The staff is caring everyone is really nice all you have to do is ask for something and they're more than willing to try and accommodate. In the very beginning the first day that my dad was there there was definitely some Growing Pains to get things done correctly but once you spoke to people about it everything fell in . They've been taking excellent care of my dad. And on a side note the food there is actually pretty decent and if you don't like what you picked on the menu if you just ask they'll get you something else. Suggestion on Sundays when they give you the menu you need to pick out your choices for the whole week which sometimes can be a little hard to remember what you actually ordered per day for each meal if you have a phone take a picture of it or if not then you can always ask them and they'll make a photocopy of it

I was visiting my cousin at the Pines. She loves all the staff. The therapists have helped her out a lot. The only thing she is not completely happy with is the food.

I want to start off this review by saying the nursing staff were amazing, the staff all knew my loved ones name, were very attentive, and personable. The lady at the front desk was extremely nice. They are the only reason why I'm giving the facility 2 stars. The woman in the office, who I will not name, is a liar who wouldn't know HIPAA ruling if a book about it smacked her in the face. First off, when I questioned her on why my loved one was there so long she told me "Medicare wants them here", which I knew was a straight up lie. I have worked in Insurance Collections and Patient Follow up for 13 years, insurance companies do not "want" patient's in facilities longer than absolutely necessary. My loved one ended up being here for 2 months and every time we talked to the patient advocate she would say "Your loved one needs to be here longer. Just give us time". She refused to talk to me, I had someone assisting me who is older and a bit wiser, but that's all this person was doing; ASSISTING me. The patient advocate would call this person for decision making, meetings, information. She would only call me when this assistant of mine wouldn't answer the phone or told her to call me WHICH the advocate was told MULTIPLE TIMES to call ME, the next of kin. She flat out refused to call me in the last meeting we had where the advocate stated "just give us time". My assistant told the advocate "I am not the decision maker here, you need to call Danni" the advocate said "I will call you" and this went back and forth between them, with me sitting right there as if I wasn't, about 4 times before my assistant just shrugged her off. We are now receiving an appeal request in the mail for denied days that I have been purposely ignoring because of the advocate constantly saying "Medicare" wanted my loved one there. This is not up to us, the patient, to appeal. Had my loved one come home when I wanted them to, there would not be days to appeal but, "Medicare wanted them there". When the 4th or 5th letter was not returned the advocate decided to call my assistant and lie to them and tell them that we never signed discharge paperwork and that she was sending it to us in the mail and that we had to sign it and send it back. We signed discharge paperwork, the incredible nurses aid on hand the day my loved one was discharged made sure we signed it. I got the "discharge paperwork" in the mail today and it's another appeal request for the days denied by Medicare. But "Medicare wants them there". If you are younger, taking care of an elder, do not expect the patient advocate to have any respect for you. It is very clear she is only trying to make as much money as possible for the facility and she will lie through her teeth to get what she wants. My loved one will never set foot in The Pines again, which is an absolute shame because, again, the nursing staff were absolutely amazing but when the people actually pulling the strings only see you as dollar signs, the care isn't even worth it.

Great staff, great service, great therapy. I highly recommend The Pines to get you or your loved ones back on their feet. My sister's care and rehab routine helped us feel confident that we chose the right place. Special thanks to Priscilla and Sheldon for making Mary feel like she was their top priority. Did I mention how clean it is? She even enjoyed the meals!!!
