Orchard House Assisted Living is definitely a five star place to live! I am a Franciscan Sister. I have been here a little over a year. The staff is remarkable and the administrative team is outstanding. I enjoy living with the Benedictines who are always so welcoming. Their Spirit is in the very fabric of the place. I often join them for Vespers. We have Mass three times a week and a Eucharistic minister, either Father Alred from the Abbey or a parishioner from St. Mary's Church, bring us Holy Communion on two other days. There are people here from diverse faith traditions. All traditions are honored and respected. As I was walking down the hall today on my way to Mass, I was thinking to myself: "I really like it here!" Thank you to all who make this possible! Sister Mary Jo chaves, OSF

We moved my aunt to Orchard House when she needed to transition out of independent care at another facility into assisted living. We were very worried that the change would be difficult, as she was opposed to moving and very particular in her opinions. However, it was a fantastic decision - she was extremely happy with the housing, care, and the staff, as were we. She passed recently, and the care during her final days in in-room hospice was excellent in what is a very difficult time. I will note that there are some negative reviews from long ago here - there was a significant ownership/management change in 2024(?) which may have been a significant improvement. We saw no reason to complain at all, and we there there almost every day as we live very close by.

My mother has been here 1 year and the staff has been very kind. She has been going to the exercise class and has lost weight so her overall health has greatly improved.

Despite the less than complimentary reviews I don't see patients beating a path to the exits. I have been a patient on.the nursing and residence sides twice.. During each stay I have received focused and prompt treatment.I feel safe, secure, and I think we enjoy a very high quality staff. My religious preference is also respected and accommodated. If you want your nose wiped every 5 minutes, look elsewhere.
