Its a good place. Its a good facility, they maintain it well, staff are good to the residents, and the community is strong and caring. When we visit I am always impressed by the range of activities on the calendar, by the above-and-beyond effort invested in seasonal decoration and events. It feels like a warm and caring place. My family members who live there agree.

We have lived here since 2017 and love it. We chose it because of Wendell & Betsy influence. Cousins wouldnt lead you astray ! There are so many advantages in CWV. It is like a luxury resort & the staff treat you like royalty. The facility offers every imaginable amenity from spa to golf to banquets. We have moved a couple of times due upgrades in care. CherryWood Village is a happy beautiful environment, offering opportunity for residents to take advantage experiences such as swimming, book club writing group , art and personal games with few friends. One of the nicest retirement homes I have ever been in. Clean, everyone is courteous, you can tell who the employees are. The food in the dining room was excellent! I especially liked all the mirals,and the veterans wall.

My aunt is in her 90s and loving the attention and care she is receiving. It is a family friendly community with devoted staff and an encouraging environment.

Only thing could be improved is healthy food choices. They do not cater to diabetic or cardiac diets. My mother has lived here many years and enjoys the facility and the many friends she has made. The staff is very helpful, but the chef needs training in special diets and support by management in this area otherwise the place is great and my mother enjoys the facility and the fact she does not have to go outside in the weather for eating, banking, hairdressing, church, etc. They have it all here.

Four years ago I was visiting my daughter here in Portland, Or... as we were driving by the Cherrywood Campus iit caught our eyes. We pulled in, looked around, decided it was calling our names. (Have you ever had that happen?) As we walked around the campus we couldnt believe the size of the enclosed pool, nor the number of exercise machines! and were even happier to learn there were people trained to help in all of these areas! We kept walking - through the center of the restaurant Grill (SCUMPTIOUS food!, saw the bank, beauty shop, fountain (ice cream :), and other good things... then saw some of the apartments. Needless to say, loved it! even though we were living in Brazil. with no intention of returning to the states I placed a deposit, just in caseIn the past four years Ive received several phone calls, as different apartments became available; and had to say not yet.THEN our lives had some profound health changes, requiring our return to the US. Two weeks ago came to be with my daughter - so guess where we went? We did another walk around, there IS an apartment available! Now we are preparing to move out here. Ill add a p.s after the move.

We have lived at CherryWood Village for 3 1, 2 years and enjoy it more as time goes on. The amenities are remarkable. The activities, qualified staff, superb maintenance and many friends make retirement a wonderful time of life. In addition to a complete Wellness Center with qualified staff readily available, there are may other offerings to make each day at CherryWood a worthwhile one. One must see it to believe it and a complete tour of the facility is the only way to appreciate the beauty of the surroundings and the welcoming atmosphere. Id urge anyone considering retirement living to make the decision while you can personally discuss the choices available. Youll soon be calling this your HOME.

My wife, Mary, and I have lived at CherryWood for over six years. Weve enjoyed our stay here. The food is good, the activities are more than adequate and the buildings resemble a college campus. There are interesting people here and we have made many friends. One of the secrets to enjoying our stay here has been the encouragement from the staff to start new programs. We have started a newsletter (THE CHERRY PIT), helped start a travel club, helped start a Forum on Contemporary Issues, started a tutoring program at the nearby middle school, suggested the start of a Camera Club, and more. In all of these the staff has been supportive and cooperative. If youre an active senior CherryWood is the place for you!

When my wife and I first visited CherryWood we were immediately impressed by the facility. The dining room is clean and airy and the food is very good. The fitness center is very well equipped and the swimming pool is the largest and best maintained that we have seen at any facility. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and well maintained.We were equally impressed with the residence facilities. The hallways are wide and well lit, and all the vacant apartments have been cleaned and refurbished. The apartment we selected is exactly what we had been looking for and we signed up immediately.Since we have been here we are most impressed with the staff. They are courteous, friendly and extremely helpful. Whenever we have a problem they respond immediately and are very efficient. We could not ask for better care.We have now been here for about 18 months and we consider our move here to be the best decision we have made. We love CherryWood and would recommend it to everyone.
