Reviews Lone Oak Assisted Living
July 2024
My occupation has taken me into several assisted living and memory care facilities. I have been to Lone Oaks assisted living many times and each time I have visited there has been very pleasant. Driving up to the facility the first thing I noticed is that the grounds are well maintained, nice neighborhood and inviting. When I entered the front doors it smelled clean, there was no clutter lying around. Every time I have visited, the staff are welcoming and helpful. I have had a meal in the dining room with a few of the residents, the food was good and also nice portions. The residents that I have had the pleasure to meet with all seem happy and well cared for. This is a facility that I would feel comfortable having a loved one live at.

I am impressed with all the fun activities for the residents. From day trips to restaurants or a trip to a farm. There is so many great opportunities from mini concerts, crafts and socials with each other. The staff all seem to genuinely care. They are friendly and helpful.

We have had a wonderful working relationship with Lone Oak for a few years now. We believe though, that one of Lone Oak's shining stars in Linda Lazar! The staff goes above and beyond to ensure the well-being and comfort of each individual. They took excellent care of my loved one, showing compassion and attention to detail in every aspect of their care. Knowing that my family member is in such capable and caring hands brings immense peace of mind. The food is also exceptional. The variety offered is impressive, catering to different tastes and dietary needs. From breakfast options to wholesome dinners, every dish is fresh, flavorful, and made with high-quality ingredients. The chefs clearly take pride in their work, and it shows in both the presentation and taste. The meals are designed with residents' health in mind. The dining experience at Lone Oak Assisted Living is top-notch. It's clear that the staff is dedicated to providing not just food, but a source of enjoyment and well-being for the residents. Highly recommended!

I'm very familiar with Lone Oak Assisted Living and must say I love the feel of the community. It's clean and well staffed with kind caregivers. The food is pretty good as I have enjoyed eating there many times before. The staff and management have always been there if I have any issues. The community grounds are well kept and beautiful with gardens the residents maintain themselves. The community itself is so well placed within walking distance to St. Vincent de Paul's and Fred Meyer right across the street. The residents seem happy and well cared for there.

It looks nice from the outside. Never gone inside as I pass it to go visit at McKenzie Living; which is a group of 4 Large houses, each with 15 private rooms. It is a specialized group home for folks with traumatic brain injuries.

Four months ago I moved my 87 year old mom with dementia from out of state into my home in hopes of getting her into a care facility nearby. Things kept being delayed, until the facility finally recommended we look elsewhere. From the moment I walked into Lone Oak, it felt like an answered prayer. My initial thought upon driving into their parking lot, was what a beautiful setting...my brothers will like this place! But, it's just assisted living, not memory care...I was skeptical they would take Mom. I walked in anyway, impressed with the entry. It reminded me of some hotels my husband & I stay in sometimes when we travel. I told the receptionist that I have an 87 year old mother with dementia, and was looking for a home for her. Linda, the Marketing Director, came to greet me right away and we shared stories. She spent so much time with me, giving me a tour of the facility and the studio apartment that she was just getting ready to market. She even said they could come out immediately to assess Mom to see if she would be a good candidate for their community, which they did the very next morning! Mom got a thumbs up, so I immediately passed all the information on to my brothers for their approval. Within days, I signed all the necessary paperwork, and Mom was moved into her new apartment a week from my initial contact. Mom's only been at Lone Oak for a week, but I have been impressed with all whom I've met and dealt with. Mom's been struggling with the transition, but we knew she would. I already dealt with her transition to my home the four months previous. I'm hopeful she will eventually settle into a good routine, make friends, and feel well cared for in her new environment. Lone Oak feels nothing like a nursing home or memory care facility to me. All the staff and residents I have encountered have been friendly and welcoming. Thank you for your care for my mom!

I was so pleased with the tour that Chris gave me. It was so informative and everything I saw was done with care and tenderness. My father was there a few years ago so now that I'm needing help, it is a blessing just hoping to call this home. What a beautiful and spacious building and everywhere I looked I saw smiles. Now that's how a home should be!

My mother has lived in the Lone Oak Assisted Living Community now for about 5 years. I visit her regularly, at least several times a week and speak with her by phone every day, so I am quite familiar with her experience and many of the staff, especially the administrator, Mandy B. I can say unequivocally that my mom experiences love and respect from the care staff, from top to bottom. I want to give a special shout out to Judy who regularly is at the front desk. She is efficient, friendly, calm, professional and just an all around loving person. She seems to be very familiar with every resident and their needs. Frequently I see residents swinging by her desk just to chat. I highly recommend getting to know her because she is accessible and is a great source of information! She makes things happen. Mom had her 89th birthday recently and several birthday balloons magically appeared in her apartment-that thrilled her! She received a birthday card from the staff. She was thrilled and felt loved! Mom needs extra help dressing, showering and other personal care from the caregivers and I can say that she is appreciative of their timely and gentle attention to her needs. Her medications are administered to her in a strict timely manner by the med techs. Sometimes mom has a fall; the administrator usually has a face to face meeting with her, in a compassionate manner, and asks how the fall happened and suggests ways to prevent further falls. The facility is always clean and in good shape-the maintenance man, Alana sees to that. Mom really likes the nurse, Jessica and says that she is compassionate and pays attention to detail. From my experience I know that she is quick to respond to any concerns I have about mom. During this difficult time with the pandemic, Lone Oak has kept us appraised of the precautions that they have had to establish. They regularly test the staff and residents for the virus and keep us appraised if they have any positive tests. They have had very few instances of positive tests. I highly recommend Lone Oak as a place where you’ll be confident that your loved one is loved and well cared for with compassion and love.
