I just moved my father in law in today. I am amazed at the hospitality of the staff. Michael Holderman, Michael Shugars, Katie, even down to the lower level staff, Mark in maintenance, Myron (sp?) who escorted Dad to lunch today made him feel welcome and at home. I can't say thank you enough. My Dad was a grump when I took him in and was grinning ear to ear after lunch. An incredible transformation.

They have helped my mother have a safe and enjoyable life for 4 years. Always a pleasure to work with. They have done an excellent job during COVID, and always keep me informed about those measures and anything else that could impact her. Administration, maintenance, nursing, housekeeping, dietary and everyone else do a top notch job and respect the residents and families.

In my line of work in Atlanta, Georgia, I help families navigate the decisions and the challenges of moving their loved ones into assisted living situations. When our family made the decision to move my dear Mother-in-law, to an assisted living situation, Autumn House East made the choice easier. Every staff member we encountered was warm and welcoming. It was obvious that they took pride in Autumn House and worked hard to make it a hospitable and caring place - and it was impeccably clean and well maintained. And they took time to offer advice about how to downsize to a smaller living space and other practical, yet caring, advice. When the pandemic required a lockdown, the staff cared for her with such professionalism and tenderness. We cant thank them enough. And then when her health deteriorated, Autumn House helped to arrange palliative hospice care so she could stay in her room. And I cant say enough about the way Melyssa cared for our Mom, as if she were her own family, which was particularly meaningful for those of us who live far away. If you are looking for a facility to help you as you care for your family members in this transition to a new living situation, I recommend Autumn House East wholeheartedly.

My family and I cannot say enough good things about the awesome people at Autumn House East in York, PA. From the day my Mom started her stay at Autumn House back in August of 2019 through the time of her passing in May of 2021, EVERY single person at the Autumn House went above and beyond with their care and concern for my Mom and our entire family as we all suffered together the challenging consequences of Dementia. Throughout her stay, the entire staff at Autumn House treated my Mom like it was their mom - they were kind, they were caring and they did whatever they could do to comfort, to make her feel safe and in her final days to minimize her suffering. They went above and beyond the call - we never felt like this was a business arrangement - it truly felt like family. And what can I say about the amazing work of everyone at Autumn House during the height of the pandemic. They took all of the necessary steps to protect ALL of their residents and their staff in the most challenging times in a generation. Although the required lockdowns were extremely challenging for someone like my Mom suffering dementia, the staff of Autumn House took their care to another level and truly became her family - when at a time we simply could not provide the care and support she needed. The most heartwarming part is one incredible staff member - Melyssa - called my Mom, Nana - her grandmother name and treated her like gold. She was amazing. In her last months at Autumn House my Mom moved to the Memory Care unit and again the care and compassion for her in that unit was beyond description. Under Brandys leadership in the Memory Care unit my Mom felt safe and secure at a time when her dementia made her feel just the opposite on most occasions. We can never adequately thank ALL of the staff at Autumn House for the incredible care of our Mom - they made the most challenging times of her life and ours much more bearable. As I like to say, Autumn House over-promised us on what they could deliver and then OVER delivered in terms of results. If you are thinking of utilizing Autumn House for a loved one, I offer the most supportive recommendation to you during your consideration. Without question, having my Mom at Autumn House for her final years was the best thing we could have done for her. Thank you Autumn House - we are so grateful for your wonderful care of Rosemary Dill!

My family and I just had to place our mom in Assisted Living due to some health and safety issues. After visiting many facilities around the area , we felt most comfortable entrusting our mom to Autumn House East. Our mother wasnt thrilled with this choice by her family! We have been touched by the kind and caring staff who have helped us tremendously as we try to help our mother adjust to her new living quarters. Everyone has been pleasant and kind despite moms reluctance to settle in willingly.We are confident that this empathetic and caring community will win over our moms approval . We are very thankful to all these wonderful employees for their pleasant attitudes and encouraging personalities!
