Sharing 22 years of experiences visiting a loved one weekly at Foxdale Village who transitioned after years in a cottage to assisted living at Foxdale. While at first glance Foxdale may seem large in comparison to other similar places in the area, its charming and comfortable — truly a quaint village. Thinking of so many experiences interacting with residents and the many layers of employees sharing meals, participating in activities and programs and the facilities amenities and beautifully maintained grounds — there really is so much to choose from weekly. I enjoyed watching years of friendships and employee interactions while visiting. Its a very caring environment. I know my loved one was very happy living at Foxdale for more than 20 years and appreciated the care received. The wellness care exceptional. The thoughtfulness for resident experiences amazing. Always seemed like a very integrative team of people from the employees to the residents at all hours. A really great community in the middle of State College.

My mother Helen Duff Thompson has been living atFoxdale Village since 2006! She had her own cottage, lived in Darlington for a couple of years and is now in Anthony House. She is happy and receives the very best care! We just spent part of Christmas Day with her and had very nice dinner in the cafe! The staff is the best--both professional and friendly! They really care about the residents! Thank you Foxdale Village!!

I think they should not have gotten rid of their senior housekeeping staff. They were very carring people that respected the residents. What a same to do that to such dedicated employees

My father stayed there for five years plus in the memory unit. Marshall the administrator was fantastic to deal with . He is a prince. All the staff in the memory unit are angles. Doing what they have to do to take care of these adults that are like children is amazing, all at the same time as giving the residents respect. The facility's are nice. These places are never plan A, at least for the memory unit, but if you have to go, this place did a great job.
