RiverCrest is a lovely, family-style setting offering excellent care for seniors. With only eight apartments, the residents get lots of individual and personal attention and arent lost in the crowd, as often happens in large facilities. We feel very lucky to have our mom there.

Absolutely outstanding care and compassion. I have extensive experience with adult care facilities and Don & Kathy run one of the very best. They were constantly evaluating and updating the care my step-father received and were consistently a step ahead of me. Among other things, they employ incredibly compassionate staff and provide nutritious, personalized meals. I have nothing but positives to say about the level of care I witnessed and experienced at Rivercrest.

It has been only a short time since I moved my sweet Aunt to Rivercrest, but even in the short time she's been there, her health has improved. The staff understands that food is medicine, and careful attention and planning is put into creating menus that serve the health needs of its residents. The residents are well cared for and the rooms are kept clean.

My mom, Barbara Hardy moved to RiverCrest following a stay in the hospital. She was there for about a year and with assisted living she was very well cared for. Don and Kathy, with their medical skills and support from Comfort Hospice, worked together on her medications and a daily program; she regained her strength and her beautiful smile and loved Don, Kathy, and their staff. They sometimes watched TV with her, (Don even watched dancing) or just came to her room to visit and laugh with story telling, and she got her nails polished for the first time and that made her happy too. With Kathy's dietary skills, mom was eating better and enjoying her meals and snacks. She had a lovely room with big windows where she could 'people watch", one of her favorite past times. We lost our mom this past October, she passed peacefully. Everyone there was so helpful and supported our family with love. This is the place you would want to have caring for your loved one. We were blessed to have them in our lives and most of all in our mom's life. Thank you Don, Kathy, Staff, and Comfort Hospice.

My mother-in-law, Jeannie, spent the last few years of her life at River Crest. She moved there directly from her 3 bedroom, 2 bath house, into an apartment with a living room/kitchenette, plus private bedroom and bathroom. It was just perfect! Don and Kathy said we could make the apartment to Jeannies liking, even putting up many, many photos and large paintings and clocks! I remember that Jeannies neighboring apartment had a tenant that needed a hoist/lift to get out of bed, and Don engineered an apparatus to assist him. The things that I liked about River Crest were that the residents all ate lunches and dinners together in the dining room, and Don and Kathy and their employees would make conversation with the residents as they ate. Breakfasts were done casually as the residents woke up and made it to the dining area. The food was exceptional, with a wide variety of healthy foods and snacks. Diets were adhered to, and meals would be served in the rooms if a resident was sick. Private meals with the resident and his/her family members could be arranged. River Crest even had its own vegetable garden, tended by Kathys dad. There were areas for sitting and entertaining guests, and tables were set up for games, crafts and puzzles as needed. The River Crest crew kept the place spotless, and even decorated as the seasons changed. On a personal note, Jeannies daily pill/prescriptions were administered with care, and as she aged, she was able to get help added on with some chores. I guess the best part of Jeannies stay was that she felt like she was part of a family; she was treated like family, and it felt like home, indeed.

After numerous health and behavioral issues in two previous assisted living programs, I found and placed my Dad in the care of these wonderful folks. They have been absolutely undaunted by any of the challenges he presents and have gone above and beyond in their approach to his care. Kathy and Don's years of experience, creativity, healthy dietary approach and respectfully loving care have given me tremendous peace of mind. Also impressive and unique to this home is their long term employment of some very skilled and attentive staff members. Their commitment and desire to increase my Dad's physical and mental health as well as his quality of life is evident with each and every visit I make. I could gush endlessly about this home and am happy to be contacted as a reference.

This was a wonderful living place for my mom,she loved everyone who worked there and they loved her. she was very happy with the food and the room she had and the food was very good (she was a picky eater in her later time). My dad lived here during his last years, and Don and Kathy were wonderful to him. It felt more like a real home instead of a place for just special care of the elderly. He was able to have his grand piano in his room, and that meant the world to him. One time when Dad had an emergency, both Don and Kathy were there almost instantly to help assess what was needed next. My sister and I appreciated all the kindness and care they extended.

If you have a loved one that needs special care, this is where you would want them. Our mother came here about a year ago and with the care given by Don, Kathy, and the staff, as well as Comfort Hospice, she regained much of her strength and her beautiful smile returned. We lost our mom this October and she went peacfully. Don, Kathy, and the staff. were very supportive and giving. Our mom loved them and we were blessed to have them in our lives. Thank you
