We placed my Father in Law here as he could not stay in his house anymore. He only lasted a short time before passing but during that time the office and service staff were very attentive and took care of all his needs. I would recommend them based on our experience.

After visiting several potential care facilities for my mom, Cherry Blossom Cottage was the clear winner, and a few months in, we couldn't be more pleased. Because I don't live in Oregon, it was critical to find a warm and caring home for my mom - one that didn't have me worried about her from long distance. I have been extremely pleased with my mom's care - the staff (and I mean everyone, from the RN and activities coordinator to management and every single aide and helper I've met) is kind, caring and very attentive. I've witnessed this in person (I was in Portland for over three months during her transition to Cherry Blossom) and I've experienced this long distance. Phone calls are answered right away and any concern about my mom has been immediately addressed. The staff to resident ratio is impressive. I am relieved and very pleased with our experience overall at Cherry Blossom Cottage.

Beware of the the terrible administration and rude staff. They are not friendly with their residents or visitors.

Cherry Blossom Cottage has been a wonderful home away from home for my husband after his stroke. It is always so clean, wonderful friendly staff, and he is happy and so thankful for all they do for him. Because of them it has made it easier on the family to know he is in a safe place. I highly recommend Cherry Blossom Cottage if your ever in need for a family member.

Cherry Blossom Cottage was described as a whimsical cottage setting which was warm and fuzzy. This was certainly true of the wonderful caregivers but not true of the administration. They were cold and distant and mostly invisible behind closed office doors. My wife was a resident for 6 months and never saw the administrator. She saw the manager 4 times during her stay. 3 times for ridiculous rule infractions and the last day when my wife left. There was never an in person meeting with anyone regarding my wife's Care plan. I've since learned this a state requirement. Direct communication from the administration was non existent. Policies were inconsistent, never explained, decisions made regarding my wife's care without her involvement in the process. She was always left in the dark The mask policy was over the top beyond any state guidelines. Masks required outside. I could bring food for my wife to eat outside but I couldn't eat with her and had to keep masked. We'd go off premises and eat together. When my wife got her new power wheelchair, her therapist and the wheelchair technician thought it was important for me to understand how it operated, I was told only 2 people could be in her room.. I was forced to wait outside. Again there was never anything in writing that said this. It seemed very arbitrary. My wife came home for a visit for a couple of days. A day after she returned to Cherry Blossom, I tested positive for COVID My wife was isolated for 7 days with the door and windows of her room closed. It was a week when temperatures were in the 100's. There was no air conditioning in her room. We had a fan which did nothing but circulate hot air. She tested negative for all 7 days. No one ever came to discuss what was going on. Another time the manager scolded one of my wife's visitors, an 80 year old woman with Parkinson's, for using a bathroom in the hallway saying it was for staff and residents only. There was no sign on the door that said this. Our friend was scolded for not wearing a mask. But the manager wasn't wearing one either The atmosphere could have been so different if the management were visible in the community exuding the positive affirmations found on some of the furnishings. I know of others who had the same concerns about the administration..

I have always experienced exceptional professionalism in the ownership and management, caring, considerate care staff and a beautiful, cleanly facility with warm decor and welcoming grounds. The hands-on staff (caregivers, nurses, etc) are excellent and care about the residents. The administrative staff, however, plays passive-aggressive blame games and takes very little accountability for poor practices.

I chose Cherry Blossom Cottage for my mother after looking at several other facilities. It is clean and inviting and the staff is wonderful and easy to get hold of. It's a local, family-run business, and I'm very happy I can reach someone 24/7 if needed. I'm happy to have Mom at Cherry Blossom Cottage.

My Dad has been a resident since January 2018. Since moving into Cherry Blossom Cottage, he has enjoyed good food, attentive staff and he is safe. His overall health has improved and he is happy . I feel fortunate that we found such a quality residence for my Dad.
