Beautiful, but ridiculously overpriced. I'm just a visitor, though, not a resident.

My mom lives here. I have to say the staff has worked very hard to keep everyone safe and healthy during the pandemic. They have also tried to do what they can to allow the folks to stay engaged with each other safely.

Unfortunately what I thought was a great company to work for, ended up being a poor excuse for a job. Don't expect any training for your position, orientation is about a month after you are employed, so you get started, try to find your own path as far as your daily role, no calendars sync together so you are the last to know about meetings, then after a month you get to learn of the owners vision, which was great for 2009, but here we are in 2023 and the vision needs a facelift. The furniture is dated, the color scheme is dull and needs a color pop! The rents just went incredibly high with no planned upgrades for the residents. The software is Yardi, but a horrible choice for how they use it. There is no IT support, so you could be weeks without the information you need. Also, unfortunately if you complain about another employee, even after that employee made you feel unsafe, you will be told to let it go, that employee is special to upper management. That person is allowed to yell at residents and or employees, and nothing will be done. It's a gossip column, it's full of favorite clicks, and the only part that made the day go smoothly was a handful of good employees that work extra hard, because there are several slackers, and the beautiful residents always remind you why you choose this type of employment, which I personally will miss. Short staffed as so many other companies is on going, they should consider pay increases. If this company wants you gone, they will fabricate allegations and simply say your heart and soul were not in it to get you out the door, even when you show up early, stay late, work every event into the evening even after a full shift. And don't think about trusting HR at Central Bethany, they are equally not for the employee. In my case, I had already started job hunting after two months of so much chaos, confusion, and mixed upper management messages. I am not disgruntled, I'm grateful to be free from Laurel Parc.

I'm so blessed to have worked at Laurel Parc going on about four years now, and I can't say enough good things! The residents are incredible people who make Laurel Parc such a wonderful place to be and the knowledgeable and supportive staff members you get to work alongside each day are a huge support! When I first began at Laurel Parc I was new to working in Senior Living but received great training initially upon being hired as well as continued training opportunities as time has gone by. The management at Laurel Parc does a fantastic job when it comes to knowing and supporting their employees! There have been times when I had to miss work due to family and medical emergencies and each time that's happened I've felt genuinely cared about as a team member and have had fantastic support from HR with any logistics. As time has gone by I've genuinely fallen more and more in love with working in senior living and when I've asked management for guidance and advice regarding senior living career pathways I've received incredible advice and mentorship in addition to feeling like the company supports me as I strive to learn more and further my education in this field. I have much respect for the owners of Laurel Parc as they lead by example. They are incredibly hard working people who take the time to not only learn the names of all the staff within the company but they also make it a point to know and form genuine friendships with all of the residents as well, (for anyone keeping track, that's a huge number of people to know personally!) I'm proud to work for such an incredible and caring family! I've learned over time that while working in senior living isn't for everyone, if you're the type of person who wants to create something good in the world by helping out some amazing residents and you're the type of employee who comes to work with the intention of making a genuine effort to complete your assigned tasks, working in senior living at Laurel Parc could be the most rewarding work experience you'll ever have!

I know in any business, facility or in life in general it seems that the good never gets appreciated enough. I just wanted to say that as the daughter I feel extremely blessed to have my parents(Duane & Susan Stanley) at a facility like yours. There was a reason we chose Laurel Parc and it stands out true daily. The personable feel, the care, the consistency, the atmosphere, and of course your exceptional staff in every area. We have had a rough go here recently and all I can say is everyone has been amazing. Affinity stepped up and helped me get thru things for my Mom and there care and concern is amazing. The whole staff is wonderful. Mary Dunn is absolutely amazing, she has been nothing but THE best and helpful thru such a stressful situation and made everything feel much easier. She is always so warm and personal. Lastly, I want to give the LARGEST shout out possible to Jessica Canady. This gal is truly a gem! You need to make sure you never let this one get away. Everything from her professionalism and knowledge to her absolutely warm caring heart. This lady wears so many hats and has no issue and rolls with the punches daily. Her love and true passion for every residence in MC and their needs are remarkable. That being said, her staff shines the same way because of what she puts forth. I feel soo very blessed to have her in MC.

Laurel Parc has been a wonderful community for my parents since they move in four years ago. They sold their house and moved to a beautiful independent living apartment and took part in many of the varied activities available. As their care needs changed the incredible staff helped guide them (and me) to a move to assisted living. The kindness of the staff (from the top down) has been exceptional to my parents, all my family members and to the other residents. Now, as changes are inevitable, we are experiencing the kindness at Brightway Memory Care. Lifes journey continues for my parents and I am very happy with the continued care Laurel Parc offers them. Everyone at Laurel Parc, from the folks at the front desk to the servers in the dining room to the maintenance experts, has welcomed my dad with genuine warmth and kindness. My dad is truly enjoying living in a lively community filled with people to chat with and interesting activities to participate in. Live music, nature walks, movies, and restaurant outings have given my dad a new lease on life. We are grateful not just to the staff but to the community of residents they have built that makes Laurel Parc a wonderful new home.

I can't understand the rationale (and have requested a response on the same which has gone unmet) of an assisted living facility, in the time of Covid and now the Delta variant, that allows workers with direct contact with residents to go unvaccinated. The director has not offered to explain although I asked him to in writing. I can only assume he either doesn't understand the risk or simply doesn't care, like our family does about our relatives.

Iv been employed for 11.5 years i love the residents and couldn't imagine dedicating my life anywhere else

I think the facility is beautiful and if you have a loved one who is ambulatory and independent they will probably enjoy the community. If your loved one is needing more assistance I would not recommend. We had a very dangerous situation with my Father and moved him immediately. For the money you do not get the service.

My dad has lived here for many years. His experiences here have, for the most part, been good. Any complaints I've heard have been that sometimes the food needs some help. It seems to depend on who's doing the cooking. The wait staff seems to always be in a state of change. The staff are nice and friendly but often times slow. Prices usually are reasonable. Depending on day and holiday, everything from peanut butter and jelly sandwich to a lobster dinner may be available. There are several "extras" for residents..theater, church services, beauty salon, pool, memory care, crafts, bowling, etc. Being a family member, I like to come for a visit and stay for a day or two. There are 2 guest rooms available to rent. Each room is like a nice hotel-type room. If these are unavailable or if you prefer to stay with your relative, you will be told there are roll-away beds available to rent. However...if you want a good nights rest, don't count on getting it with the rollaway. The mattresses on these must be as old as the hills because you get to sleep on springs that poke you here, there and everywhere. We have protested against these beds several times. Shoot, my dad even paid extra money so whoever is in charge would buy a new mattress so there would be something comfortable for me to sleep on, so its not like the owners of this large lovely retirement community can't afford to provide a little comfort for the family and friends of those residing here. To be fair, maybe they did buy a new mattress ....but they apparently had such an attachment to the old ones, they kept them and continue to rent them out. I know this because it seems I end up with the oldie (mattress, not person) whenever I stay over. So if you plan on visiting your loved ones here, you might consider a nearby motel. You might spend more, but at least you will sleep better and not wake up with springs stuck to your backside.
