They really care. It’s a beautiful well kept facility on beautiful grounds. I’m so comfortable knowing she is truly cared about. My parents moved into Point Pleasant in April and they could not be happier. I watched them decline for many years and now they are non stop and living their lives to the fullest. The apartments are beautiful and the staff is superb. I am now volunteering there to teach a drumming class and it is the greatest joy in my life to see everyone so happy. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. My Mom and Dad are both very happy at Point Pleasant. They keep everything very clean. They care and try to make their residents comfortable and happy. Heather, the administrator could not be any more accommodating, she is kind and makes sure my parents are happy. All the staff at Point Pleasant are very kind. Gallagher is very helpful in helping my parents with their everyday needs and things they may need help with. I am a close relative of one of your residents, and am appalled at your disregard for the dignity of these people. After living 80+ years through the depression with next to nothing, and building from scratch their life savings to pay the exorbitant amount you ask to live there, given the meager tasteless thrown together food you offer at meals is absolutely criminal. I am disgusted by the greed of holding out on hiring a decent chef to produce good meals for what could and should be the highlight of their day. I am told that you are constantly out of the most basic food items and will get anyone who is willing to cook, even waiters who have no experience cooking. This is totally unacceptable, and you should be ashamed. I am retired, have plenty of time to pursue this, and will take further action unless this issue is resolved immediately. My mom and dad moved to Point Pleasant a few months ago, and I could not be more satisfied and pleased with their new home. The care and support they have received is remarkable. The facility is clean and comfortable. Everyone who works there makes sure that my mom and dad are safe and healthy and happy and looked after and well-cared for. It's very tough when you have to move your parents out of their home and into an assisted living facility, especially when you live out of state. But I am confident that my parents are in an excellent home now. I really appreciate all of the time and care that they receive from Point Pleasant.

The food provided is good quality and a nice variety. He also has the ability to order special requests. They staff is very helpful and friendly. I love here but not the food. Who stole the chef? Lunch is the best meal. Dinner is not. Nice snack bar open to all. This is not a cheap place. 3000/mo plus 3000 security...the place is well appointed and friendly to older folks. The elevator is good. Holiday meals are decent. Come see what YOU think.

I highly recommend Point Pleasant for independent senior living. My parents became residents there just 2 weeks ago, and even though it is independent living, I feel like they are well taken care of and watched over. Each resident gets a medic alert necklace. Every employee goes out of their way to get to know them. Heather, the director, was wonderful explaining the costs and benefits of residing there. Her door is always open and she is always interacting with residents as well as with their family members. She really knows her residents. The move in process was very smooth. There are no long term contracts which eased my parents’ minds as transitioning from their home of 40 plus years was a very difficult decision. The entire staff at Point Pleasant could not have done more to make this transition easier.

Have a family member who has lived here for over three years now. This was a clear choice among the area communities due to the amount of activity and interaction that seems to be fairly constant among the residents. There are many services available for residents to take advantage of, and Sandy, one of the managers, is absolutely the BEST! UPDATED - our family member has been a resident now for (I think) 8+ years. I wouldn’t change a word above. Same 5 stars. Would give a 6th if I could. A lot of the same staff still around, and they’ve only gotten better with services offered. Especially going above and beyond in caring for their residents to manage through the current Covid-19 pandemic. This group is fantastic.

If you are looking for carefree living then Point Pleasant Retirement Community is a great choice. The food is top notch, prepared by a chef who really cares about serving nutritious and tasty meals. There are also many amenities in this community. Perhaps the most impressive is their activities. The activities director has a very full calendar each month which means there is something for everyone. Since Covid has made it a bit challenging to get together for events she does hallway bingo and even has story time and comedy routines over the PA system. I would highly recommend Point Pleasant.

My father is a new resident and our experience thus far has been great. The Sales Manager kept in touch with me regularly during the nearly two years it took for my father to agree to move out of the rural home in another state where he lived alone. The Executive Director and Sales Manager answered the many questions we had while preparing to move him and made the process seamless. Desk staff are knowledgeable and respectful and assisted as needed with the actual move-in process. Food has been great. (Even my hard-to-please father agrees!). Housekeeping staff went out of their way to introduce themselves and make sure he was comfortable with how they would service his room. Facility is extremely clean and comfortable, but as is always the case, it’s people who make the difference and I can’t say enough good about the staff at Point Pleasant. Just wish he had moved there sooner.

Because I, too, am in the business of housing older residents, I wanted only the best for Mom. At first, my family accused me of showing favoritism because I'd been professional colleagues of the management staff for many years. But after my family had all visited Point Pleasant, they realized that my professional opinion of Point Pleasant, and my personal opinion , were one in the same. And, ALL of the family agreed that this was the best place for her. Since then, I have referred two of my dear friends and their parents to Point Pleasant. Both families moved in. Not sure where to begin as there are so many good and positive things to say about this facility and the entire staff. My mother is 95 years old and has been living there for a few years and I wish I would have moved her here sooner! EVERYONE from the director on down goes above and beyond with a great attitude to ensure a daily positive experience. In addition to the building being very well maintained, they offer a lot of activities, services, entertainment, etc. to keep the tenants engaged and social. Even throughout the Pandemic, they were innovative with social distancing/safe things to keep everyone engaged. Before and during the Pandemic they've done a great job of communicating/updating family members of any changes that have or will occur. If you have a loved one looking for independent living that provides a lot of extras, I highly recommend you check this place out.

I recently had an immediate need to find an independent living apartment for my 90-year-old father. A close friend remembered that a few years ago, she had been to Point Pleasant for lunch in the dining hall with a friend who lived there. She remembered that the food was wonderful, and that the atmosphere reminded her of a really nice hotel. I selected Point Pleasant based on her recommendation, and without knowing much more about the place. It turned out to be a great decision. The sales director, Jil, was really kind and held an apartment for my Dad while he had repeated setbacks that kept him in the hospital longer than expected. Once he moved in, our experience was just as wonderful with the rest of the staff, including everyone that works at the front desk, the people that do the cleaning services, the gentleman who provides maintenance services, and the director, Heather. And, my friend was right about the food. My Dad REALLY likes the food. Everyone has been going above and beyond to help my father with this difficult transition moving from his house where he lived for 60 years. My Dad is so comfortable here, that he has even mistakenly called it "his vacation". Within 24 hours of starting home health care services with an affiliated company, we received feedback from them that my Dad's needs were not a good fit for the services they provide. So, I had to very quickly start from scratch to find another home health care company. Although it was not their responsibility, some of the staff reached out to their contacts at other home health care providers, and we were able to start services from another exceptional company within a week. The people that work here are extremely dedicated to the well-being of their residents. It honestly feels like family. They are genuinely concerned and so willing to help with any unexpected hurdle that comes our way. I feel so lucky to have found them.

When my dad passed away three years ago we did not want our Mom to live alone. She was hesitant to leave her home. She moved into Point Pleasant and her new life's journey began. She was reunited with old friends and made many new friends. The residents as well as the staff became her "second family" and Point Pleasant became her "home." Mom loves her new home so much that she invited three of her friends to move in and they became a part of the "family." The Team at Point Pleasant go above and beyond for their residents. They are mindful and respectful of their needs. Throughout this pandemic they have kept the residents safe and happy! We are very blessed that our Mom is a part of their "second family."

My mom has been a resident of Point Pleasant for over 3 years. The staff is caring, kind and helpful. The facility is clean, well maintained and decorated nicely. An added bonus it that they maintain a pet friendly atmosphere that allowed my mom the keep her pet cat. Mom is happy and has made many new friends. My sister & I heard wonderful things about Point Pleasant. We were trying to find the perfect place for our mom since she has early dementia. When we went in for the initial tour with our mom (she was not happy about moving to independent living) we didn't know what to expect from our mom. Within 10-15 minutes of touring this beautiful facility and meeting the employees as well as the residents living there.....my mom was smiling. She was introducing herself to the residents that welcomed her. Jill, who was our tour guide, answered all her questions and was so kind & patient. By the time we were done, my mom was ready to sign a contract to hold an apartment. We had arrangements for her to tour another facility, as well, but she was positive this was the place for her. Point Pleasant has taken the bull by the horns with Covid and kept the residents safe from the few that contracted it while allowing them to still leave their rooms, but practice social distancing. . It is currently 100% Covid free. That says a lot. Two months into this, my mom has settled in and is happy. She is meeting friends. Walking a mile a day around the beautiful facility and feeling safe and at home. My sister & I are so relieved and feel so comfortable with her living facility. Thank you Point Pleasant. My closest friend has been at Pt Pleasant since shortly after opening. When it was time for Mom to find a place, I didn't hesitate in suggesting she go there. During her almost 4 years living there and my friend's contining time there, staff and personnel have all been exceptionally friendly and responsive. Response to COVID was strict, but resulted in very few cases and so was warranted. The premises are spotless, the atmosphere warm and welcoming. Activities for all levels were plentiful (pre-pandemic).

The facilities and programs are what we all tend to look at when evaluating a place for a our loved ones to reside. No doubt Point Pleasant provides a comfortable living space that's always spotless. When you look at the scheduled programs you are aware that there is something to satisfy anyone's needs. It's not till you live there for a time or get a chance to talk to a resident who has been there for a while and you'll know what really is the most important resource. It's the staff that pours their heart into caring for the residents. My mother, who has resided there for over 5 years, always marvels at how clean everything is kept and thankful for the care they give in providing meals. It's comforting to me to know she is cared for in everyway possible. They have also done a near miraculous job during the pandemic to stay safe themselves and keep their residents safe. I received a call from my 90 year old Father last week. He has been living in an apartment complex near me for the past 30 years. There was a landslide behind his building and all residents were told that they had to evacuate and move within 5 days. He was very upset and scared because I have not been able to spend much time with him due to COVID-19. I have a major health issue myself and am at high risk. We had visited Point Pleasant a couple of years ago, but my Dad did not feel at the time that he was ready for a retirement home. Back then, I had toured at least 8 homes looking for one that I felt was clean and protective. I really liked Point Pleasant and thought that he would be safe there. I immediately called Jil Miller at Point Pleasant in North Versailles, PA. She was so kind and caring and thoughtful. She worked with me to find the right apartment for my Dad, had the place painted and cleaned, and after we signed the papers, I also had the keys to begin moving him. I could never have managed this chaos in 5 days without her help. Just keeping my Dad calm was difficult. My Dad moved in yesterday and Jil was there. My Dad called me at least 5 times last night just to tell me how much he loved the place. I had trouble with him eating at regular times on his own, but yesterday, he ate every meal and loved all of the food. When I spoke with him last night, he said "This is the perfect place for me"! At 90 years old, I was not sure that he would even make the transition. Thankfully, he is safe and happy! I have a new sense of peace that he is being cared for, which makes my life easier with my disease. Words can NEVER express my gratitude and thanks for Jil and the help that she provided! Everyone there treated us with respect and kindness, and they all worked hard to make this move successful and my Dad comfortable!. Thank you very much! I hope you will recognize Jil. She is really wonderful!

I have visited friends at Point Pleasant many times and also attended some of their social events. It is always a cheery and happy experience. The people living there are happy and fulfilled. The staff work very hard to appease everyone. They have Friday happy hours and great crafts and activities. The outdoor space is lovely to gather on and have picnics.
