April 2024
I lived 1 1/2 miles up the road and watched Harmony at Hershey being built. Finally this past August I decided to check it out, and less than 2 weeks later I was moved in. I tell everyone I feel like I'm on vacation on a cruise ship without water. Meals are prepared for me and my apartment is cleaned weekly. The entertainment is excellent with all types of performances. And then we have an amazing variety of activities: exercise classes, Tai Chi, Drum Fit, movies in our own theater, country line dancing, balloon volleyball, canvas painting, jewelry making, all types of arts and crafts, bingo, card games, Mahjong, worship services, shopping, luncheon and other van outings, cooking classes, Happy Hour and the list goes on and on. I loved holding the baby kangaroos, and I'm looking forward to having the baby goats visit in June. My great grandchildren had good times at the Halloween Trunk or Treat and the Easter Egg Hunt. They always love visiting here and meeting my friends. I am so much more active than I have been in years. The staff and residents are very friendly and I have made many new friends. I never realized living in a senior community could be so enjoyable and fulfilling.

Caring
I visited Harmony at Hershey. It is a beautiful, beautiful community. It's brand new. They had it designed so that it would look more like a hotel than a long-term care facility. The residents were all very engaged and very happy. It was Chinese New Year, so they were doing a themed dinner. The rooms were gorgeous. This was the most expensive of the ones I visited. The food smelled wonderful while I was there. They have a nice movie theater. The dining room was gorgeous. They had a pub where they had happy hour. They had a nice fitness center and a library. They have a beauty salon. Everybody was very happy. The staff all seemed to be very positive and very personable. I was impressed with what they were doing with them in the memory care section. It's extremely clean.

This is the third assisted living home mom has been in and it is by far the best! Mom has never been more engaged! The staff is by far the most professional and caring.

I am very happy with the care my mother is receiving at Harmony of Hershey. Yes, the facility is new and clean, but the care givers and staff are exceptional and very accommodating. My thanks to the personal care staff on the second floor! Thanks to them they engage my mother in all activities, she is well adjusted, happy, and well cared for.
