I moved my mother in here a month or two ago and she is loving it! They keep a clean facility and the staff are very caring. They helped us get everything in order to move her and and check on her all the time to ensure her comfort. The room she got was well maintained and they come in to tidy weekly. The meals are fair and they keep some fruit and sweets out for everyone.

The biggest attraction for us to this location was the outside. My father in law loves being outside and there seemed to have quite a bit of outside roaming area for him to walk and spend time outside. My in laws seem to be adjusting well. They are doing some of the activities and meeting new people. The food is not what they have been used to but they are getting used to it and starting to like it. The staff has been very nice and helpful.

One star is a joke. My significant other had been there about 2 years and now they are making him leave on the basis that they think he needs more care. No one will give us a straight answer. We have heard several reasons and not at the same time. They change. The nurse there is incompetent. If you ask her something she accuses you of not trusting her. I have arrived in the past to find the toilet covered with feces all the way to the floor and even after several requests to have it cleaned, it was the same way the next day. The food can be horrible at time. Uncooked beans that still had the crunch in them. Raw dough in a pie. I ate there often and the people often commented on it. In fact meals were often very disappointing. One time I had to empty the three trash containers in his room because they had not been done for over a week. They even told me where to put them. They have told him he can not come back but they are still collecting his money and won't give him a written notice of any kind. I am his spokesman, but they will not tall me anything even though he has difficulty understanding them between his drugs and dialysis. He has requested them to talk to me. The communication is zero. He still wants to return and I am sure you would wonder why, but he still thinks of it as his home and he had the ability to use his electric chair and get outside and visit with people. It has been a VERY stressful time for both of us. As far as his health is concerned, his doctor says he is perfectly fine to be in an assisted living place. All in all, the worst thing about this place is the Nurse and the administrator.

Love, Love, Love this community! The staff and residents are amazing here. I would recommend living here. Best in the area, hands down.

I have been going to Brookdale in Stayton since it was formerly Lakeside. In the beginning the food and service in the dining room was very good. Since it has changed ownership, the food and kitchen service has dropped greatly in the last year or so. An example can be if four people are sitting at a table, three of them can be served and done before the fourth person has even received their food. Another problem is often waiting up to an hour for the meals to arrive at the table. An equally frustrating issue is receiving cold food. Speaking on a positive note is that the majority of the employees are wonderful, caring people. The grounds and all the surroundings are kept up beautifully.
