I love the residents. The elderly are the best population to work with. The staff are great and can tell that they care about the health and wellbeing of the residents.

Place hard to find without a map. The building is in a residential area and doesn't look like a rest home, plain, white and mostly hidden behind trees and bushes. Friendly staff

My mother felt loved and cared for while there. The staff knew her well, and towards the end of her life, they made sure that we were able to spend as much time with her as we could. I have so much respect and gratitude for the caregivers, esp. Lori (dont know if shes still there).

Very caring and kind staff. My Mother in law thoroughly enjoyed all those who worked there. Plus, great crafts and activities that Rachel did. Highly highly recommend Chateau Gardens for your loved one.

Room 12 at Chateau Gardens was my mothers home for 3 years. Our family visited frequently and we consistently observed the staff to be caring and patient. It was a comfort to see that we had entrusted our mother to people who would love her and love us.Now its been a couple of years that I have been volunteering weekly in the activity program. its amazing how many of the staff are still at Chateau Gardens, still patiently helpful to residents and friendly to each other. Hats off to them for facing old age and death in the face every time they come to work. Whenever general conversations turn to worries about elderly parents, I always recommend Chateau Gardens to friends and acquaintances.

No one wishes that their parent or loved one needs long-term care, and the choices for loving care under compassionate leadership are few. My mom and her partner lived in two other care centers before coming to Chateau Gardens. Here, I found Kim Fredricks, the director, to have an open-door policy. She led her staff, including kitchen staff, as equals, and they felt it. Director, Activity Director, Caregivers and Kitchen staff all pitched in as needed. Rachel Langford, the activities director, took personal care of the residents and treated each one as family. Both Rachel and Kim were tireless in their care of others. When I was away in Portland, and my mom needed transport to hospital, Rachel stayed with my mom, hours after her shift, holding her hand, until I arrived. When I had complaints, I was listened to, and I knew they were doing the best they could with the resources they had. Yes, there needs to be legislation to better the ratio of staff to residents in the State of Oregon. In the meantime, Chateau Gardens was my moms home away from home. A blessing at the end of life.

My father has been at Chateau Gardens for 6 months, after stays in 4 other care facilities, and the care at CG has been superb. The CG philosophy is that the staff is visiting in the home of the residents, and that attitude shows in the excellent care and attention they give everyone. The residence is kept clean, simple and pleasant. The staff is fantastic, caring and focused, and well-trained in dementia and Alzheimers. A wonderful place for anyone with memory problems or requiring complete care.
