Mifflin Court hits the sweet spot - very good care and amenities at a very modest cost. My mother has had no complaints and I have had no complaints. The staff is attentive. The building and rooms are well kept. The food is good. Management is always helpful. It is a very pleasant place to be.

My father-in-law has gotten great care at Mifflin Court. The facility is always clean and orderly. The staff is friendly and helpful. My father-in-law tells us that the food is good. We feel well assured that he is safe and in good hands. The nursing staff is always available if you have concerns or questions. We have always felt welcomed at our visits and have come to know some of the staff. We would definitely recommend Mifflin Court for your loved one who needs an assisted living facility.

So far I feel the employees at Mifflin Court are doing a great job. I have no complaints. Getting my brother in and situated was very easy. Everyone was very helpful.

The staff at Mifflin Court are always so pleasant and efficient every time I call or stop in. The activities staff go above and beyond to keep their residents engaged. The food is so tasty, like a home cooked meal including desserts! The bird cage is a wonderful asset to building in the main common area. I enjoy seeing the residents active with puzzles in the living room, watching the fish tank, engaged in the activity room, exercising in therapy, and playing bingo in the dining room! I would recommend this community to any of my friends and family!

When Father passed in September 2018, I knew Mother needed daily care. I found her a home at an independent Sr. Living Facility close to my work who offered some assistance with her care. Little did I know that within two years, that facility would recommend that our Mother be moved to memory care, due to mental decline, in my opinion, due to Covid-19 lockouts. Prior to COVID, my siblings and I would see her on a rotating basis daily, 7 days a week! That came to a screeching halt. I knew I needed to find a new home for her that would fit her needs and my standards. Having grown up in the Millmont area of Reading, I always knew Mifflin Court existed and I knew families who had loved ones there who gave it the thumbs up. I would pass it every day to and from work. Then just last year I noticed the sign out front now offering memory support. At that point, once I got the news from the Sr. Living Facility regarding her mental decline, it was a no brainer and after I visited and spoke with the Director of Admissions, Melissa, thoroughly read through all the information provided to me, I knew this was the right fit for Mother. I did visit two other facilities in the Reading area but my heart was drawn to Mifflin. With the assistance of the Melissa, she and I coordinated every step of the moving in process together prior to Mother arriving. Then on August 27, 2020, I arrived with Mother , moving her in during the COVID-19 pandemic. Having little to no personal contact with her now, my experience to date with Mifflin Court Memory Support Unit has been nothing but exemplary. The communication from Executive Staff to Support Staff to me has been outstanding. Weekly Zoom conferences for those who want to stay in the know. Weekly emails with other news happening at the facility. I cant wait to get my hands on each of the loving staff, to hug and thank them personally for all they have done thus far and are continuing to do for Mother. Even more so, I cant wait to visit Mother again on a daily basis when restrictions are finally lifted, hopefully in the very near future. In the meantime, I know she is in good hands, can zoom or speak with her whenever we (myself and my siblings) want to. God is good and I prayed he would help me find the best place for her....and I did...at Mifflin Court Senior Living Community, Personal Care and Memory Support. As a hearing care professional, I get into a lot of retirement homes on a regular basis, and it's very easy to tell the good from the not so good. I can tell you that Mifflin Court is absolutely top notch from the varying levels of care, all the way to the smiling faces that you are greeted with when walking in the door! I would not hesitate for one second if I was needing to find a place for a loved one. (Also, they have regular, scheduled hearing aid clean & checks for ALL residents!)

Walnut Village is absolutely gorgeous! The individuals that live here are so very friendly and welcoming. I have enjoyed countless conversations with some of the residents. They have so many activities going on it makes me jealous. Judy and her team really know how to put together the best outings and theme parties!

My mother has been a resident of Mifflin Court for 1 1/2 years. She has adjusted well to her new home thanks in large part to the caring staff. This includes the receptionists, servers, activities workers, medical staff, administrators, housekeeping and transport workers. The fact that there is hardly any turnover along with the size of the facility creates a consistent sense of family. The friendliness and willingness to help with family members is excellent. The physical layout of the building, lots of windows and natural light, is well done. The number and variety of activities helps enrich the residents' daily routines along with good restaurant level meals. Finally, as a family caregiver, it is very reassuring to hear my mother say numerous times that she is happy to have Mifflin Court as her new home.

My 94 year old Nana moved in about a year ago and she loves it and so does the family! It was an adjustment for her considering she lived in Maryland for the last 50+ years, but the staff at Mifflin Court made her feel very welcome and eased the transition. They have lots of daily activities for the residence, the rooms are spacious and kept clean and the food is decent. My brother and I join our Nana for lunch every other week and we never have any complaints.
