider- No more maintenance, grocery shopping, snow worries or mowing! The transition from home to independent living and then to assisted living was made easy by the entire staff. The community, food, and facilities have been great and the activities help keep her engaged and active!

The entire staff and management at the skilled care side starting with Kurt were tremendous. My Mother was well cared for in a tough situation. I was impressed with how well the team worked with hospice. I have very mixed reviews with her stay at the assisted living side, the "Inn". She was there for two years and really enjoyed her stay. The daily staff seems to take good care of her. The meals and activities were excellent. However the management there was very tardy in their response time and that is if they responded at all. You can guess how impressed we were when the manager of the Inn ducked our of sight to avoid us when we went in to clean out Mom's room. Be vigilant with your loved one if they are placed there. Ask for details on plans of care and who monitors it. If that manager worked for me they would be updating their resume.

Dear Mr.Knauff, I first want to thank you for the many courtesies that you and all of those employed by Juniper Village extended to me, which enabled my recovery to go very well. You can be very proud of each and every person who had any contact with me. This certainly includes the kitchen staff, the Chef, the housekeepers, and each and every LPN, RN, PA, OT, and PT. Our case manager continued to keep us informed, especially concerning insurance. I’ve had the pleasure of watching your dedicated staff, for several weeks. The staff members at JV at Brookline are awesome! My mother needed assisted living care after her stay at Skilled Nursing. Although wanting to be in her own home, she realized it was no longer safe for her to be there by herself. Mom had negative thoughts about assisted living initially but has completely changed her mind mostly due to the care she receives at JV. She is now content there & has established a wonderful relationship with a staff member who calls my mom her buddy. The facility is beautiful & clean & the staff is super helpful, especially during this time of the pandemic. They go out of their way to make the residents comfortable & to make up for the lack of family time. I highly recommend JV at Brookline if assisted living is required for a loved one.

I cant say enough positive things about Juniper Village. My parents have received excellent care from the moment they arrived in July 2018. They enjoy the view from their bay window into the lovely courtyard. They love watching the many birds who visit their three feeders. They even have a little garden plot and our tomatoes are thriving. My parents enjoy the beautiful grounds, healthy meals, and friendly staff. Every person on the Juniper Village team is professional and caring. No one is too busy to answer an email or make a phone call. In June my parents celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. The technology staff worked closely with me to arrange a surprise Zoom meeting with relatives all over the country from California and Colorado to Georgia and North Carolina. They loved it. I live nearby and visit my folks often. They have always been in a first or ground floor apt where I can visit them in person or outside the window. When a health problem arises, the nursing staff immediately respond and consult with doctors. The security buzzer, pendant that my parents have provides peace of mind that my loved ones are cared for 24, 7 and 365. That means the world to me. Recently, the world has faced a global pandemic. The manner in which Juniper has responded to this unprecedented situation has exceeded all of my expectations. Their communications have been thorough and prompt; their explanations have been clear and reassuring. The safety precautions have been thorough. Every day I receive an email update on COVID status in the community with helpful information. To date, they have not had one case of the virus. Over the summer, Juniper made the effort to arrange outside visits with family, while taking all necessary precautions. They didnt have to do this extra work but they did. Although I cant hug them (yet), its wonderful to visit my folks outside in the open air. My truly appreciate all of the excellent care that our beloved parents have received at Juniper Village. I worked here at Juniper village for a short time. as an employee there I enjoyed the job very much and the people there are some of the best co-workers that I have ever got the chance to work with. I found it to be a very nice work environment theres always something going on for the residence and the employees and overall I would have to say it was a great experience and I was fortunate to be able to have it. Anyone who gets the opportunity to visit or work or live here should definitely give it a go.

Everyone on staff does their part to make the resident and their extended family feel like part of the Juniper family. Beyond the clean, inviting, and comfortable living space, theres a warmth throughout that feels genuine and good. Weve been happy with our choice for mom since day one and she considers Juniper at Brookline her happy, comfortable home. Thats really comforting to us - and a relief too; we know she gets care we could not provide in our home or where she had been living. A good move all around!

Juniper Village and everyone who works there are wonderful! My Mom was lucky enough to spend many years in the Memory Care unit and I became lifelong friends with many of the staff at all of the buildings. I am a member of the State College Walk to End Alzheimers committee and the Juniper community has been wonderful to us. Their Assisted Living facility holds many fundraisers and interesting lectures. Both their residents AND the community enjoy these events! They are a valuable asset to the Centre Region.
