Dad is receiving great care from the team! He came from home living alone and after suffering from small strokes, Blue Bell Place has been a great fit for him! Dad has his medications managed, he has his meals prepared daily and he enjoys visiting with his tablemates at meals. Our family has peace of mind knowing Dad is receiving the care he needs!

The facility was very nice. The receptionists are great. The nurses are top notch and kind (especially Theresa).The problem was with one aid named Lucretia. She had a near miss almost dropping my mom. My wife and I had a meeting with management Kim and Roxanne. They assured us it wouldn’t happen again and my poor mother dying if cancer with a fractured arm and cancer in her hip would be a 2 person assist. About a week later , the same aid Lucretia rolled my poor mother out of her bed and she hit the ground! They notified my dad about 3-4 hours later! My wife and I went to see mom the next morning just to watch her pass away right in front of us. My mom had more time to live! Physical therapy and a hair cut and color was set up for the next day that she was very much looking forward to. Nobody from Blue bell place reached out to send condolences to my dad or myself. They were probably too concerned with filling a bed and getting more money.If Desiree tries to sell your loved one a place there promising the world please be aware!!!!! She will promise the world and their management will dismiss your concerns. They have some amazing people there but it only takes 1 hole to sink a ship and they don’t see to care as long as they get paid. Please remember my mothers photo of you choose this facility. We all miss her very much

I moved my Dad into Personal Care about 6 months ago. He is thriving. Medication management, good meals and socialization has made all the difference for him. He loves the therapy team and getting his one on one exercise with them and also has his own walking program he is committed to. The staff are kind, competent and treat everyone like family. I'm grateful to have him in a smaller community where he doesn't get lost in the shuffle.

My sister and I feel so blessed to have be able to move our mom into Blue Bell Place in September. From our very first contacts with Kim and then Desiree, we have been treated like family. They made the transition for our mom seamless and our move into her apartment convenient. Every single nurse and caregiver treats our mom with kindness and respect. She is well groomed, well fed and genuinely cared for, comfortable and happy. We are welcomed in with open arms at every visit and we receive frequent updates both through phone calls and text messages. Special shout outs to Nurses Roxanne, Shaunte and Elaina, as well as to Morgan from Gentiva Hospice, who works directly with Blue Bell Place. If you are looking into care for your loved one, Blue Bell Place should be top on your list.

I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing BLUE BELL PLACE has been. My parents were on the personal care side years ago and due to distance had to move them out of the area. Unfortunately, my father passed away and I wanted to move my mom closer to where I now live. So I have brought her back to BLUE BELL PLACE, but she now resides in the memory care unit. It has been an amazing experience. The staff are warm and friendly and actually really care about the residents. They even asked me how I would like my moms hair done and to show them, so that they could try to replicate it. They asked me if she prefers coffee or tea with her meals. My mother has not been offered coffee or tea in the last 2 1/2 years at the awful place that we just left. BLUE BELL PLACE is a very clean and friendly environment. They provide the residence with plenty of activities to do so they are not bored. I just left and after dinner they were putting Mom in a painting class. The other place just let them sit and look at each other all night long with nothing to do. I would highly recommend anyone who cares for their loved one to at least come and visit and take a tour. You will see and feel the difference almost immediately. I am just so thankful and happy to see Mom thriving there. The nurses are very knowledgeable and the caregivers are very skilled at what they do. From the administration down, you will find warm welcoming people who care about everyone there.

Demented patients are allowed to lock themselves in their room and in their bathroom and Not allow anyone in. If they fall and are unconscious No one would know because of the locked rooms and the lack of the staff making rounds of all patient rooms in a timely manner.

My dad (88) has been a resident of Blue Bell Place for almost a year. I couldn’t be more grateful for the directors, nurses and all staff. They genuinely care about my dad and treat him like a family member. This is a close-knit community that my dad now calls home. He is safe, content and enjoys the activitiesespecially the musical entertainment, restaurant trips and Friday Happy Hour! I was worried about how my dad would transition to assisted living after being on his own for a long time but the BBP staff took time to know him and make his transition an easy one. I have peace of mind knowing he is surrounded by staff who genuinely care about him. They have become our second family .

Blue Bell Place was a key player in our family’s elder care journey for our parents John and Carmella. For over 6 years BBP partnered to nurture, protect and support our family’s goals to keep our parents well cared for through their late 90’s. In short, BBP became our 2nd family. The journey to assisted living wasn’t necessarily an easy one for mom and dad. They were a vibrant and independent couple who had 74 years together. Moving to an assisted community was a challenge they faced with their greatest generation’ strength and determination. The BBP staff were instrumental in facilitating their transition with limitless patience, compassion and respect. Some might feel that when our elders reach this stage in their live journey that their role as parent may no longer be relevant. The reality is, with the help and support of BBP, mom and dad gave us their last great lesson - how to age with dignity and grace. Our family has the utmost gratitude and appreciation for BBP. ™

My cousin who came from Cumberland, Maryland recently moved to Blue Bell Place Memory care unit. The staff could not be more professional and caring. This was a big move for my cousin and for our family. The Executive Director Kim and Marketing Director Desiree have guided us along the way to ease the transition. My cousin who has dementia and a cancer diagnosis seems happy and feels safe. The fact that he can reside in a private apartment with a full bath allows my cousin the independence he deserves at this point in his life. The community is so pretty, clean, bright and airynot a dark hole or semi private room like many places we toured in Cumbetland. I can sleep at night knowing he is cared for and treated with dignity and respect. The nursing staff and nurse assistants who are there daily demonstrate the right mindset when it comes to caring for their residents - Its clear they understand the significant impact they have on the well being and happiness of those in their care. My mother entered the memory care part of Blue Bell Place about a month ago and we have had a great experience. We have been impressed by the staff's level of care and compassion for my mom as she deals with this period in her life. From the caregivers to leadership, we feel that my mom is in the right place. Blue Bell Place is a wonderful community. Everyone there is very welcoming and compassionate and personable. The healthcare professionals are very caring and attentive to residents needs and personalities ’. Blue Bell Place holds daily activities and weekly entertainment for all of the residents, anywhere from cooking class to chair yoga to offsite excursions. Last week they had an Elvis impersonator join them for dinner. Elvis serenaded everyone for two hours while some of the employees dressed up in 50’s attire handing out food and drink. The residence enjoyed hamburgers/ hotdogs and Shirley Temples while tapping their blue suede shoes to hits like hound dog and jailhouse rock! Just yesterday they had a piano player entertain them with a wide array of oldies but goodies! And every Friday they hold a happy hour full of good music, fun snacks and a variety of spirits. A good time is had by ALL ( including me 😉 I can’t say enough good things about this warm, affectionate and understanding retirement community. I absolutely love visiting my mom and seeing everyone.

My friend Pete was a resident for almost 2 years and received excellent care. The caregivers tended to all of his needs and always made him feel special. They were very responsive whenever he needed assistance. They kept him engaged with activities and music which was his passion.

When we found BBP in our search for care facilities for our parents, we were confident we had found the right home for them. Blue Bell Place has been taking care of my parents since 2018. The staff takes care of them as if they are their own family. The facility is always clean and friendly faces to greet you when you enter. We, as a family, liked the way the facility feels like home and not some sterile environment.

My sister and I are very thankful for Blue Bell Place. When our brother became very ill with cancer in 2020, we asked 10 facilities to consider him, and Blue Bell Place was the only one that would take him. They immediately said yes, without hesitation. This was during COVID, and it was very difficult for our elderly mother to visit him at his window. She also started to need additional assistance with her daily activities, so we all decided that she would become a resident there as well. She got to spend every day with our brother until he passed. The staff was wonderful, attentive, and very understanding. Our mom and brother were both very well taken care of during this difficult time. Our mom has made friends at Blue Bell Place, and she really enjoys it when they have musical entertainment and arts and crafts. She had a stroke recently and moved to the Pathways memory care side of the building. She has transitioned beautifully, has met new residents, and her friends (and staff) from the other side of the building are allowed to visit her. All the staff (including aides, nurses, hospice, kitchen, maintenance, physical and speech therapy, front desk and the Director), have been awesome. We are so thankful for Blue Bell Place!

I am so happy I had my mom transition to her next phase of life at Blue Bell Place in 2021 where she was comfortable, active, and cared for by some amazing caregivers. The thoughtfulness shown to both my mother and my family made everyone feel warm and welcome when we came to visit each week. I am forever grateful she enjoyed her last couple of years in the company of new friends with something new to look forward to everyday. I would recommend BBP as I know how difficult it is when your loved one can no longer stay at home. But is made so much better when we know they are not only cared for, but also encouraged to thrive where ever they are in their phase of life. Thank you for all you did for my mom 🙂

I recently visited Blue Bell Place and saw many happy residents eating together and engaging with the staff. It is a quaint community that has personal care and memory care. Colby the Sales Director really knows all the residents and her background as a music therapist gives her a deeper understanding of families' needs and quality of life.
