Germantown Home is the gold standard of what quality of life in a nursing home should be like! The staff is attentive, caring, and engaging. My sister in law constantly tells me how she loves being there. Everyone from the Kimberly, the Admissions director, Keisha at the front desk, Theresa at the nurses station, the nurses and the CNA's have been wonderful! The rooms are bright and the residents are out and about engaging in wonderful activities with each other. Such a blessing!!!

Germantown Home is a neighborhood gem tucked in behind the hustle and bustle of Germantown Avenue. The lobby mural celebrates the true culture of its patients, residents, staff and the community it supports. I work regularly with the social services team at Germantown Home as they prepare patient's return to home after rehabilitation. I am impressed with the detail provided to me to ensure a smooth transition and more so the genuine care for the patient's well-being even after they leave Germantown Home. Compassion shows.

I have worked here for 22 years, and if the lord wills it I will be here for more years to come. I find it to be a great place to work. No matter we're you go and what you do, it is all up to you. I have been A care nurse, unit clerk and now LPN. For the most part the staff cares for the residents. No place is perfect in order to make change we must all be the change that is needed.

We have the best TR Department in the whole world! The administrator is a real angel. The nursing staff are sweethearts and the scheduling coordinator is a beauty queen. Dietary cooks with love and house keeping loves to do their work.

Having worked many years in non-medical home care there have been several times that I needed to refer an individual for long term care or for rehabilitative services. Germantown Home has never let me down. Families have consistently commented on how friendly the staff is, the cleanliness of their room, the building; and, even how good the food is! (you don't hear that often!) One client needed a secure dementia unit and his daughter was thrilled at the staff interaction with her dad. From the activities to the kindness of the staff. I highly recommend Germantown Home for anyone needing nursing level long term care or rehab.

My MIL who has Alzheimer's has been in this facility for a few years & overall they have been taking excellent care of her. Since covid, you now can't just walk in and see your loved one, you have to call and make an appointment which is fine. But, it has been way too many times where either myself or my husband have called up here, spoke to one of the nurses, told them what day we wanted to see my MIL, give them her name and what floor she's located on, get there on the day & time to see my MIL then be told "oh you're not on the list for today", then we have to leave & come back another day to see her. This facility definitely have a lack of communication here, so for this reason I'm giving 3 stars.

I worked this facility for almost 4 years. It is a great place to meet some amazing people. BE CAREFUL!!! The DON is bio polar and very unprofessional. They have a patient who touches all over everyone. When you tell her to sit down they view that as " VERBAL ABUSE ." But they do NOTHING to protect the rights of the other patients. The DON IS VERY HOOD!! She is something. She goes upstairs asking someone "DID YOU HEAR ABOUT YOUR GIRL?" How are you the DON of a building gossiping about the staff members! Unprofessional! HR appears to be nice, but she will flip on you so fast and speak to you in a demeaning manner and be very disrespectful. Like your her child. Tbey take these patients money every month and don't provide any resources to help them with what they need. Half of the time we didnt have soap or even gloves to provide care. This place has definitely changed . JUST BE CAREFUL!

I just started working here and i love it already everyone is so nice and understanding and everyone love the residents and there always well kept care of i would recommend for anyone to work here and to bring there relatives germantown home is a great place to be they have everything for the residents i love it. Thats why im going back to school for nursing so i can stay longer and help more with the residents.
