We moved my father in law to the Woods at Cedar Run a week ago. Everyone was wonderful to work with throughout the intake process. The nursing and bedside staff have been amazing. They’ve been responsive to phone calls and answering questions. He has felt welcome in his new home and his plan of care needs have been met and exceeded. Staff have gone out of their way to ensure that he’s safe, comfortable and happy. I would highly recommend The Woods at Cedar Run for Personal Care/Assisted Living needs!

Hi. My Dad felt it was time to move himself and my Mom from their home two years ago. In researching facilities, The Woods at Cedar Run came highly recommended. Sadly, we moved them to the Woods two weeks before Covid hit and visitation came to a halt. Management and staff stepped up their care immediately during a very unknown time. We were impressed by their caring nature. We were thrilled when visitation began again. My Dad used to say it was like living on a cruise ship with so much to do and always something to eat throughout the day. My Mom was diagnosed with mild Dementia and things changed for us. With the help of my Dad and the staff at The Woods, Mom appeared to be settling in. In January, 2021, Dad passed from Covid so we moved Mom to a smaller room. The staff suggested we move Mom to a room next to the Nurses' Station so everyone could visit with her multiple times a day. In December of 2021, my Mom passed from Dementia. Everyone at The Woods was so caring. Staff members even came to Mom's funeral. My family and I highly recommend The Woods at Cedar Run. You can be assured that your loved one(s) will thrive there. I became friends with many of the staff over this 2-year period and stay in touch with them (since moving to Arizona) on a regular basis through Facebook and phone calls. They are the BEST. I hope this helps you if you are looking for a special place for your loved one(s). Connie

My Mom is very happy that she came to The Woods at Cedar Run. She is almost 92 and I am so happy with the way they take care of her here. She has a very positive attitude and enjoys all that this place has to offer her. She has made friends and enjoys the activities they do together.

I recently joined the Woods at Cedar run team. The staff cares about the residents and are very welcoming. BUILDING - Beautiful features such as a fireplace, library, waterfall, outdoor spaces, a movie theater room, etc. FOOD -The food onsite is good. The bacon chicken ranch wrap is my jam. Everything I have had was good though.

We moved my parents from their home to Assisted Living at the Woods at Cedar Run in November. What a wonderful choice of a place to call home. The staff at the Woods has been amazing. They not only care about the residents but they extend that care to the families of their residents as well. They are willing to go above and beyond to help with any concerns. The Woods has become a part of our extended family and we are grateful for the care they are providing for my parents. I would highly recommend The Woods at Cedar Run for an Assisted Living Facility.

The Woods at Cedar Run is an excellent choice for any level of senior living. My mom started there more three years ago in an Independent Living apartment and moved to Memory Care in March of 2021. The Memory Care staff is kind, caring, knowledgeable and fun, which leads to a family-like atmosphere. Actually, the staff in the whole darn place is amazing. You will always feel welcome and comfortable at The Woods. Update: my mom passed away in November surrounded by her family and the remarkable staff at The Woods. The folks at The Woods went above and beyond to make sure that all of us felt their care and love until Mom’s last peaceful breath. We are so grateful to them for everything.

I have lived here since May 2008 and really enjoy life here! The staff are professional and helpful. The food is excellent and prepared by our own chef. The grounds are private, well maintained and quite! I was diagnosed with dementia, probably Alzheimers. I live on the 2nd floor in Senior Living. When the disease progresses enough, I will be transferred to the Memory Care unit on the 1st floor. That option is not available in some other facilities!

My mom has been happy here. Shes been here for almost a year and a half. She has a beautiful view of the creek(we see deer and feed the ducks in nice weather), she has her cat with her which is so important, she never complains. She likes the food. The residents on the second floor seem to really get along well. And most importantly, the staff is kind to her, goes out of their way to help her when necessary, and generally takes good care of her. We try to treat the staff very well because they do so much for the residents. And they have a lot to deal with, mentally and physically, and a lot of patience!! The only drawback is that its expensive. For my mom, it is room, board, three times a day meal reminders, and twice daily medication. They also provide lots of activities which my mom chooses not to attend unfortunately. I know those things, plus insurance, are expensive and were lucky she can afford it. But not everyone can. Overall, highly recommend!

The dementia unit is too understaffed especially on 2nd and 3rd shifts. Dementia patients sundown and have confusion of day and night. The caregivers are expected to feed, shower-change, bathroom assist and do laundry for the clients. Most of these clients are either in wheelchairs or using walkers so they need assistance to be mobile. For the money paid the clients are not getting the level of care they should be.

Fantastic experiences with my in laws! They have lived here for about 2 years. When they moved in they were rather independent but, as we expected their needs changed over time. This whole team has been so attentive to their needs and even more importantly listening to their wants and desires. From independent living Julie helped keep them motivated, to Courtney guiding us through the changing needs, and assuring the team was equipped to handle my in laws. I remember looking for a place when our family felt it was time for more support-you pray you are reading the environment and people right. We felt we found a good connection but, what we have found is far beyond our best expectations. We love this place!

Former employee here who left on good terms, but despite that was escorted off the premesis as if I were some criminal to their company (which I was not) after showing up to visit residents to whom I promised I would come to visit after I had left. I didnt read the entire employee handbook, so I was not aware that former-loyal employees were not aloud on the property. I am also pretty sure an accusation was made against me about a stolen computer that went missing the day I left. I am giving this 3 stars because I know most of the residents love it there, however, the staff (RCAs, Housekeeping, and Wait Staff), are treated like trash by management which is NOT ok. If you do not like to be over worked only to be underpaid, and if you do not like to be made to feel guilty for not being able to pick up shifts, or work extra hours, or show up to mandatory meetings on your days off, then I do not recommend this place for people looking for jobs. Now dont get me wrong. There are some among management that are very kind, and pleasant to be around, however, there are others that are just out to please the higher ups at the expense of us lower staff.

My Nana is a 93 year old resident there. Her name is Doris Blue she lives on the independent floor. She is in charge of Monday Bridge Club. She has been a model for three years in the CJ Banks Fashion Show. The staff Julie and Cindy and Maureen are friendly and welcoming. The Musicians Sweet Life are fantastic, too. This is definitely a wonderful living facility for those who can no longer live on there own.

My husband and I have 3 parents in The Woods. They love the freedom, activities, meals, and kind staff. It feels like a nice resort instead of a nursing home. Mom has been at the Woods for over 10 years and is now in Memory Care. It has been a great place for mom with so many activities and excellent, caring staff. They are like family to me. I live a few hours away and feel comfortable that mom is loved, cared for, and given lots to do-- thanks to the amazing RCA's and activity staff. Particularly like the small homelike feel of memory care--unlike so many large places with a more institutional feel. Thank you to everyone at the Woods for all you do!! --Cindy Way ps-- RCAs should be paid three times as much-- just sayin'

December 2014 my sister and myself were looking for a loving and caring place for my mom. We looked at four places and as soon as we walk through the doors and were greeted by the receptionist and then spent some time with our tour person, my sis and i looked at each other and both knodded our heads in approval. We didn't want to seem to anxious so we finished the tour, asked our questions and sat down at the table to begin the paper work. The very first day she moved in, she fell in love with the place and especially the staff. And the best part....the staff loves her too. I could go on with the wonderful stories. All i ask, if you are looking for a place for one of you loved ones, make sure to put The Woods at Cedar Run on your short list.
