We had a joyous time with Mrs. E. JONES, visiting with her, singing gospel hymns and playing the piano in the lobby. Her spirits were lifted and so were ours, as we witnessed a real spiritual and physical rejuvenation. We plan to return and share the same spirit of love with her and others as well. We were impressed with the overall receptivity and attentiveness of the staff. Blessing and love to one and all at The Remington.

Went to visit and they were eating lunch. He was having a ham sandwich and chips. That’s what he wanted. Fluffy cream pie for dessert. Lots of friendly helpers checking on each table, giving gentle prompts as needed. Afterwards they were going to have some entertainment. Lots of activity. One of the nicest facilities he has ever been in. Friendly check-in.

The Remington held a Christmas party for the residents and their families , and they a great job! The entertainment was excellent, the Cookie Table was fantastic, and Santa came too! Such fun!!

My sister Naomi has been at this residence since July of 2021. She was moved to memory care later for her safety. They treat her with love and care. Sometimes things may go wrong but always rectified. I have found over the years how hard it is caring for a dementia patient. The staff is always listening to any of my concerns. Domenic Marasco Sr.

My Uncle has been a resident for 5 years. He always tells us, they take pretty good care of me here. In the last year, he moved from assisted living to Memory Care. The staff at Remington made the move quickly, making sure there was as little disruption as possible. My mom came to Remington from another AL nearby. She is happy and adjusting so nicely at Remington. The workers are happy and very attentive. The other residents are friendly. I enjoy going there. My mom’s apartment’ is near the dining room. The food is great- try the BLT! The activities are allot of fun. Happy Hour w live music from Beach boys to Violinist. Brenda, Justine, Kadie do a wonderful job. Their dedication shows. It is a well managed AL- Brenda sends out a weekly email updating us families on renovations, new menus, outings. Every department contributes to the newsletter style email. My mom’s personality is coming back as she lived alone but had companions at home. She said that me, my brother and husband Tom made a great decision w Remington!

My Mother has Alzheimer’s and the assisted memory care facility that she was formerly living in turned into a nightmare of neglect. The Remington has been an ABSOLUTE BLESSING for her and our family. They are a well-oiled machine of care that you immediately sense as soon as you walk into the door. The residents are smiling and there are so many fun activities/events. Their caregivers are kind and always have suggestions that will improve your loved one’s quality of life. Every day they go up and beyond trying to keep my Mother’s dignity. I like to call them Mom’s Angels. They are a Dream Team. Every single staff member. My only regret is not bringing Mom to The Remington sooner.

My father was a resident on the Memory Care Unit at Anthology of McCandless from June of 2020 until March of 2022. The staff went above and beyond from the beginning, as my dad moved in during the height of the pandemic. I was constantly informed about my dad's activities, health needs, and general updates. Even during times of being unable to visit due to Covid, every opportunity was offered to families including Facetime and window visits. The staff was loving and caring, having nicknames for my dad and being able to get him to smile and respond even during his toughest moments. They did the same for me and truly became like family to me as I navigated the ups and downs of a disease that truly affects the entire family unit. I highly recommend Anthology of McCandless and could not have imagined the last 2 years without them for both my dad and me as well!

Moved our mother to the Memory Care Unit the end of October. We had an incredible meal with mom for lunch that day. Her room was very nice with all new furniture. The staff could not have nicer greeting us, meeting our needs to settle our mom, and assisting mom. Her needs have been met since going to Anthology. We get updates, usually weekly, from someone in a leadership role. The staff are all very accommodating to the needs of the residents as well as their families. If your loved needs long term care, you owe it to yourself to look into Anthology.
