When I first arrived at McLoughlin Place I was broken in body and spirit. The staff welcomed me with open hearts and arms. I feel cared for and loved every day. I have come to expect the highest of care and I get it every day. I enjoy the on going daily activities and the delicious and diverse menu. I am truly home.

My aunt has been in McLoughlin Place since 3/22. We couldn't be happier. She is finally in an enviornment where she is cared for and appreciated. She has many friends, both residents and employees alike. I have personally had a few struggles and the staff was very kind and understanding. Through it all, they have worked with me and been nothing short of amazing.

RENTER BEWARE!!!! If you have questions for a detailed report on the monthly billing, this place does not supply one. Charges are basic rent and then they add AL services fee of $345 with a quantity amount. They don't supply a detailed financial report that includes the type services provided with the added cost of how many times extra services were provided. Recently, they added a $10 room delivery fee for meals for each delivery. Also beware that the amenities are added costs - not included with assisted living. However, the help there is great and my mom really likes them all. She also says the food is pretty good. So there's some good to this place. 🙂

The Executive Director works hard at making the facility a better place. Since place has opened after Covid lockdown, there are some fun outings, and some interesting activities.

This facility is a true blessing to me. I have been employed with this location for over 13 years. I thoroughly do enjoy the association with both the residents and staff. Our executive director is a really wonderful lady. She always greets everyone with kindness and gratitude; I absolutely admire her for that. The co-workers get along with each other and for that I am truly thankful.

I am employed here at McLoughlin Place. The management has a heart of gold and truly cares for each and every one of our residents. The entire community is beautiful, I am blessed to be a part of!! I would have no reservations bringing a family member here, if and when the time comes.

The staff are nice but I think they should really keep up on there cleanliness as far as washing bedding and making sure that they are bathed.

My mom is in memory care & my Da is in assisted living. I cannot imagine them anywhere else. The staff work very hard to take care of them. At the moment, my Da is in a nursing rehab & the staff has bent over backwards to help me get clothes, mail, etc. to him even though I know during this pandemic how difficult it is & how hard theyre working to keep them safe. I want to give Christina a shout out, shes been incredibly helpful at this unprecedented time & has even given me her personal cell number to call if I need anything. I cant thank the staff enough!!

My mother has been here since September of 2018. This is honestly the best place I could ever imagine. I expected issues to come up at some point, because they would anywhere and you just work them through. We have experienced nothing but exemplary assistance from the staff and management. They check on her every night , in the middle of the night. They are so personable with her. They regularly keep me aprised of any issues. Each staff member is nicer than the last. I have yet to meet someone that I feel is less than professional. The activities are wonderful. My mother keeps herself so busy. Best of all she is healthier than she was when she arrived in September because she is so happy. I truly love and appreciate this place so much.

We really enjoy the staff here and the system they have set up to ensure my grandmothers freedom, but still keep her safe. They have gotten my grandmother to be healthier th as n she has in a long time. The kitchen is lacking though, sometimes they have what their menu says and other times they dont. I love the little kitchenette and all the activities they have to ensure our elderly are still a big part of our community.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful the people have been who have taken care of my mother, who has Alzheimers and is in the Memory Care unit, for more than a decade. My mother first lived in an Assisted Living room back in 2003 but about a year later, she wandered and needed to be moved to the locked area.Over these many years, weve seen changes and improvements, but what has remained the same is the spirit of treating our loved ones in their care as family. The caregivers work hard to keep everyone clean, safe, relaxed and comfortable as if they were in their own home. Its not easy, at all, but the effort is there and I have never seen a cross word directed at a single resident. The administrators care and are responsive. They appreciate that you bring up issues so they can be resolved quickly. You can come visit any time and are made to feel welcome. And the activities directors work hard to bring variety to the residents, including tailoring specific activities to a person if they had a special interest earlier in their lives.I especially want to note Mary ODell, who helped us transition our Mom into McLoughlin Place and who still keeps an extra eye on her for us. Mary is the epitome of of all that makes us trust McLoughlin Place--a professional who knows how to handle tough situations, like when we had to move Mom from her independent apartment to a shared room in the memory care unit. I was so worried about Moms reaction to this, but Mary stepped in and told me to go on home after I got the room all ready, and she took Mom back personally and eased her into her new living situation. Problem solved! She is warm and caring and also facilitates Alzheimer Support Group meetings for the families, so people can share their feelings as their loved ones move through various stages of the illness. We learn about the latest research and tips on how to treat our loved ones who need to be approached differently now that they have memory issues.Another person to mention is Lynn, the hairdresser, who takes care of so many people--she is a saint.A long review but I have had 12 years of interactions at McLoughlin Place and I wanted to share them. I recommend McLoughlin Place highly. No elder facility is perfect, but I do think they try their best to do a good job including training their employees well and treating them well.Perhaps I should mention that my mother has been on Medicaid for much of the time she has been there--she spent down her funds long ago--but she has never been treated less than others who have more means.

Even though a space wasnt available for my uncle at their location, Mary directed me to her connections who had availability at their locations. My experience with Mary was a positive one. I came into her office not knowing which direction to turn, and she pointed me in a positive direction.
