I can be a harsh critic when I see something is not right. Magnolias assisted living is that one special place that you always wanted for your loved one. The true devotion and compassion for the residents is second to none. No questions go unanswered, no needs go unresolved. This is a small community and everyone knows everyone including visiting family. If you’re lucky enough to find an available room here, don’t hesitate, it will be gone soon. These employees live up to their reputation.

We feel fortunate to have found Magnolias of Chambersburg. This was the result of my stepson,s diligent efforts to find a memory care facility in South Central Pennsylvania. Pricing was 35 to 40 percent less than the previous Memory Care facility . I and my spouses family are very satisfied with the care and attention she has been given at Magnolias. They are all very caring and responsive treating her as if she was a member of their own family.

Having worked in the medical field for nearly 30 years, I had much experience of seeing residents from every local care facility and noted the extent of care they received. When the time came to seriously consider the difficult decision of finding 24 hour care for our parents, Magnolia's of Chambersburg was the first pick. While we had visited others, having the opportunity to know the management staff personally provided peace of mind and a friendly face to reach out to. The transition of moving is never easy. Leaving your home is heartbreaking, but our father is adjusting quite well and is not longer "burdened" with being the primary caregiver for Mom (although he did an amazing job until his physical abilities were compromised). Dementia, coupled with vision and hearing difficulties, adds so much stress to this life changing event. It has definitely not been easy, but working together with staff, medical providers, and family, I am praying we are finding the right plan of care to make our dear mother feel safe and secure. Our family has been very "present" with daily visits, but we are seeing Mom becoming more comfortable with staff and the other residents and are so grateful. Due to the level of care needs, Dad & Mom are in separate units at Magnolia's. This has provided the opportunity to meet all the staff. They truly care for their residents, engage family in care planning, provide delicious meals, keep the facilities in beautiful condition (inside and out), attend to problems with speed and efficiency, and have activities that encourage resident involvement. We thank all the "family" at Magnolia's of Chambersburg for loving on our parents and providing peace of mind for our family!

After my dad had several falls at home, the family made the difficult decision to move him into assisted living. After visiting several places, it was apparent that Magnolia’s was the right fit! We all fell in love, including dad, with the Magnolia’s community. Their attention to detail in the very tasteful decor is the first thing you notice as you walk through the door. It doesn’t look like the typical’ assisted living. The staff is top notch from top to bottom. They all have the residents best interests at the heart of everything they do. We are so blessed that our dad can call this place home.

When we could no longer care for my 92 year old mother with dementia we looked at many places. Magnolias of Chambersburg was recommended to us by a neighbor who had her own mother living there and loved it. After our first visit we knew this was the best place for her. The atmosphere, cleanliness, caring staff and activities are all wonderful. My mom is very happy there and my husband and I can now enjoy our lives together without worry, knowing that my mom is being well-cared for.

We were very fortunate to have our loved one placed in Magnolia's of Chambersburg's Memory Care Unit. We cannot say enough about this facility and staff! They sent a team to our town to meet and evaluate our loved one on an emergency basis. They were very professional and compassionate. Thankfully, in our situation, it only took a week for placement. The care and consideration our loved one needed during her transition to the unit was met in every way. We cannot stress enough how wonderful the entire staff was to her. We could finally sleep at night knowing she was safe and cared for. The facility is clean, bright and homey. It smells fresh and the private rooms are spacious. With only 25 rooms on this unit there is a great staff to resident ratio. Since we live over an hour away, we utilized the in-house salon, laundry sevice, the visiting doctor and podiatrist, and the transport services for other appointments. The residents are encouraged to socialize and participate in the many activities provided, as opposed to being in their bed or room alone. Visitors are always welcome at anytime. While we realise this is one of the hardest decisions you'll ever make, we are eternally grateful for the 13 months our loved one was cared for by Magnolia's.

At Magnolia's of Chambersburg over the last few years, we have experienced that the residents and guests alike are consistently treated with genuine kindness, respect and appreciation by the friendly staff. A compassion rich environment. Magnolia's is truly a family environment and community where individual needs are met. Even the activites and social events are influenced by the desires of the residents to enrich their lives and they feel heard. There are daily delicious nutritious menu "options" always available and no ones Birthday is missed because there's always a party at Magnolia's!!! Our mother loves the bands and music! Thank you! Today was the first time visiting Magnolias of Chambersberg. The staff was engaging and friendly. One highlight was the calm loving atmosphere that surrounded the residents. Dad was admitted to Memory Care at the end of January after being hospitalized in Virginia for over a month. While his condition is degenerative, the improvement in his demeanor and perspective over the past month is nothing short of miraculous due to the employees at Magnolias. The staff is caring, empathetic, and committed to the safety and well-being of its residents. They call me with any concerns and know details about each patient. Whenever I visit, the first staff member I encounter lets me know how dad is doing. To a person, my perception is that each staff member considers their position a "calling" as opposed to a job. Thank you to Alyssa, Amy, Kris, and the many smiling faces of staff I have come to know as "friends." The doctors and other professionals (e.g., Physical therapists) associated with Magnolias are also top-notch. I am so grateful that dad is in this community.

My mom has been at Magnolias for 3 years now and continues to love it there! The staff is amazing and takes such good care of her! When we first moved her there, we were unsure she would walk again after having her leg amputated. They support her in all areas of her health concerns and physical recovery. My mom is in the latter stages of frontal lobe dementia. Magnolias is so caring and treats her with absolute dignity. Though my mom can't communicate verbally they know what she likes and doesn't like. They are very in tune to her needs. A nurse even bought a nightgown for my mom for Christmas. The staff are angels and it brings me and my family great peace of mind to know that my mom is in such good capable hands.

Magnolias of Chambersburg is an absolutely WONDERFUL place for anyone looking for assisted living or dementia care for someone. They are a small facility, therefore able to give personalized care for their residents. They get to know each resident intimately and their needs, likes, and dislikes. The rooms are large, and each resident has a private room. They have many activities for their residents and families. My mom moved in the beginning of April and loves it there. It is very "homey" and the interaction between the staff and residents, and other residents in great. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Anyone considering assisted living or dementia care should definitely look in to Magnolias - you won't be sorry!!

My wife was at this facility for just short of 2 years 2017-19. The staff was truly impressive in every way. Kind, warm, patient, pleasant, always treating my wife and our family like we were all in this together as a family ! I thank them for making my wonderful wife's last days as pleasant as possible.

Magnolias is the PERFECT place for Mom, and she and her house cat are quite content there. Mom's room looks like her home away from home; Magnolia's allowed us to paint the walls in Mom's room with Mom's favorite color, hang Mom's favorite curtains and use Mom's own familiar furniture from home. Magnolia's is smaller in resident numbers, offering an inviting, comfortable homey environment. The administrative staff is very "approachable" to ask questions anytime. The caregivers and activity directors are super troupes. They know each and every residents' likes and dislikes without even asking. Resident's family members are quickly recognized and accepted as part of the "Magnolia's family." Good food and "home-cooking." Clean, attractive environment inside and out.
