My husband (elderly) was recently in the hospital with a serious condition that resulted in weakness and significant weight loss that required a feeding tube. The hospital was ready to discharge him to home, which I was not comfortable with. Our PCP and I decided that additional medical care and therapy was needed, so my husband was discharged from the hospital to Sarah Reed Senior Living. The Admissions Coordinator took immediate action to ensure my husband's transfer would not encounter any issues. Upon arrival at Sarah Reed, ALL aspects of my husband's care were met and EXCEEDED the care he received while in the hospital! When it was time to discharge my husband home from Sarah Reed, ALL of the necessary medications and supplies needed for my husband's condition were ready and waiting for him at our home. Sarah Reed also ensured further follow-up attention with visiting nurses and therapists to follow my husband's progress at home. He is now home and doing VERY well, thanks to Sarah Reed's exemplary staff!!!

I have been working at Sarah Reed Senior Living for six years. My grandmother was a resident in skilled nursing for a few months before her passing in 2018. I fell in love with the facility and the compassionate care the staff provide to the residents. I started out as a receptionist and I now work as a social worker. I love the interaction I get to have with the residents. I enjoy coming to work every day knowing I get to make a difference as a social worker in long term care.

A great organization with an awesome staff. Many of their employees have been there for 10, 20, even 30 years. Their facilities are always clean and the employees are attentive and friendly.

Sarah Reed is a great place to work. I began my career here in 2005 as a personal care aide, they provided the opportunity for me to grow in nursing by sending me to obtain my CNA and then assisted with tuition for me to become an RN. I left for a few years to gain hospital experience as a nurse but decided it was time to come back home. My family and I also entrusted Sarah Reed with the care of my grandmother in her last days before her passing in 2018. Everyone was so helpful and compassionate, they showed her love as if she was their grandmother too. My family and I are forever grateful and I'm happy to be part of such a great team!

My mom was fortunate enough 3 yrs. ago to find an independent living efficiency apartment at Sarah Reed. Since that time her vision has become increasingly worse. Moving to SR has been a good decision for her. For the most part, it is one of the best facilities of it's kind here in Erie. Staff is friendly & accommodating. The building is clean & outdoor areas are kept very well & beautiful in the summer. Dining, whether at the dining room or in resident's apartment, is a pleasant part of the day. Any problem/question family may have is always answered in a timely manner. Covid cases have been low & dealt with efficiently. If you have to choose or your loved one can make their own decision, SR is THE choice. Thank you to all staff there for what you do every day!

I have been an aide for over 30 years. I've worked at a few places, this is the best, hands down. Pay scale has changed for the better, you have supplies to work with, the food seems very appealing, the facility is beautiful and for the most part, people work together and my residents are awesome.
