So much has happened since my last review. No follow through with rules. Residents do as they please because they know nothing will happen to them. Long wait time to be served in dining room and housekeeping has gone down. (At least on third floor.) We are called independent living but we are more assisted living now. Not what I wanted.

Whispering Oaks is a very nice place to live. They provide your meals, light house keeping and entertainment. A choose of different room sizes to fit your personal needs. The staff is very accommodating and have the open door policies. My only issues are the always changing dinning room servers and house keepers. This is no reflection on management but the work issues people have today. I would like to see the meals stay true to what the menu states and less rice and noodles. With all that being stated I enjoy living here and recommend Whispering Oaks to anyone looking for a new home.

Sorry to be so late. When I visited my sister there in 2019 I appreciated being allowed to stay in her room while visiting from out of state. Now that she is in a nursing home I would have to have the funds to go see her because I live in Nevada. It was obvious that the staff care about the residents and are willing to assist in every way. My cousin and I had excellent food and such a good variety while cooking for such a large amount of people for three meals a day and trying to keep everyone happy. The only complaint that I have is when I mailed my sister a package in 2020 and a person at your facility signed for it. She has not ever recieved the kaftan and jewelry which was in the package send really early around Christmas. Other than the one incident I would have given you a 4 of 5 rating.

My mom has been living here for 4 years. The staff is very caring and helps her out a lot. She likes living here, however, the 3 star rating is for the price increases each year ( she got a $29 increase in income, and the rent for this year went up $100), manager staff is always changing (sad to see Preston leave as well as the last manager), and now they are limiting the food (even though there was a price increase). Every year when the rent increases, my mom really has a hard time trying to come up with the difference. She is almost at the point where she wont be able to make up the cost of the rate increase. I would hate to move her because shes almost 97 years old, but I may have to. 🙁

I have been managing here for close to 2 years. Honored to have such a caring staff who go above and beyond for each resident. Even more, Im honored to have great residents, who make our community a true COMMUNITY. They do life together and look out for each other. Every resident has a story deserving to be told and we want to hear that story at Whispering Oaks.

My father has been a resident for nearly a year and couldnt be happier! The management, staff and accommodations are the best we found in the area after an exhaustive search. I cant imagine a better living situation for him!

I have the previledge to meet the Co-Manager Cindy and Jim Kelly They are both very nice people the way they interact with the resident is First Class!!! I am a guest during lunch time and i cant help but noticed the good ambiance of this place..I tasted the food with is very very good!! You are trully blessed to have such a Co-Managers like them..
